Besides the food, the atmosphere was absolutely amazing. They sat us in the room off the bar to the right. It was my first time there and I went with friends. It was easy for all of us to walk in and out and the waitress was very sweet and knowledgeable. It was restaurant week which we were in aware of so we were pleasantly surprised as we were able to have a three course meal for not a bad price at all. I had French onion soup to start and I was very happy with my choice as it was very flavorful and had a ton of onions which I love when they leave in all of them when they serve it. My friends had clam chowder and calamari. I had a few calamari and was very happy with how fresh and crispy it was. They gave a nice portion on all three. As for my main course I had a a very nice size steak sandwich that were absolutely delicious. It came with hand cut French fries. I couldn't believe how good it was. I'm usually extremely picky and the steak was so tender and it melted it my mouth. The fries were killer good as well. For desert, I had bread pudding and that was wonderful as well. It came in a cream sauce and I was very happy with what I picked. All in all, I loved my meal and the time spent with my friends that I hadn't seen in almost a year. I've visited this place multiple times. The food is excellent! Unfortunately if you choose to eat at the bar, you cannot sit comfortably due to its terrible construction. The complete lack of legroom makes it impossible to eat or drink comfortably. Also, depending on who is preparing them, the mixed drinks are always inconsistent. Most of the time, the mixed drinks are unfit for consumption. Myself and friends had to send them back on several occasions and simply switch to beer. This place has incredibly poor acoustics. You can't even hear, think or carry on a conversation when a band is playing. When a band is not playing they play pretty good music. This could be a fantastic hangout for locals. It just needs some tweaking. read more

I found myself at Wicked Wolf North the other day for brunch. Even though it was my first time here, WWN has been in my periphery for a while. My parents had been here multiple times for dinner, and I've been to the previous incarnation of this place in the Bronx. Always looking to try new places, I was super excited to check WWN out. WWN sits in Tuckahoe in a historic building (at least that's what i says on the plaque outside). Prior to WWN taking over, this was a restaurant called the Old Stone Mill - which was notable for being featured on an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. When WWN opened, they actually "moved" from their original location in the Bronx and added "North" to the name. The original Wicked Wolf still exists, however it's under a different owner. The restaurant is pretty - stone exterior, outdoor patio space, an eye-catching bar, and a dining room with upscale finishes. I will say, the dining room is a smidge sterile, it looks like a ballroom or catering hall space with tables instead of a dedicated dining room. Their brunch menu is pretty standard - they have a decent selection of breakfast and lunch items. We decided to start with three shareables for the table: the table pancakes, BEC sliders, and breakfast tacos. The pancakes were fine, though they were more the size of standard pancakes - there was nothing really sharable about it except that they were in the middle of the table. The breakfast tacos were bland, and the sliders looked a little amateurish. For the sliders specifically, they came out unfinished, we had to ask them to add the smoked ketchup it said they came with on the menu. For my main I got something off of the "handheld" section, though I was a little confused since it only said "scrambled eggs" on the menu. Our server explained that it was actually a burrito, which sounded good so I went with that. The burrito was filled with scrambled eggs, peppers, and (I think) tomato and came with wedge fries. The burrito was, again, bland, I was struggling to find flavor. I also had to ask for the salsa and sour cream that it said it came with on the menu; this seemed to be a pattern because another person in my party also had to ask for things for their dish that did not come out. And while we're on the subject, someone else in my party ordered a BLT but it didn't mention on the menu that the sandwich had Irish bacon - that would have been nice to mention. Service was friendly, but there were a lot of misses during my meal. The ambiguous menu led to inconsistencies with what was served, and three dishes we ordered came out incomplete. I'm not sure where the root cause is, but there needs to be better quality control. The food also left something to be desired - the quality didn't match the overall aesthetics of the space. Overall, I wasn't really impressed with Wicked Wolf North - I would be willing to give them another shot, but I'm not running back. read more

Dinner in the atrium is an unpleasant experience. I was taken aback by how loud it was even though only half of the tables were filled. There is nothing to absorb the sounds in this room. You can hear too much of the conversations at the tables around you, not to mention the clinking of silverware and glasses, making it hard to focus on your conversation. The atrium has a clear ceiling that appears to be plastic panels. I have seen other restaurants add these types of rooms as a way to expand their seating areas. Though the server told me it would take 30 minutes for them to prepare the half roasted chicken dinner, it took nearly an hour and was disappointing. The waitress forgot one of our meal orders and gave that person a salad as his meal saying that's what he ordered as his main dish. After waiting so long for the chicken, it was too late to order a meal at that point. Our server seemed overwhelmed and was not attentive. read more

