We've driven by this place dozens of times when going to the train station and I finally looked it up and saw it had a great rating so we decided to try it. After trying it, it lived up to the hype. They offer a large selection of hot dogs with different toppings and fun combinations. My husband and I both tried the Bernie Mac dog (I got mine with no bacon) and it was so delicious! The Mac and cheese complements the hot dog perfectly and stayed on the hot dog surprisingly well. The tots were also very good! My only complaint is that I wish they had some fun sauces for the tots/fries. We ordered pickup on door dash which was very convenient and ready on time but when we picked it up I did notice the prices were pretty different compared to the menu which isn't the restaurants fault, I'll just make sure to order in person next time. OMG why havent i been here before? I paaa by it so often and never really stopped by. Oh but finally I did and im Sooo happy I did. This is a great little spot with an impressive variety of options. They have plenty of outdoor sitting where you can relax take in the fresh air on your lunch break or enjoy a little tic tac toe game while digesting your delicious hot dog. Was looking for a quick dinner on a cooler Saturday evening and was craving, well, hot dogs actually! My wife and I popped over to The Dog Den. First off - I love the outdoor seating. Despite being near the train station, it was surprisingly quiet. The service that we received was quick, and the food, delicious. I picked up the Scooby Doo and a side of crinkle cut fries. My wife got that mac and cheese, topped with pull pork. My hot dog was delicious - a chili cheese dog with nachos cheese, bacon bits, and jalapeños. Who can't love that. I've been meaning to go to this restaurant for so many years! The kingdom hotdog was just what I expected - Delicious!!. The Bill Murray was not as seasoned i think the coleslaw watered down the flavor. The manager was friendly and accommodating, providing recommendations for the next time i visit. The only downside I would say is that the tater tots and lemonade were super expensive and they do not have different sizes that you can order. In addition, the hot dog buns were not closed on the bottom so everything fell right through. I had to hold it like a hamburger so that the contents wouldnt fall. I was having a craving for a Chicago Red Hot and went a bit out of my way for this amazingly adorable place. The hotdog's themselves are not my favorite, but the place is just total perfection. LOVED the Chicago RedHot, curly fries, and Mexican Coke. Super worth going out of my way for. The CRH came with a perfect poppyseed bun, and the chili dog came with an amazing pretzel bun. The cheddar cheese, the pickle/coleslaw, and the onions were a nice touch. Worth every dollar. The Swissy-Shroom was ok compared to its price. It felt a little heavy. It has Swiss cheese grilled mushrooms/onions on top with mayo. Probably could use less mayo... or add a spice element to the sauce. It's located near the White Plains train station and close to the Bronx River parkway trail should you need a bite (or reward meal) after a bike ride to the Kensico Dam. The menu is vast with an assortment of hot dogs to choose from, many of them very unique, just be prepared to get a little messy. I had the Guac Mash & my fiancé the Bernie Mac, you could always build your own or go plain. The tater tots were on point, crispy, tasty, and a little greasy. You definitely need a fork and knife to eat these or at least to eat all the yummies that fall out of your hot dog. The hot dogs are definitely pricier than your average hotdog but I guess that's due to all the extras added on these. I would definitely recommend locals and visitors to WP to check out. They lost the 1-1.5 stars from me because the two teenagers working the front were not in the best of moods and then proceeded to take their break together and smoke one of those weed pens just a few feet from where we were eating totally disrupting our meal and made us inhale their smoke. So instead of tasting and smelling our food, we were smelling their smoke. I'll be honest, I'm not much of a hot dog person - I used to eat them regularly when I was younger but lost my taste for them as I got older. Actually, I think in the past 10 years I've only had a hot dog once or twice. Anyway, one of my colleagues alerted me to Dog Den a while back, and after browsing their social media pages and seeing their selection I decided to make an effort to try them out. Due to a combination of my procrastination, COVID-19, and the fact that they're only open seasonally, I didn't make it until now. Better late than never though, right? Dog Den is kind of inconspicuous - located right by the White Plains Metro North, it sits at the corner of Main Street and Bronx Street right by the underpass leading to downtown White Plains. The entire structure is a small building with all of the seating outside (meaning they really didn't have to do any change to the seating because of the pandemic). From what I could gather, there's a small space inside to order but for now they were taking orders directly at the window. They really did it nice - a number of tables were set up and they had contemporary music playing to capture the mood. Even though there's currently an abbreviated menu due to the pandemic, there were a lot of dogs to choose from - separated by dogs wrapped in bacon and dogs without. It was hard to choose but I eventually went with the New Yorker which was topped with sauerkraut, red onion, and brown mustard. It was really good - kind of messy but that's expected. The flavors worked great together which was the most important thing. I also got a side of crinkle cut fries which were good as well - I thought $6 was a little high but you get a ton of fries so for that it's totally worth it. Customer service was awesome - the employee taking care of me noticed my Pride Apple Watch band and personalized my to-go bag with a rainbow heart! I think they personalize the bags for everyone which is a great touch. Overall, I was really impressed with Dog Den - while I don't eat hot dogs too often, the selection and customer service they provide will make them my go-to whenever I'm in the mood for one. read more

I've been meaning to visit forever. I think folks will say it's gimmicky but I loved it. Got there before closing. They were playing Depeche Mode only which made me relax more. Gentleman at the corner was friendly, helpful and professional. He made suggestions and we got the loaded fries and I got the Spicy Julius. It shouldn't have worked but it DOES. Don't remember what hubby got but he loved it. Also the dogs were still hot. I hate cold hot dogs. I really didn't care about the fries cause it was late. Starting with it's locale in an old bus depot tucked below the MNR White Plains station and the Bronx River it's outdoor seating only so sadly they have limited winter hours so check their website. Run by 2 very tall brothers (they tower over my 6'5" brother, no joke, lol) Dog Den has such a cool vibe. They're pumping out cool tunes in a fun atmosphere and serving up crazy good hotdogs, fries, and sides. Don't miss out on the arnold palmer (1/2 lemonade 1/2 iced tea). The menu is daunting, it's nearly impossible to decide which dog to pick (with fun names and combinations of toppings), or you can create your own or go naked. They use a good quality frankfurter, it's got snap and great flavor (I do believe they have a vegan dog!). Fickle Pickle - hotdog, fried pickles, bacon bits. Warm hotdog, crunchy texture of everything. Must have if you're also a texture eater. Sweet Mary - hotdog, wonderfully caramelized onions, choice of cheese (Monterey, cheddar, blue). I chose blue cheese (not my first pick, but I was feeling adventurous). And fig jam! Stopped by The Dog Den the other day for lunch and was so happy with our decision! I love hot dogs so I'm always excited when I get to have what I call 'fancy ones'. They have a lot of different topping options so I'm sure everyone can find something to try here! I ordered the Bernie Mac n cheese which had Mac n cheese and bacon on top of the hot dog. I also got the scooby-doo which had spicy chili, nacho cheese, onions, bacon, and jalapeños. Both were delicious! The hot dog itself was good and so were the toppings. There were so many toppings I had quite the mess to clean up afterwards. My bf got one of the cinco specials that was with chili, sour cream, pico, and crushed tortilla chips and it was also good! We got a side of fries and bottle of coke. This place is located right underneath the white plains metro north station. Overall we had a really nice lunch sitting outside and enjoying some yummy food with good weather. I'll definitely be back. And I just missed the cut on free food with the height chart! (see pic!).
