    Not medium.

Food was ok. Asked for medium done. Burger came out well, see the picture. One waitress for the whole place so service was slow. No need to return.

While the menu includes the usual bar staples like burgers, sandwiches, salads, and beers, the quality is anything but typical. On top of that, they serve full entrées that could rival some of the so-called "higher-end" spots in the area--at much more reasonable prices. I've eaten here several times, and I was actually surprised to realize I hadn't written a review yet. There were three of us in for an early dinner today. Our waiter was friendly, and even though it's very much a neighborhood hangout, it's welcoming to newcomers--lots of smiles and a very warm, relaxed atmosphere. Now, onto the food: one of the specials was buffalo chicken empanadas--six in an order. The dough was flaky, and the filling had a good kick without being overly spicy, which I appreciated. They came with a blue cheese dressing that paired perfectly. I ordered the chicken cordon bleu, which came with mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes by default, but I swapped in potato salad--and I'm glad I did. The chicken was well-prepared, topped with a flavorful marsala sauce, and stuffed with ham and Swiss cheese. The potato salad was clearly homemade and really tasty, and the vegetables--broccoli and two kinds of zucchini--tasted like they'd been fire-roasted. So good. Mom ordered the Balboa wedge, which was generously packed with meat, and the chicken cutlet wrap with lettuce and tomato--another fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned dish. All sandwiches are offered as a wrap, Panini or a wedge. All of us ended up ordering the potato salad--it's made in-house and truly delicious. I ended up taking home a pasta dish with sausage, garlic, and oil for my husband, and he absolutely loved it.

To start, we shared the crispy brussel sprouts Charleston style. These were delicious with the tangy sauce and large flakes of parmesan cheese. For my main, I had the brunch wrap. It comes with chips, but I swapped for fries for an additional charge. The wrap was a good size; I had half and saved the rest for leftovers. It was tasty, but not a ton of flavor. The tater tots were nice and crispy and I enjoyed the fresh tomatoes and avocado. They gave me a huge portion of crinkle cut fries, which also would've been great with a little more seasoning, but they were good when dipped in mayo. My husband got the shrimp and grits and appreciated the large portion size as well. I had a lemonade to drink. It was refreshing since it wasn't overly sweet. Service was great. I look forward to trying the rest of the menu!

Aesthetically, each table feels like a meal at a family dinner table; it's clear that they wanted that vibe to be translated, and it's done quite well. This is also supported by the service being very friendly and helpful in general. To eat, I had the French toast burger with sweet potato fries. Some others with me had various sides like regular fries and tater tots, and the same thing was present on them that tends not to be at most places: they were all perfectly salted/seasoned. It might seem immaterial, but it's a very good signal when something that simple--yet often neglected in favor of just using condiments to mask it--is executed well. If you're a burger place with fries that taste great without the need for a sauce or condiment, you're doing something right. The French toast burger was likewise fantastic, combining sweet and savory in a great way. To drink, we all got a communal pitcher of the only frozie they had available at the time: a kind of jungle juice vodka slushie. It, too, was great--worthy of multiple rounds. All in all, here's a place that I can't wait to give another visit.

Ordered the Gael burger which is the mascot of the school, I assumed. It came with American cheese burger, sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onions & bacon. It was very decent, the mushrooms and caramelized onions paired everything beautifully. I got truffle fries instead of regular fries and it was totally worth it. I almost ate most of my fries before realizing I didn't touch my burger yet. Give Luis a raise cus he was running the whole floor and I counted atleast 4 other workers, one of them a tall blonde man who kept going in and out of the bathroom or back room the whole time. So while Luis is taking everyone's orders, checking in on the tables, and putting the orders into the system at the bar, I'm not sure what that other man was doing...I observed him just taking up space. So yeah big up to Luis on his work ethic! It was such a good time there as he came out with our cake to sing happy birthday to our guest! Drinks were good tho too. I do wish the tables and surfaces of this establishment were cleaner, however. We had sticky matter and spots on the table. Aside from that they have some nights where they do karaoke after 10pm so you'll definitely see any influx of students during that time here, btw.

They were nice and soft, but an order only came with three, which seemed a bit lacking. The parmesan cheese on the kale caesar salad gave it a nice, sharp bite. I also enjoyed the mac bites, especially with the tangy chipotle mayo. The spinach artichoke dip could've used a little more cheese, but had a satisfying, rich taste. Overall, great option for gastropub fare!

She always greets me with a smile, is friendly, accommodating, and makes sure my order is prepared the way I like it. I LOVE great customer service, and Julene consistently delivers it! The restaurant is always clean whenever I visit, and the bathroom is clean too! If I had to point out one thing that could be improved, it would definitely be the blue cheese. I usually end up using my own blue cheese at home because Wingstop's has a very thin, watery consistency. Blue cheese should be thick and creamy, especially when you're dipping wings and fries in it. A thicker, richer blue cheese would make the meal even better. Other than that, I have nothing but positive things to say about this location. Great wings, clean restaurant, and outstanding customer service. Julene, keep doing what you're doing -- it definitely does not go unnoticed!