It's dead there I was since they got rid of the bands. It used to be a lively crowd. The problem is they didn't have enough bartenders. They have like 30 waitresses but not enough bartenders don't get it. They said they stopped the bands because no one's buying drinks. Experienced my first visit to WWN. We were greeted warmly upon entering and to our left saw a lively bar area filled with patrons of the restaurant. We were then seated in the main dining room. A very large room with plenty of space. My only criticism you will find in this review was that it was very brightly lit. Maybe tempering the brightness could be considered. We ordered fried calamari and the crab tots. Both were very tasty. Dinner entrees included German style pot roast , pork loin with sauerkraut and duck l'orange. Everyone was pleased with their meal. The food was delicious. Dessert we shared a cheesecake that was very good cappuccino and espresso. We will definitely come back!!! read more

Food at the wicked wolf is hit or miss sometimes it's good sometimes it's not. My main issue is that they allow staff to park in the only two handicap accessible spots behind the restaurant and don't really care that someone who's handicapped has nowhere to park . They told us we could park on the side of the road, which is very dangerous when you're trying to take out a wheelchair or mobility scooter with the traffic coming at you . It's a shame because it's not a bad restaurant. They just don't have any service skills and don't realize that they are actually breaking the law by not being ADA compliant and leaving the handicapped spots for patrons not employees that are able bodied. read more

I have to admit i have eaten at this restaurant many times including on Thanksgiving and have been very happy with food service & ambiance. Unfortunately we decided to try going to the bar for Sunday football....big mistake. The bartender was very nice until his buddies showed up. His friend Rob was totally inappropriate making comments and requesting a blowjob shot and to make it extra creamy Yuck. Disgusting I will go back because the manager is lovely and as I said food is very good we will just avoid the bar and I suggest everyone do the same! read more

I know, it sounds like an ad but it isn't :) The drinks are great, bartenders are super nice, and overall great vibes. I've come here in the past for bridal showers and even a wedding. 3.5 stars. The Wicked Wolf North offers many different options at their location in Tuckahoe- a restaurant space, private room potential, a full bar area and even live entertainment. This has been a tough spot location with previous owners so I applaud the team there now as they are trying really hard. Regarding the restaurant- the dining room decor leaves a bit to be desired. The red painted room with chandeliers could use a real freshen up as there are curtains that cover all natural light coming into the space. Kind of uninspiring. The food is OK/pretty good- kind of a mix between a tavern and an American restaurant with homey dishes such as Prime rib, chicken pot pie, Shepards Pie, and the clear winner of the evening- weiner schnitzel. The appetizers were good if not great- calamari, crab tots, tuna Tartare, etc. The bus team was over-anxious to clear plates but the server was sweet. Prices were fine. If I owned this establishment I would hire a reputable chef for a few months to fine tune the menu as they are so close... Additional positives to Wicked Wolf North are the ample parking in the rear of the building, fun bar scene and the weekly live music schedule. The crowd is a mix of groups, couples, and families and tends towards older- probably due to the band playing classic rock hits. After over 50 Yelp reviews-- I have experienced much better food elsewhere but I would certainly come back to this place for the passable food, live music and warm service. read more

Food was good. We went tonight because they started their Irish menu today. For a change we decided to sit in the bar. While well appointed, this was a big mistake. Large adjacent table with at least one person way too drunk and too loud to be in there. Could not even hear the person sitting across the table from me. Not only were they loud but had brought kids with them who appeared ready to leave before we even got there, and then left them sitting at a separate table Management should have asked them to leave. By the time we left there were a few other tables complaining about the obnoxious table. I will NEVER sit in that room again. I can't believe they were going to drive in that condition. They finally left as we were paying our check. Turned out to be a very disagreeable evening, despite the good food. read more

