I found myself at Wicked Wolf North the other day for brunch. Even though it was my first time here, WWN has been in my periphery for a while. My parents had been here multiple times for dinner, and I've been to the previous incarnation of this place in the Bronx. Always looking to try new places, I was super excited to check WWN out. WWN sits in Tuckahoe in a historic building (at least that's what i says on the plaque outside). Prior to WWN taking over, this was a restaurant called the Old Stone Mill - which was notable for being featured on an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. When WWN opened, they actually "moved" from their original location in the Bronx and added "North" to the name. The original Wicked Wolf still exists, however it's under a different owner. The restaurant is pretty - stone exterior, outdoor patio space, an eye-catching bar, and a dining room with upscale finishes. I will say, the dining room is a smidge sterile, it looks like a ballroom or catering hall space with tables instead of a dedicated dining room. Their brunch menu is pretty standard - they have a decent selection of breakfast and lunch items. We decided to start with three shareables for the table: the table pancakes, BEC sliders, and breakfast tacos. The pancakes were fine, though they were more the size of standard pancakes - there was nothing really sharable about it except that they were in the middle of the table. The breakfast tacos were bland, and the sliders looked a little amateurish. For the sliders specifically, they came out unfinished, we had to ask them to add the smoked ketchup it said they came with on the menu. For my main I got something off of the "handheld" section, though I was a little confused since it only said "scrambled eggs" on the menu. Our server explained that it was actually a burrito, which sounded good so I went with that. The burrito was filled with scrambled eggs, peppers, and (I think) tomato and came with wedge fries. The burrito was, again, bland, I was struggling to find flavor. I also had to ask for the salsa and sour cream that it said it came with on the menu; this seemed to be a pattern because another person in my party also had to ask for things for their dish that did not come out. And while we're on the subject, someone else in my party ordered a BLT but it didn't mention on the menu that the sandwich had Irish bacon - that would have been nice to mention. Service was friendly, but there were a lot of misses during my meal. The ambiguous menu led to inconsistencies with what was served, and three dishes we ordered came out incomplete. I'm not sure where the root cause is, but there needs to be better quality control. The food also left something to be desired - the quality didn't match the overall aesthetics of the space. Overall, I wasn't really impressed with Wicked Wolf North - I would be willing to give them another shot, but I'm not running back.

We had a really nice Thanksgiving dinner at wicked Wolf. Prime rib was excellent, lamb chops were good but best of all the service was impeccable. We enjoyed the various appetizers of calamari, baked clams and everybody was pleased with their meal. Penne vodka with chicken was really good and the Thanksgiving dinner was a generous portion. Our waitress was a doll!

    Steak sandwich

Went here this past week for lunch, had the steak sandwich. It was delicious, highly recommend! And it's always great to have parking during this snowy winter.

Staff cars in handicapped spots for restaurant

Food at the wicked wolf is hit or miss sometimes it's good sometimes it's not. My main issue is that they allow staff to park in the only two handicap accessible spots behind the restaurant and don't really care that someone who's handicapped has nowhere to park . They told us we could park on the side of the road, which is very dangerous when you're trying to take out a wheelchair or mobility scooter with the traffic coming at you . It's a shame because it's not a bad restaurant. They just don't have any service skills and don't realize that they are actually breaking the law by not being ADA compliant and leaving the handicapped spots for patrons not employees that are able bodied.

Whether you come here on a Monday for Karaoke or after work to grab a seat at the bar, it's always a good time at Wicked Wolf. I know, it sounds like an ad but it isn't :) The drinks are great, bartenders are super nice, and overall great vibes. I've come here in the past for bridal showers and even a wedding. The food and desserts are perfection.

It made an otherwise somber occasion a little less sad. 2/28/26. We had a family memorial luncheon, originally reserved for 16 people, it soon became 20 people. Rory Dolan was very gracious and accommodating, rearranging tables to accommodate the group. We had a section in the upper dining area to ourselves. There's an extensive adult beverage menu, with of dozens of beers on tap and on ice, wines, and liquors. See photos. The food menu had the expected Irish fare; shepherds pie, salmon, corned beef, and cabbage, etc. There were some Italian inspired appetizers and mains, even Korean flavors. Everyone ordered whatever they wanted off the regular menu. Service was impeccable, the restaurant has an inviting ambience. I noticed there were a lot of "regulars" there this particular afternoon. It's still a pretty cool "watering hall". They have live music on the weekends and they also sponsor local event events.

I would definitely order this again. Can't wait to stop back in.

The food itself was decent, and we ended up ordering one of the brunch specials that included mimosas. Unfortunately, we were charged extra for refills even though the menu clearly stated there would be no additional charge. We didn't dispute it with the waitress or staff, but it was definitely disappointing to see reflected on the bill. Another downside was the woman behind the bar, who didn't come across as very welcoming. We noticed similar interactions with other patrons as well, which was a bit of a turnoff and affected While the setting was nice and the food was okay, nothing really stood out enough for us to want to return. Overall, it was an average experience.

