We frequent bar basic pretty often and really enjoy it. They have trivia Wednesday nights and a really impressive happy hour. All of the food has been amazing and the staff is sweet. The service can take a little bit longer, but it's usually because they are so busy. Highly recommend this spot - especially on trivia night!

Great Tex mec food with updated twists. Loved my grilled corn & romaine salad, also tasted the kale quesadilla which was out of this world! Service was friendly and prompt. Atmosphere was a casual bar and a few tables, some in the back outside. There is a opening to the street which gives the place an open, airy feel to it. On seventh Ave in Brooklyn near a lot of other area neighborhood stores. Convenient street parking.

Nice divey bar with great drinks and bar food. We came in before going out to a local escape room a few blocks away and weren't disappointed with the quality drinks and food. Highly recommend the burgers and the drinks. Service is great turn bar tender was friendly and recommended some great cocktails. The bar seating is limited but there are plenty of small tables and bench seating. Overall it's a great bar with nice atmosphere. The decor is a bit all over the place from winter decorations to mistletoes everywhere. Very cozy.

Very casual quaint spot with a nice asthetic. There is bar seating and tables (for singles and larger parties up to eight ). The service was slow, and there was a large gap (about 20mins) between getting bar drinks and ordering food. The restaurant was filled however, so the slow service could have been a sign of busyness. The Christmas drink options are original and full of flavor, I recommend the "Quintini". The food is great for sharing. The standouts were the wings with its complimentary sauce. The Mac and cheese would have been even better without the croutons. The "cheese pull" when it first comes out is nice. The chicken sandwich is made of dark meat and was average. I have had more seasoned and flavorful sandwiches.

Overall rating: 4.5 $7 margarita during happy hour. Sign me up! Very small spot that feels short staffed when I went during happy hour time. Oddly enough I saw someone working at the bar, but the odd part was there's literally no space. I like the deal, but I don't think I could come back solo. This is a spot you catch up with a friend on. Definitely want to come back again & try their food.

If you come here for anything come for the wings. The wings were one of the best I've had in Brooklyn. We ordered wings, fish tacos, the burger, nachos, and fish and chips. The wings were 10/10. The nachos were also really good 9/10. The burger was ok, not great, and the fries need work 7/10. The fish tacos were also ok, not great 6/10. The fish and chips were good, but the fries need work and that's half the dish 7/10. The fries weren't cooked well, tasted stale and unseasoned. Otherwise the fish and chips would've been an 8/10. There were a few things we tried to order and they either "didn't have", were "sold out", or "not available right now". So everything we ordered wasn't our first choice. The service was also not very good here. The food took longer than expected and the waitress was impossible to catch. The overall experience was good but not great. Not sure if I'd come back.

Bar Basic is the best I started going here over a year and half ago and it became my go to bar. The food and drinks are on point and the customer service is the best. Kayla was our bartender when we first started going there and now she's performs the last Tuesday of each month and I must say this young lady can sing!!!!! If you are in the Park Slope area check them out.

I came here years ago when it was a soft opening of a new Gnarly Eats location down from their main location (I written the soft opening review on the original Gnarly Eats review; it seem to be removed now). We had stumbled by chance and loved it. It was never on Yelp or on Google; so we weren't able to find it but knew it was around the neighborhood of Ramen Danbo & Banhmigos. It had cool artwork of Studio Ghilbi everywhere and awesome burgers. So, on 11/23 we decided to come and look for it as we really enjoyed this location. We yelped Banhmigos, parked and walked around looking. We found Bar Basic in the exact location and it still have some of the original artworks. It looked about the same layout but of course new decors. We were excited to try it anyways as it has burgers on the menu. I guess the soft opening failed and now Bar Basic took over. We ordered: Tater tots Fish & Chips jambalaya Very delish!~ Will come back again one day.

Immediately upon entering, one of the servers said it was standing room only by the door or by the stage. That was not a problem, but then she immediately proceeded to question our ability to provide patronage, asking if we had a card to validate us occupying the space. The vibe was off. After explaining to the owner/singer that we felt unwelcomed upon entering his establishment he said "right on" and it's busy on Saturdays. Long story short: music was a vibe, but customer service was severely lacking, and presumptuous.

