a plate of food on a table

This little gem is awesome.. hot wings and a plantain special with Pico on top Neighborhood spot people and staff are very friendly.. Pool table and darts and a league at that.. it's actually still affordable...

What a great find. This place is an authentic hole in the wall/dive bar type place with a big crowd of friendly regulars, three dart boards in good condition (REAL darts, not plastic), a pool table, and surprisingly good wings which are only $0.50 on Sundays. There was a nice racially mixed crowd who all seemed to know one another. I came here with a friend yesterday not quite knowing what to expect, and was blown away by the inclusive attitude of the regulars. We had them singing along to Talking Heads and Outkast from the jukebox-and Todd (one of the owners) is a friendly guy. Overall great, modest, welcoming spot. If you like darts, or friendly people, definitely check this place out.

Solid, simple, basic bar drinks and bottled beers in uncomplicated setting. Kitchen open at various times.

Located near the Valhalla train station, from what I can see this was the old train station, along with a caboose they connected. It looks a of and authentic because it is old and authentic. My favorite is the bar, although my son doesn't let us sit there as he can't see the trains pass out the window. Service has been good every time I've been. Worth making a reservation if you're coming for a high traffic time (ie: Winter Wonderland) as they can pack out. In terms of food, it's basically a diner. I typically get a burger with fries and have done well that way. I typically get the Signature burger, which is solid and comes with a lot of frizzled onions. Chicken tenders, fries and all of the basics are good too. So are the drinks, with the beer menu being decent as well. That's not why you're here though: it's a family thing, and for that it's hard to do much better.

It hit the spot. My friend got the grilled cheese with crispy fries, which was equally satisfying and perfect. The staff is always friendly and nice and the food is always consistently delicious. We will be back soon!

My Almond encrusted salmon was perfectly prepared, wonderful portion, delicious champagne sauce. I asked for mash and green beans rather than rice and asparagus. Not a problem. The server was friendly, kept us in plenty of water and was very attentive. Baked stuffed clams were very good, a little peppery hot but that didn't stop me! For himself, the surf and turf, and the 8 oz filet was rare as requested, tender. Very fresh lobster tail. Very cozy inside as usual. Place was packed but not loud. Yes, the when many people are se the bar and it's one car per person, the lot fills up. I had to be creative with parking in their lot, but found a spot. The Cabin Restaurant food is delicious and fresh. Not overly fussy and trying too hard. Sometimes you want the standards people have enjoyed for decades. Here there is something for everyone to enjoy. If I want something laced with truffle oil, lobster foam, or sriracha, I know where to go. If you want reliable comfort classics done right, come here and be treated well. It's great when places you love stay as you remember and can rely.

Located right off the Sprain, it's in a good location and parking is decent. It looks how it sounds, both inside and out. Nice big bar, a pizza oven front and center, and of course the fireplace. Love all of the wood. Service was good however they were empty so perhaps grading on a curve there. I got the open faced steak sandwich. Pretty formidable portion with plenty of steak, however in hindsight I should've ordered it medium. Got it with bleu cheese and there was a crapton of it. Onions/mushrooms were good. No chance in hell of picking the thing up, yet very enjoyable. My son liked his chicken fingers, mostly just eating the fries as per tradition. My wife's pizza took awhile to come which was weird as they weren't bus and the pizza guy was standing around, however we went as they opened so perhaps they were waiting for the oven to heat up. We came for a post-hockey lesson lunch and this did the job well. My son generally prefers Valhalla Crossing nearby (trains, ya know) which has a similar vibe, however wouldn't mind inserting this oldie into the rotation once in awhile.