I ordered mine, which you can choose how well it can be, medium with over-hard eggs which I also chose, and it came perfectly prepared with fresh lettuce, onions, and tomatoes along with bacon. Even before the main course, they start you off with a wonderful treat: a tray of bread and sweet raisin biscuits served with butter. Katie's Cottage is a very nice place to visit with a great atmosphere. I really liked the seating arrangement; they have a mix of comfortable padded seats and standard chairs, with larger tables that are very convenient for bigger families. They even have a bar area which adds to the variety of the space. The service was very nice and welcoming. As soon as we walked in, we were instantly served a tray of bread and sweet raisin biscuits with butter, which was a great touch! It is worth noting that the drinks and the food took a mediocre amount of time to come out, so it's a better spot for a relaxed meal. The menu is pretty short for breakfast, but the quality is high. I had the Breakfast Burger (ordered medium) with over-hard eggs, onions, lettuce, and tomatoes. The fries were excellent--perfectly seasoned and nice and crispy. However, be careful with the drink "offer." Although we were told it came with a free Bloody Mary or Mimosa, we ended up being charged for them on the bill even after asking about it. The bathrooms were okay, though they only had cold water when I visited. Overall, it's a pleasant spot, but just be sure to double-check your bill at the end!

I was deciding between the turkey salad and the Chicken Salad Ciabatta from the lunch specials and asked our server how the chicken salad was, She said it was her favorite and that it was a lot of people's go-to, so I decided to order that. Our food came out pretty quickly. We ordered the Heritage Nachos, Loaded Tater Tot Skillet, Philly Cheesesteak, and the Chicken Salad Ciabatta. The nachos weren't really for me (I didn't love the type of chips used), but the tots were good and my boyfriend liked his cheesesteak. I absolutely loved the chicken salad sandwich and fries. I get a little fixated on foods I like, so I had honestly been craving that sandwich ever since. 3/14 SECOND VISIT: I decided to come back on March 14 specifically hoping to order the chicken salad sandwich again. It was much busier due to St. Patrick's weekend,I was alone, I was seated in a booth in the back. I was given the dinner menu, so I asked the server about the chicken salad sandwich I had previously ordered. She didn't recognize the sandwich but offered to ask the kitchen after I showed her a photo and the menu from my previous visit. Unfortunately she came back and said they couldn't make it. She suggested a grilled chicken sandwich, but I declined since I'm not really a fan of grilled chicken. I ended up ordering the turkey sandwich and asked for a few modifications (no stuffing or cranberry mayo, just regular mayo on a ciabatta). When the food came out, I immediately knew it wasn't turkey. I waited until the server came back and asked her to confirm what meat was on the sandwich. She initially told me it was turkey. After taking it apart & having a few bites I knew it wasn't turkey. I winded up eating the fries and asking for the bill. I decided to show her the inside of the sandwich again and asked her to double check with the kitchen, she returned and confirmed it was actually ham, even though the ticket showed that she ordered turkey. She did offer to remake the sandwich, but it would have taken another 10-15 minutes and at that point I was already over it. I ended up just paying, and leaving. I completely understand that menus change and servers can't memorize every item. I just wish the sandwich had been confirmed with the kitchen sooner when I questioned it the first time. Overall, my first visit was great, and that chicken salad sandwich was honestly amazing. I just wish the second visit had gone a little smoother.

When we brought this up to our server, she claimed she wasn't aware of the offer, and we ended up paying full price for everything. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience, with very poor customer service.

Pop music, pops of black on the walls, TV screens behind and above the bar- so that almost every seat has a good view, a noticeable bar and those wood-slab walls. You know the look. The last time hubs and I were in this space was about 10 yrs ago, when it was Sammy's, so walking into Urban H. and getting hit with their urban-industrial-sports bar feel caught me a little off guard. No offense. Since hubs and I are getting settled into our other home in Westchester, dining out has been our friend. The young ladies here did well. From the moment we walked in until we headed out, everyone was pleasant, welcoming and attentive. We started with the calamari which was tender. Like really tender. Not a rubber band in sight. But where were the tentacles?! Those crispy little tangled things are half the reason hubs and I order calamari and sadly, there wasn't even one. Hubs went with a canned hard lemonade. It was refreshing but it was missing at least a little oomph especially if it's called "hard lemonade". My salmon dinner was beautifully prepared on parsnip puree with sautéed broccoli rabe and a pomegranate sauce. I totally get my dish was going for that savory/sweet mix- but that pomegranate sauce kind of sent my dinner slightly off keel for me. Hubs, loved his pork chop though with sautéed spinach and...white rice.¯\(ツ)/¯. We ordered the "mango" sorbet but it tasted more like lemon and it you had blindfolded me and asked me to tell you the flavor, mango would not have made my first guess. Honestly- Urban H. has more swagger than quiet, screens and a pop playlist that wants you to know it's there. But the service was super pleasant.