To be fair I only shared cocktails with two friends, one bottle of wine was shared by two of us, and the other ordered high end tequila drinks. After the initial pour of wine, not one of the two bartenders came around to see if our glasses needed refills, or to ask if we required anything else. We had to wave down the bartender more than once, and never received an explanation as to why the service was ridiculously slow. It wasn't an overly crowded night, and we were not particularly impatient. I'd be very disappointed if I saw this pair working the bar again. Went after a search for the nearest sit down restaurant with a parking lot. Stumbled into one of the nicest Sunday brunches I have ever experienced. Sat in the solarium. Great drink menu. Party of three all had one. Excellent. Appetizer of biscuits and gravy set the tone. One word: gourmet. Entrees were perfectly prepared. Went here because I always frequented the Bronx location and wanted to see the difference. The difference it is. The entrance looked and felt so upscale. It is beautiful. Plenty of parking and very quiet. Not too close to the crazy Main St traffic but close enough to get to the MetoNorth and other stores. Started with the whiskey wings and they were delicious. They were a tiny spicy but flavorful. If your a wing eater like me get two orders. The square was on all the wings abundantly and the dipping sauce for the veggies tasted great. The dip actually made me want the veggies, which were very fresh. Got my wings crunchy because that's how I like them. I also ordered the Wicked Wolf burger with mushrooms, onions, and mozzarella cheese. The fries were a little too over fried. Too many burnt ones on my plate. The burger has a nice big patty and it tastes awesome. Great portion and cooked medium, exactly how I wanted it. My brunch experience was underwhelming. Side note- this is a new restaurant so there is always time for them to see what works and what doesn't, I hope this review can be used as positive criticism For such a gorgeous restaurant the item I ordered did not live up to my expectation. The brunch menu had a good amount of selections with a whole section dedicated to Benedict's, as well as appetizers and classic entrees. I ordered the avocado toast which is $18, description says it has cilantro, egg, hot sauce and crumbled cheese. I asked the waitress how the egg comes and she said she was unsure and will get back to me - which she never did. The avocado toast came out and it was a hard boiled egg, okay, after the first bite I just picked all the egg off. The hard boiled egg was cold which tells me it was not made a la minute but probably done hours before in the morning or maybe the night before, just was not fresh. I wish the egg option was buyers choice because I would have preferred a different style egg and that would have made the avocado toast worth $18. It was on a thick delicious piece of sourdough and the avocado mash was delicious. For $18 I am disappointed, however, if it were $10 I would be pleased. Service was alright, I was in a large party granted that does affect service times so not going to base the rate off that. Beautiful ambiance and clean bathroom. Very high marks for this establishment. I am delighted to be their first review on Yelp! Our menu choices included the Chicken Kyiv, the Salmon dish, the Pot Roast dish on the special Oktoberfest menu, and the Branzino dish. All were delicious. Vegetables and starches were excellent and hot. The wine was delicious. The service was stellar and the shift manager, Jennifer, stopped by our table to check in on us and I told her how delighted we were. Atmosphere was wonderful and we were on the early side of the evening (dining at 6 PM). By 8 PM the place was packed and the ambience took a turn for the more noisy, but that will happen with good food, good friends and the opportunity o converse in a small homey environment. Last week I for Mother's Day I looked around for the perfect place for such a special lady. Upon my research I came across a restaurant called The Wicked Wolf North. Overall, it looked perfect as it had ample options at a reasonable price. Upon entering the restaurant my hopes of giving my mother a proper gift was quickly dashed. One of the appetizers ordered were meatballs which were gray, severed without marinara sauce, and bland. I flagged down our server to inquire about the food and was told they were good so just eat them as they were featured in a magazine. I found this response disrespectful as when I voice a concern about my food I don't wish to be challenged or told to just eat it. While they did eventual provide a Cesar Salad as a substitute, I found this worse as it was dry and severed without a dressing or cheese. The main course fared no better. The potatoes and other vegetables were ice cold and for dessert you guessed it another misstep with a rice pudding that was bland and forgettable. I was surprised they couldn't sprinkle a little cinnamon on top for flavor. Additionally, the side of the table I was sitting on had a section that was tucked away. Unfortunately, the brace that holds it in place was broken and I ended up with that part of the table in my lap for the entire meal. Lastly to add insult to injury when I mentioned this to management, they completely ignored me as if I wasn't even there. Father's Day is a few weeks away. I would highly recommend skipping this restaurant so that at least your father may have a better day. read more
