Was looking for a quick dinner on a cooler Saturday evening and was craving, well, hot dogs actually! My wife and I popped over to The Dog Den. First off - I love the outdoor seating. Despite being near the train station, it was surprisingly quiet. The service that we received was quick, and the food, delicious. I picked up the Scooby Doo and a side of crinkle cut fries. My wife got that mac and cheese, topped with pull pork. My hot dog was delicious - a chili cheese dog with nachos cheese, bacon bits, and jalapeños. Who can't love that. My wife's dish - very flavorful, but heavy (especially on an empty stomach). I'll definitely be returning to try some of the other dogs!

Loved this road side spot. Always in search of a good dog with a nice snap and they didn't disappoint. It was good and the bun was soft and not split. Got my dog within a minute or two. I would suggest studying the menu in the parking lot if this is your first time before going up to the window. There is lot of outdoor seating directly in front, across street and in front of parking spots. Nice sign with some history of the building as well.

I've been meaning to go to this restaurant for so many years! The kingdom hotdog was just what I expected - Delicious!!. The Bill Murray was not as seasoned i think the coleslaw watered down the flavor. The manager was friendly and accommodating, providing recommendations for the next time i visit. The only downside I would say is that the tater tots and lemonade were super expensive and they do not have different sizes that you can order. In addition, the hot dog buns were not closed on the bottom so everything fell right through. I had to hold it like a hamburger so that the contents wouldnt fall. I recommend coming for the unique hot dogs flavors specifically the Kingdom

I was having a craving for a Chicago Red Hot and went a bit out of my way for this amazingly adorable place. The hotdog's themselves are not my favorite, but the place is just total perfection. LOVED the Chicago RedHot, curly fries, and Mexican Coke. Super worth going out of my way for. The CRH came with a perfect poppyseed bun, and the chili dog came with an amazing pretzel bun. I was also spoiled that the weather was absolutely amazing and the place wasn't too busy. I will definitely 100% be back. The people working there were also really friendly and before I left, I grabbed a lemonade for my ride. Also great.

It's actually a really nice spot despite being on the highway and next to the train station. They made it feel really intimate and lovely over there. Service was good, nothing crazy, but very quick. The dog was delicious and stacked so high with toppings. The fries needed salt and I wish I asked for dipping sauce but overall a really good dog and fries. Highly recommend.

I am speechless. We missed our train back to Manhattan but as soon as we saw the Dog Den we knew we were already home. The staff felt like our family, the 'dogs like our culture, the scenery like nirvana. Not to mention the music bumpin. I will be taking the train to White Plains solely to eat the menu at Dog Den. Hot dogs: long and grilled Buns: soft and seeded Toppings: plentiful and fresh Tummy: full and happy

Superb condomints for dogs. However the dogs could have been larger for the price. A. fun different type if spot to hang out and eat.

I've been absolutely dying to try this place since I drove past it a few months ago. I was worried I wouldn't be able to this year as the temperature cooled down but I'm so glad I was able to try it because let me tell you, it was SO WORTH IT. They have so many delicious hot dog options to choose from, but I landed on the McDogden. It was essentially a Big Mac hot dog (no hamburger). Everything about it just worked, from the hot dog itself to the sesame seed bun, special sauce, and chopped onions. The curly fries and onion rings were also delicious, the curly fries were perfectly fried and seasoned. I was initially worried about the actual hot dog as I have a thing with hot dogs that "snap". If you also have this fear, rest assured, the weenies at The Dog Den do not snap!!

    Bill Murray and Swissy-Shroom

Great hotdogs ranging from about 5-8 dollars depending on the toppings. We got the Bill Murray and the Swissy-Shroom. The Bill Murray had a great balance of flavors. The cheddar cheese, the pickle/coleslaw, and the onions were a nice touch. Worth every dollar. The Swissy-Shroom was ok compared to its price. It felt a little heavy. It has Swiss cheese grilled mushrooms/onions on top with mayo. Probably could use less mayo... or add a spice element to the sauce. Or sauté the mushrooms and onions with some peppers, perhaps jalapeños. It just needed a little kick. We'll probably go back because overall the food was great, and we want to try some of the other items on the menu!

