If you crave the old pats Hubba Hubba joint this is your fix. Hubba water an a large chili cheese fries will bring back those old midnight greasy spoon giddiness . So so good

First time eating at Texas Chili. Went here for a late night craving. The spot looks like your typical late night food joint. Small tables on the side, the retro stools at the dine-in bar. They are open late, the food is not expensive so it's sort of perfect. As a first timer.. I was not expecting the chili to be so hot. The food is so hot you can't even enjoy any of it. I wish there was a level of ordering the heat on the chili, it's basically chili flakes sprinkled with chili. If you like hot chili- this is your spot!!!

I have nothing bad to say about this place. I ordered two steak tacos here and I thought they were pretty good for the price. 7 bucks got me double corn tortillas, with onions cilantro and steak similar to what you would get in a "steakum" sandwich. They included some fresh cut limes and a grilled jalapeño. They had a green sauce and a red sauce. They're open late and right across the train station if you don't drive!

If you grew up in the area, you've probably stumbled into Pat's Hubba at some point in your life. While you might not remember most of that evening, the next day would be sure to remind you that you ate something very spicy and tasty before passing out. Texas Chili is a newer and cleaner version of Pat's... They even have a bathroom. The food is essentially the same. The chili is all beef and heat (no beans). It's a little greasy but that is what makes it great. The classic order is a chili cheeseburger wedge, chili cheese fries, and their version of hubba water (water with a splash of Hawaiian Punch). This is something that you must experience at least once in your life.

I used to be loyal to Hubba's in Port Chester, but I must say, Texas Chili is amazing. Consistent chili, delicious food, decent service, clean. You know what you're getting and it tastes just how you'd expect it to. Congratulations Texas Chili, you have won!

Texas Omelette with sausage cooked to absolute perfection. Every mouth watering bite is amazing and this is no understatement!

The best omelette I've had to date, get the Texas Omelette, so good! Cooked to perfection, the sausage was also amazing. If you're nearby and need breakfast, this is a no brainier!

Pic taken about a year ago. Chicken wing platter w/chili. More expensive nowadays. Good if you are looking for a greasy spoon.

Anytime you find yourself in Westchester County, specially in New Rochelle, check this place out…read more for Lunch or Dinner. It is a very quiet place, cousy and very romantic. Anytime, I find myself in, and I am in a lot, it feels like in a boat, a special place, private in a cruise boat... The food is composed of Italian and South American dishes, a very rare combination that gives a lot of choices of very delicious meals... The service is super great, they are very patient, knowing it is very difficult to choose from the great diversity. They have a lot of parking spaces, either in the building garage or along Main Street. Just check it out and think me later.

What a hidden gem!…read more My cousin was in a play recently, and another family member was researching where should we go for a linner - and stumbled upon 179 Main. From a current Westchester resident, my sister, mom and I were hesitant to go , but we were proved wrong that it was a great restaurant. We were a party of 7, and we all felt cared for, the staff was understanding, and attentive from the moment we sat down to leave. Each member in my party had something diffferent: 1. Chicken sandwich 2. Burger 3. Ahi tuna tacos 4. Carbonora (x2) 5. Chicken capricossa 6. Chicken Parm - and even accommodated vodka sauce instead of regular marinara sauce. Wine was nicely poured, cocktails were tasty (although I didn't love my raspberry martini) beer was cold. The restaurant was clean and tidy, and welcoming. Will be coming back ASAP!

Came here for a slightly early dinner after a Broadway show with a party of 4 on a Sunday evening…read more We had a reservation, but it didn't seem like we would have needed one, but I suppose better safe than sorry. The ambiance feels straight of the golden age, which is an aesthetic I'm certainly a sucker for. Even their robust cocktail menu fits the bill and is one of the prettiest menus I've ever had the joy of perusing. Staff was able to sit us a little bit ahead of our reservation which was also much appreciated. Wait staff was also very helpful and attentive, I don't think I've ever had my water glass so topped off! Starting off with cocktails, this place is a gin bar through and through and you'd be making a mistake if you didn't try one of their many options. I went with the 10,000 words, which you simply just give a spirit of your choice (I picked gin of course) and whether you antes) wanted your drink shaken or stirred and the bartender does the rest, so a bit of a surprise! I wound up with their version of The Last Word which was delightfully citrusy but I was hoping I'd wind up with something a little more adventurous app things considered. My girlfriend got the blackberry G&T, which was not only very pleasing to look at but delicious to boot. For food, we started with splitting some zucchini blossoms and beef cheek bao buns (both come in portions of 3). Both were tasty, but I love a good bao bun and these were so light and pillowy, I could have just went for an order of those for my main course. For the entree I went for the roasted half chicken, perhaps the most unassuming choice on the menu but this was maybe the best roast chicken I've ever had. Prepared perfectly, cooked to perfection, excellent portion size, and the kicker of it all was the stunning gravy that I was tempted to lick my plate for. Chicken is very easy to screw up, and they nailed it on all fronts here. My girlfriend went for the Valerie Signature burger with white cheddar and this thing did not mess around! A very rich patty, cooked to her temperature of choice served alongside some garlic truffle fries that made an American classic feel just a little more elevated. Our experience was delightful and I'd love to comeback here again, especially to check out more of the cocktail menu and soak in more of that golden age aura the place gives.

But while I waited for a fried seafood dinner order not far off on Mamaroneck Ave., I thought stopping here would be good. Ugggh. I was impressed with Mercurio's pasta supply. An additional item of note, freezers are clearly labeled, pasta is all frozen and there's a good assortment of convenient Italian pre-prepared, pre-packaged pasta+ meat, pasta+veggie filling meals AND more. The Spinach Lasagna (bought for my mom) and Butternut Squash Ravioli (for me) were easily my two top picks. I also picked up Mozzarella Sticks and non-meat Italian red sauce. As an avid seafood lover, I noticed a few seafood-filled pasta which will probably get some other time. I don't think price was bad at all- then again I can't gauge it with anything else. CA$H only- by the way. Even though I didn't make a big buy, by the time I left, I was way past the maybe-I-should-watch-what-I-eat. But I'll enjoy... now.