The joint is packed and buzzing with a wall length bar, live music in the back. We're specifically here to see our dear friend, Frank LoCrasto and his way cool band XOTICA. They are fantastic and fabulous! LunÀtico was founded by musicians with an aim of combining sophisticated cocktails with a funky music scene, whilst encouraging patrons to support artists through donations. Here, one can enjoy a wide range of music, like jazz, rock, punk, house, calypso, reggae, folk, pop, indie, samba, etc. on a nightly basis. LunÀtico receives praise for its unique vibe, serving quality bespoke cocktails with some delicious tapas off the small menu. Please kindly observe my photos. + +Get your groove on! Crystal is the SUPERSTAR of the bar and handled taking orders for an event of 70+ people with as much swiftness and expertise that can be expected of a pro. My one thorn (out of this very beautiful rose) is that the event itself was understaffed. Many people weren't being served unless they ordered at the bar (and these were people with mobility issues). Also only 2 bartenders and 1 server bringing out food for people for an event that's 70+ is just a lot for staff to handle by themselves and can cause understandable frustrations. Even thought it took awhile to order, once food and drinks were inputted they came out pretty quickly. I had some of the buffalo chicken wings with fries and the wings were BOMB.COM! I also heard the burger was pretty good and I was able to get a bite of someone's pretzel which was super pillowy and warm. the Like I said, overall it was great time with a staff of people dedicated to making sure it stayed that way

We didn't eat it and they didn't take off the bill. Meanwhile charged us for soup dumplings which were $4 more than the chicken/corn. Either way, didn't eat them and didn't remove from bill. 2) their website clearly states happy hour ($6 pretzel, $7 beers) on Saturdays (see pic) and then when we get our bill pretzel was $9 and beers $11. 3) laziest wait staff ever. On their phone the whole time. My wife went 20 minutes without a drink and asked for silverware multiple times. She ended up giving up and going to another table to grab some and the waiter just nodded. Good beer selection (which is why we went), but holy cow, the wait staff is the single worst I've ever seen. This place was the winner, and it was everyone's first time. We got in at our reserved time, and we had to wait about 5 minutes before our table was ready. Once it was, we were taken care of and quite frankly had no idea what treat we were in for! Let's start with the drinks. They have a drink on the menu called Celadon City. Who won the staff as a pokémaniac?! I had to get it just for the name. The rice vodka, yuzu, melon liqueur, and other flavors made it a fantastic, summery drink. My friends got the Smooth Landing & Smooth Talker ... One was a fantastic dirty martini and the other had the best bite of ginger. The food... Oh my God. We decided to split the breads and spreads and burrata... Each came with their housemade grilled focaccia, and the smoked paprika hummus and ricotta with chili honey? WHEW! The burrata dish with the sweet potato, pesto and tomato jam was a hit too. The menu didn't even say I'd have a balsamic drizzle on top! All of that was just the warm up... My gnocchi dish was spectacular. I'm not even a big mushroom person, but those oyster mushrooms and charred kale were a hit in the pasta. My friends' gigli pasta and mussels were great too. We ended up sharing a bottle of white wine as well, and the dinner was truly a 5/5. 0 I would absolutely go back, and it seems like their menu changes every now and then. I'm looking forward to the next time! Even if it's just for a cocktail.

I chose this place because I had visited a few times in the past and expected a positive environment. While there, I ran into an old friend who was accompanying individuals with special needs. They informed us about the R&B karaoke event, and we attempted to participate respectfully and supportively. Unfortunately, after participating, the DJ became rude and dismissive. My friends decided not to continue because each time they attempted to request a song, the DJ was unkind and impatient, seemingly unaware--or unconcerned--that they were individuals with special needs. The situation escalated when I attempted to calmly address the disrespect. Instead of listening, the bartender repeatedly accused me of being drunk simply because I was defending myself after a rude comment. I was not intoxicated; I was advocating for respectful treatment. Even the DJ's own companion appeared visibly shocked by the comment made toward me, as if anticipating a reaction. I remained composed and professional despite being deeply upset. What disappointed me most was the staff's decision to defend the DJ's behavior rather than acknowledge how inappropriate and disrespectful the interaction was. This reflects poorly on how this establishment treats people--especially those who deserve patience, understanding, and dignity. I came expecting an enjoyable brunch experience and left feeling ashamed for having trusted this place. It is clear that the venue prioritizes protecting mediocre DJs with minimal local popularity over treating customers with basic respect. Poor organization, lack of proper event management, and unprofessional staff behavior made this experience unacceptable. I have visited many establishments and have never felt so disrespected. I will not be returning.
