Jalapeno poppers
Brittany D.

The pickle shots were great and we love a tap seltzer but the food was mediocre to inedible. We ordered cheese bread and bacon jalapeño poppers (unbreaded ones! Iykyk). The bread was not great but was edible. The jalapeños, though. Completely raw and room temp. The peppers could not even have been heated. The cheese was a curdled consistency, room temperature, and lacked flavor --where was the goat cheese polenta?

Ordered food for takeout, we ordered the Black & Bleu burger and hickory burger with sweet potato fries, we also ordered the Mac & Cheese with garlic bread and for dessert their churro and ice cream. The food was delicious, burgers were cooked just right and looks to be a popular place, nice location and pleasant atmosphere inside. Will have to come and actually sit down and eat and have a drink the next time. Overall good experience and will definitely try this place again, nice that it's only down the street from where I have an apartment. If you're in the neighborhood and looking for something different this place is it.

Such a fun bar to stumble across. I'm a Halloween freak and so the soooky stuff is right up my alley. The decor, ambience, and music playing was all such a great vibe. The drinks were well priced and the cheese curds were DELICIOUS. We were also several drinks in at this point, but damn they hit the spot!

I ate here twice during a recent trip to Denver. I had the chicken fajita salad and the trail boss…read moreburger. The salad was good, not great. They use Napa cabbage as the base and it felt like they didn't dry it well after washing the lettuce. My salad was pretty wet. The burger was fantastic! The bacon was thick and perfectly cooked. I love goat cheese on a burger and the tomato marmalade added a nice tang. On my 2nd visit, my friend and I shared the Rocky Mountain Oysters appetizer because when you're in Colorado you have to have them! They're lightly breaded and fried, so they have a nice crunch. The horseradish dip is tasty! Service was excellent both visits! They kept my iced tea glass refilled and were quick with anything I needed. I also liked that their outdoor patio is on the 16th street mall, next to a street that's closed to cars, so you don't get a ton of car traffic and fumes. Instead you can people watch and enjoy the pretty sky art while you eat.

We came in on a Saturday for lunch and got dat immediately. We were able to order either from the…read morebrunch or lunch menu. My husband got a sour and the burger with goat cheese. He upgraded his side to the brussels sprouts. I got the peachy colada, a bbq pulled pork sandwich, and stuck with the fries. We shared the peach crumble for dessert. We were definitely stuffed by the end. The burger was good, but I am a sucker for goat cheese. The brussels were the right amount of cooked, but under seasoned. Had to add salt. The pulled pork sandwich was really good, especially with the texas toast it came on. My drink was good if you like sweet drinks (I do). The peach crumble was delicious and was perfect on a hot day (it comes with ice cream). It did come out fresh, so it was hot. It was pretty cool inside and the decor fit the theme. It made it feel like a nicer restaurant. We ate inside just since it was hot out, but they had the misters going in the patio. The service was just okay.

First time back in a while! Don't know why it's taken so long for me to come back but one thing I…read moreremembered was how GOOD the chicken and waffles were. The waffle is made with cheddar and cornbread and the chicken is so well seasoned! A little more batter than I personally like but it's still my go to order when we stop in. The staff is always so nice and hospitable when we come in, making sure to always check on us if we need anything and how our food is. I love the metal atmosphere and the music isn't too loud that you have to shout across the table the perfect volume for background music. If you haven't gone to The Brutal Poodle yet, what are you doing!

We stopped into the Brutal Poodle to grab a drink and maybe dessert. What an experience! First,…read morethey know their cocktails and can make just about anything you can imagine. Staff were great - attentive and friendly. And the metal music - you can't get this vibe anywhere. The music def takes center stage and you'll know immediately if Brutal Poodle is your scene. Either way, I loved finding a dive bar, with amazing food and being spotless. Score. For us, the food had us. We did opt for desserts and WHOA, were they amazing. This was such a surprise and a happy one at that. The gooey goodness of their bread pudding and their crazy take on oreo eggrolls (yes, please!) had both of us immediately planning on our next trip for their main courses. Noted, Brutal Poodle. We see you. We will be back.

Absolutely Exceptional…read more Jack's on Pearl exceeded every expectation. As Texas transplants, we've enjoyed some incredible steakhouses over the years and have traveled extensively, but this was truly one of the best dining experiences we've had. We even drove up from Colorado Springs for our 18th wedding anniversary, and it was worth every mile. We started with the wedge salad, which was fresh, crisp, and packed with flavor--easily one of the best wedge salads we've ever had. The warm bread service was incredible and paired perfectly with the house-made spreads. The mac and cheese was rich, creamy, and absolutely unforgettable. The highlight of the evening was the Wagyu steak topped with cheesy potato croquettes. It was cooked to perfection and so tender it practically melted in your mouth. Every bite was packed with incredible flavor and was one of those dishes you continue talking about long after the meal is over. What impressed us most was that every single item we ordered was exceptional. The quality of the ingredients, attention to detail, presentation, atmosphere, and service were all top-notch. After reading some of the reviews beforehand, we weren't sure what to expect. In our experience, this restaurant is incredibly underrated. Our meal, service, and overall experience were outstanding from start to finish. If you're looking for a special dinner, anniversary celebration, or simply one of the best meals you'll have in Colorado, Jack's on Pearl is absolutely worth the visit. We will definitely be back and will be recommending it to friends and family. Thank you to the entire team for making our 18th anniversary so memorable. -- Andrea & Sergio
