The food is incredible here, specifically the burgers. Furthermore, the service at the bar is particularly good and often preferred as this is a no-reservations joint. There are also lots of tvs with various sports on and, so long as there is not a crowd watching, they will be happy to switch to your game. Ate here yesterday. The food was decent. Ordered bacon potato skins for appetizer and fish and chips for entree. Hubby ordered mozzarella sticks for appetizer and a cheese burger for entree. The staff is very nice and the food comes out quickly. It was 19 degrees outside and a little breezy inside so I had to put my coat back on after having it off for a while. I'm giving a three not because the food wasn't good but because I have had better and compared to other places where I have eaten the same dishes theirs is not the best. The potato skins tasted like they had been fried and the potato scooped out of the middle of the potato and the fish batter for the cod was not flavorful and dry. I grew up in the area and have been eating here for around 45 years. I dont live close anymore, so haven't been here for possibly 10 years. I ordered an Eastchester Burger which I always ordered...what happened??? The plate was smaller, the chili was nasty, and the Burger was falling apart. Sorry Pipers Kilt, but two thumbs down. The food is good and fresh but there are two issues I have found. The first is there are no vegetarian options or vegan unless you want a plain salad. They need a handcrafted veggie burger. Also the service is okay if you go like early today but then as it gets busier for brunch lunch or dinner forget it! The waitress gives u creamer and forgets the coffee. You have to remind the busboy to remind her because you will not see her again. Good luck everyone getting sugar or a coffee refill! Also if you want a salad you might get fries instead. This place has been here for years..I regret it took me this long to review it. The place is a charming old school Irish pud in every sense. When you sit at the bar and hear the Bartender (John) speaks with an Irish Brouge, you know two things are likey: the Beer is cold and the food is gonna be great. Well Yup and Yup! The Best Burger In Town.....That's what the sign says right outside the entrance to this smallish Irish Pub. My Guiness draft was on point. They don't take reservations, so after an approximately 10-minute wait for a table of five in their small dining room, we were seated. Started with the French Onion Soup. Came in a small crock but was loaded with cheesy goodness. Delicious. Had the Manhattan Burger (Canadian bacon, imported Swiss cheese, tomato & sautéed onions) medium. The burgers are served your choice of fries or coleslaw or potato salad or small tossed or Caesar salad. I choose the Cole slaw. I kept hearing about this place having good burgers. They have a few options and all are very good, nicely cooked and the right amount of meat. The servers are friendly and quick which is what you want. It looks like an old bar, and feels like it too, but its kept clean. They have a parking lot, but its hard to find if you are not used to the area (its a little driveway 2 doors down). Only thing i would change is the fries, they werent bad, but was hoping for something to match the wow factor of the burger. read more

WORST BURGER IN WESTCHESTER So. Many. Problems. The patty itself was mealy, mushy, and fell apart. And tasted awful. I got the bacon and American cheese burger, something was off, tasted super low quality and like burnt chemicals. That, on top of the patty which was worse than school lunch meat made the entire thing inedible. I will say, they did remove it from our bill and were east going about it. The other two people I was with were also put off by their burgers, but weren't as bad as mine. Neither of them could finish, as the patty just fell apart. Buns were completely lacking. Grocery store wheat buns. Totally soggy. Not at all what I'm looking for in the "best burger in westchester". Fries were average. Good ratio of crispy outside to mashed inside, 8/10. Cole slaw not good enough to eat, not bad. Potato salad 7/10. Mashed potatoes 6/10. Onion rings were GREAT tho! There was a wait but it wasn't bad for a Saturday night, at 6 pm it was 30 min wait. My husband has been telling that this place has the best burgers in Eastchester so I had to try it. I got the Buffalo Burger with extra crispy fries. The burger looks like it's fresh and handmade. Nice and juicy!!! It came with a fried onion ring on top with the blue cheese in the middle and wing sauce over the top. A great meaty burger. The fries were extra crispy and hot. Hubby got the burger with cheese and bacon and sweet potato fries. He really enjoyed it. The staff was quick with serving and attentive. After the trunk or treat from the Eastchester Town Hall, the Fam went to Piper's the food is delicious, their burgers and fries are the go to. Services at their best, quick and fast, depending on the day and evening, it can be crowed and a waiting period , the area is roomy but not big, we went there for dinner; we had to wait for a table of 3 , a week later we went back for lunch and we didn't have to wait at all. If you are seeking Italian or pizza in the Eastchester/Scarsdale area there are a multitude of options to consider- alphabetically from Burrata :) to Via Forno :( and many in between. The quest for a quality burger is a bit trickier as there are not that many great options. For true Afficionados the go to spot without question remains Pipers Kilt. The failure of Westchester Burger to gain traction and a following on Garth Road remains a mystery to me as I thought it was the right product and location for this establishment but I guess the culinary stars were not alligned. Sorry but Jackie B's has yet to really impress me. Growlers in Tuckahoe was our back up plan. The homey Piper's Kilt stays on target because they consistently put out an outstanding burger. The Eastchester, with cheddar cheese, bacon and a side of chilli is without question indulgent but that's the idea. There is a wide selection of beers on draft and in bottles and the service for this type of restaurant is fine. Parking can be a bit of a challenge but there is a lot behind the restaurant. The value proposition is getting stretched a bit at $18.95..... My recommendation for this restaurant is DO NOT CHANGE THE BURGER RECEIPE. Keep doing what you are good at and guests will continue to appreciate Piper's Kilt. read more

The waitress mixed up our $30 bill with a $65 bill...the new bar tender is good but that same old bar tender is still there who I have seen on multiple occasions pre pandemic use his hands in the ice bin instead of a ice shovel... Service is pretty good and as they get to know you as a regular they get nicer ;) I've only had the burger (amazing), fries (just okay) and the Caesar salad (great homemade dressing) but can honestly say the burgers are pretty close to being my favorite anywhere.
