It comes with chips, but I swapped for fries for an additional charge. The wrap was a good size; I had half and saved the rest for leftovers. It was tasty, but not a ton of flavor. The tater tots were nice and crispy and I enjoyed the fresh tomatoes and avocado. They gave me a huge portion of crinkle cut fries, which also would've been great with a little more seasoning, but they were good when dipped in mayo. My husband got the shrimp and grits and appreciated the large portion size as well. I had a lemonade to drink. It was refreshing since it wasn't overly sweet. Service was great. Some others with me had various sides like regular fries and tater tots, and the same thing was present on them that tends not to be at most places: they were all perfectly salted/seasoned. It might seem immaterial, but it's a very good signal when something that simple--yet often neglected in favor of just using condiments to mask it--is executed well. If you're a burger place with fries that taste great without the need for a sauce or condiment, you're doing something right. The French toast burger was likewise fantastic, combining sweet and savory in a great way. To drink, we all got a communal pitcher of the only frozie they had available at the time: a kind of jungle juice vodka slushie. It, too, was great--worthy of multiple rounds. All in all, here's a place that I can't wait to give another visit.

Give Luis a raise cus he was running the whole floor and I counted atleast 4 other workers, one of them a tall blonde man who kept going in and out of the bathroom or back room the whole time. So while Luis is taking everyone's orders, checking in on the tables, and putting the orders into the system at the bar, I'm not sure what that other man was doing...I observed him just taking up space. So yeah big up to Luis on his work ethic! It was such a good time there as he came out with our cake to sing happy birthday to our guest! Drinks were good tho too. They were nice and soft, but an order only came with three, which seemed a bit lacking. The parmesan cheese on the kale caesar salad gave it a nice, sharp bite. I also enjoyed the mac bites, especially with the tangy chipotle mayo. The spinach artichoke dip could've used a little more cheese, but had a satisfying, rich taste. Lesson learned, don't let them pressure you into ordering food until drinks in hand or they add bar staff. Burgers were awesome as always, as are the fries. Another pet peeve: one diner is finished with their meal and they come to clear dishes while the other person is still eating. This was not necessary; there was no wait and the place was at least half empty. Haven't experienced this at Tavery before and hope this was a one time off afternoon. Your service experience shouldn't overshadow an otherwise good experience.

The restaurant is always clean whenever I visit, and the bathroom is clean too! If I had to point out one thing that could be improved, it would definitely be the blue cheese. I usually end up using my own blue cheese at home because Wingstop's has a very thin, watery consistency. Blue cheese should be thick and creamy, especially when you're dipping wings and fries in it. A thicker, richer blue cheese would make the meal even better. Other than that, I have nothing but positive things to say about this location. Westchester has a hard time keeping barbecue restaurants in business (Revenge, Whole Hog Cafe, Dickie's, etc) so I'm hoping to keep this one in business :) I'm in Riverdale and the closest thing we have to real barbecue is a local gastropub (BAH is great in a pinch), therefore I'm very happy that STG partnered with Toast to do deliveries. We've ordered a few times and aside from one bumpy experience we've been very happy with STG. The Brisket stands up to delivery and doesn't dry out, the pulled pork / ribs / pork belly are all winners, and the Chicken and the Chicken wings hold their own against the traditional stars of barbecue. Lastly their Cornbread isn't a dried out puck rather it's moist and fluffy. We're ordering about once a week at this point because it's so good.