I'm giving the Dog Den 3.5-4 stars because the atmosphere is great. It's located near the White Plains train station and close to the Bronx River parkway trail should you need a bite (or reward meal) after a bike ride to the Kensico Dam. There are bike rails to park your bike and tons of games to entertain yourself with including corn hole. The menu is vast with an assortment of hot dogs to choose from, many of them very unique, just be prepared to get a little messy. I had the Guac Mash & my fiancé the Bernie Mac, you could always build your own or go plain. The tater tots were on point, crispy, tasty, and a little greasy. You definitely need a fork and knife to eat these or at least to eat all the yummies that fall out of your hot dog. The hot dogs are definitely pricier than your average hotdog but I guess that's due to all the extras added on these. I would definitely recommend locals and visitors to WP to check out. Great place to spend some time outside, enjoy a meal and drink, and play some games. Love the vibe for sure. They lost the 1-1.5 stars from me because the two teenagers working the front were not in the best of moods and then proceeded to take their break together and smoke one of those weed pens just a few feet from where we were eating totally disrupting our meal and made us inhale their smoke. So instead of tasting and smelling our food, we were smelling their smoke. I would recommend the management team give its staff down guidance on what's appropriate vs. not in front of patrons especially when eating. There was a family with a baby next to us too, not sure if they got a wiff of that also.

This is the type of cuisine you'll be satisfied after eating, a few bits and then later on during the day realizing that you're starving after a LONG ASS day of work. You'll come home and then suddenly remember OMG I still have my Dog Den leftovers! Let me tell you something, now I had recently visited this establishment went it first opened way way way back (I met the owner at that time) the SUPER TALL dude (forgive me I did forget his name). Fast forward to now I've watched this place EVOLE! From the interior and exterior this place became PART OF WHITE PLAINS, PART OF WESTCHESTER COUNTY. I was sooooooo grateful (the first day meeting the owner, he shared his passion and why he opened up this business..I believe it was him and his brother as well). But this is an establishment that continues to expand the "Westchester Cuisine Universe" or the "Westchester Restaurant Universe" really look at he details of The Dog Den! The owners poured his HEART into every single details from the menu, the art and MOST IMPORTANTLY the food. The reason I even came back to this Establishment was because I was simply doing my job! Delivering mail lmfao. I ordered the mac and cheese dish with beans, hot dog bits and caramelized onions... The manager had a beautiful energy we shared a few words, the cashier (whom is a aspiring entrepreneur) we shared a few words. The manager gave my water.. The vibe was and is just beautiful. Sure it's just a hot dog spot to you...but to me it's actually a fun CREATIVE, innovative whimsical dream that came to REALITY,it's motivation, it's a place where you will be satisfied you have leftovers.. Please support the locals!! Thank You.

It was an extremely hot day, so we were looking forward to ordering sangria. Unfortunately, even though it's listed on the menu, they weren't serving it, which was a little disappointing. The service and food, on the other hand, were quite a mixed bag. We ordered a margherita pizza, pancake tacos, steak and eggs, and French toast with a side of sausage--the pizza, at least, was good. However, the "French toast" was more like an anemic panini press trying to pass as French toast. The steak and eggs comprised of a fairly well-cooked (that is, it was the right temperature) yet underseasoned steak of a relatively dubious cut, underseasoned home fries, and eggs done wrong (sunny side instead of over easy). The lattermost was the start of the problem, as I was willing to give it a shot, but found the texture off-putting. In light of this, I brought the problem to our server Adalia, who brought it to her manager Elvia. Thankfully I had someone else with me to tell me what happened: Elvia came over without addressing me on their error, silently took a look at my plate and instructed Adalia to have the kitchen put the eggs back on the fire. She takes my plate to extract the eggs, and brings them back (unsurprisingly) completely overdone, first in Elvia's hands, then in Adalia's for her to serve; we send for a refire, and they come back correct 7 minutes or so after I've already finished eating. Considering the hassle it took to get them, I couldn't trust it enough to eat, leading them to waste as well. After all was said and done, the GM Amer comes over to see how things were, and was thankfully helpful and understanding of our situation. Here's the rub: I was initially willing to overlook the steak, the home fries, and even the eggs if the error was properly ameliorated. Adalia and Amer both did very well, and I'm grateful for them for that; Elvia, on the other hand, managed to break the chain of competent customer service by directing the server to handle the problem in a way that was set up for failure (if you mess up an egg, it's an immediate refire because of how the egg cooks in the first place -- Amer also arrested to that policy) all without addressing us and taking accountability, due to negligence or whatever else. Not only that, but when sending the incorrect eggs over the second time, she couldn't even bring it to us herself--it would have been easy, seeing as she was the one that originally had them--and left Adalia and her tip to potentially take the fire if the patrons happen to be angry. Mistakes are fine--everyone makes them--but I'd describe this as cowardly more than anything else, and I take issue with that in particular from a leadership standpoint. While Amer graciously extended an invitation for a better experience next time, I can't say I'll be taking him up on the offer when their service and food are this misaligned; unfortunately, a disappointment overall.

It's different in a good way, but I was expecting a bit more heat and punch. Still tasty, just on the milder side. More sweet than spicy, kind of sticky and tropical. Jalapeño Cilantro was a fresher, herb forward flavor with jalapeño heat and cilantro brightness.
