Chardonnay & Rose Prosecco
Te-see B.

Barbrix is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant tucked quietly off Hyperion Ave, in Los Feliz. As soon as you walk in you are transported to a small town in Oregon or maybe even a sleepy town on the coast...(a warm & cozy vibe) Snuggle up on a bar stool and sip a lovely glass of wine while you meet your fellow Barbrix patrons! Holly was our server and it was a pleasure getting to know her. She made an excellent choice for me: The Chardonnay from Italy. Holly will offer a sample before you can holler, "fill it up!" *Barbrix has started a trend with their weekly meal deals. Every night is a "featured dish," at a lower price. *Monday's are $5 Pizza night (which is my next venture here!) *Tuesday nights are Burger night ~ $10 for a burger w/fries. And so on.... We were here on Tuesday/Burger night which went perfectly with my happy hour glass of Chardonnay! $8 The regular menu is also available as well as the "Happy Hour Bar" menu. Dinner is served inside the restaurant area but we preferred the bar which wraps around the entire bar in a square shape. *Parking lot is very small so if you get here after 6pm I suggest finding street parking *Go on their website to find the "Daily Specials" *Only Wine, Sparkling Wine & Beer. *No mixed drinks

Was invited for late birthday celebration and totally enjoyed every single dish we ordered. Love the new menu and ambience.. food was so delicious that we inhaled it and forgot to take pictures. Highly recommend.

Came here as recommended by a friend. Loved the ambiance low key, not fussy, great wine selection. They let you pick a bottle from the shop shelves for $10 corkage fee. Great selection and not your typical wineries for $20-40 average range and pairs very well with the food. The patio is super cute and fairy light lit at night. Food was delicious balsamic on the duck confit *chefs kiss*. Under carriage on the pizza was perfectly cooked too. Octopus really well charred taste. Service was great, changed cutlery cleaned table between courses not sure what the deal is in the reviews here. Everyone who attended to us was welcoming, homey and timely. Could tell that there were regulars around the bar. Loving this local spot!

Grilled Branzino is SO good

This review definitely deserves an update as the restaurant has shifted since the pandemic from a great neighborhood restaurant to one of my favorite restaurants in all of LA, serving an updated menu for dinner only (no brunch anymore) while also being a wine shop that opens around 3pm during the day offering an expansive collection of great wines with knowledgeable and passionate staff that are there to guide you. The food always good before, but now it's EXCELLENT here, and the new menu offerings (especially the pizza) are top notch. I dine in all the time, as well as getting take-out quite a bit, and am always recognized by the management and greeted with a welcome smile. Below are some of my favorite dishes: Meatball Appetizer - 5 Stars. Seasoned perfectly, a great start to any meal. Arrancini - 5 Stars. Saffron rice balls, crisp texture on the outside, tender and light on the inside. Cracked Farrow Salad - 5 Stars. I'm obsessed with this salad! Autumn Farrow Salad - 4 1/2 Stars. A seasonal variation from the salad above. Diavlo Pizza - 4 1/2 Stars. Delicious pizza with a light crust, cooked perfectly in a wood fire oven. Fusilli Alla Vodka - 5 Stars. My favorite pasta here! Absolutely perfect, creamy and well balanced flavor with perfectly cooked fusilli pasta. Bucatini Cacio e Pepe - 4 1/2 Stars. Another delicious pasta dish, cooked a bit Al dente. Bonus tip, add extra parmesan. Rigatoni - 4 1/2 Stars. Cooked with a bolognese, this is another home run pasta! For great Italian food with great service, do yourself a favor and check out Barbrix.

My biggest red flag in a restaurant is when they don't tell you things are extra charge. I don't care if it's $.50 or five dollars I feel like it's right for the customer to know if there is a charge. It really is the principle of things. I ordered this pasta with my friend after an event, because we just wanted to light bite to eat. The pasta we ordered was super bland, and there was no flavor so I asked for a side of basil. The waiter did seem a little caught off guard, but he ended up bringing the basil. I probably will never be back here again because the food wasn't worth it. No the customer service. How disappointing.

Caesar Salad

A gem. Everybody knows your name. Recently married two people here so you know it is special. Come on in and see why. Enjoying $5 pizzas on Mondays and $10 cheeseburgers on Tuesdays. The branzino is terrific and one of my faves. Caesar salad adds a refreshing crunch. Save room for budino and tiramisu.

They only have a hose A/C in the corner that didn't do much to cool the place down. The food though was amazing! As 2 vegetarians and 1 vegan, we had never seen such an extensive plant based option with not only vegan cheeses but meat substitutes with protein! No wonder they have been ranked #1 for multiple years. The starter bread came in a brown bag and was soft and delicious, especially with the house pesto. You could really taste the basil but it didnt feel too oily. We got the calamari because none of us have ever seen a vegan one on a menu! It was breaded and fried and had a squishy center made of pea protein that I guess simulates the real one? It came with a marinara dipping sauce. I could obly have a few because they were fried and I felt like they were a bit too salty Next the pastas came out - the Pistachio pesto and the fusili with sausage. Both were delicious. The pesto sauce was the same one we had with the bread but the pasta had Pistachio chunks in it as well and generous amounts of pesto. The sausage was chewy and the sauce must've had either the same seasoning or chunks of it blended in because you could taste the same flavor in that as well! We had hopes of trying dessert but these 3 dishes were a perfect size for our party and we had been starving ourselves for most of the day for this (probably due to all the protein included in a usually carb only meal). The service was prompt, dishes came out quickly, and water was always filled. I am looking forward to returning to try all the other dishes!

Service was great, and the wine pairings complemented the meal really well. We started with the calamari and tuna crudo. Both were good, although the crudo could have used a little more brightness and acidity--some extra citrus or lemon would have really elevated it. For pasta, the gnocchi was great, but the Pappardelle Brasato was outstanding and easily one of the highlights of the meal. And then there was the tiramisu--absolutely outstanding. Honestly, one of the best tiramisus I've ever had. I would come back for that alone. Overall, the food was very good, with a couple of standout dishes rather than everything completely blowing us away. Beautiful ambience, attentive service, great wine, and a wonderfully quiet dining room. I'd definitely consider coming back--and the tiramisu is a must.

The front bar is bright and inviting, while the back lounge is dimly lit and romantic. There's plenty of seating both inside and outside, making it just as good for getting some work done as it is for lingering over a meal. The breakfast sandwich was outstanding and absolutely worth the $20. It came on a gluten-free focaccia bun with a fluffy soufflé-style egg, melted cheese, arugula and perfectly toasted bread, served piping hot. My espresso came the classic way with sparkling water and a slice of dried citrus, which was a nice touch. The staff was warm and friendly, and the whole experience felt thoughtfully curated without being pretentious. I'll definitely be back.

I am a huge proponent of humans coming together without technology - having conversation reading, playing cards, etc. But during the week and in the morning/day weekday hours, that's not really realistic. As I looked around, everyone there had a laptop and was working off their hotspot (assuming). So then you're just purposely making it harder for people to be the most comfortable in your space, vs listening to the demand. The tables are too high for the bench seating in the back and you feel like a baby at the table. I was appalled by the small breakfast burrito that was TWENTY DOLLARS. I want to love this place and I respectfully ask for them to reconsider some of this. We live in a world where people are looking for coffee shops to work in during the weekdays....that's the reality of the world we live in. And I think accommodating this would only benefit your business. The best coffee shops gain loyal fans! You can be more than one thing depending on the day/time!
