Came here with some friends a few days ago looking to eat some banh mi, and this was the closest banh mi spot we could find. Coming in it was pretty empty, but it makes sense since this place is located away from the main roads in a secluded offices area. Service was fine, nothing special. All of us ordered banh mi, I got the banh mi with beef. It tasted okay, but doesn't taste as authentic as other places. They skimped out on a lot of ingredients, such as the house mayo and pickled vegetables (carrots and daikon). Also there wasn't any pate, but I guess this banh mi is adjusted to the taste of the business workers around here. It satisfied my craving for banh mi, but there is definitely better banh mi spots out there if you are willing to drive further out from that area. Probably won't be coming back.

The place is tucked away inside Canyon Business Park. There's ample parking and a good handful of people who come in. It is a nice place with good options and fair prices. In terms of flavor, I think that I've had more flavorful meals but I think this is a solid option if you're in the area and want some pho!

Lots of seating, pretty empty when I went. The bread is the smaller, thinner, less fluffy bánh mì kind. It's decent bánh mì. It kind of skimped on the mayo and pickled carrots. It would have been nice to be warmer or more toasted when it came out as well.

Love this restaurant. It's at a great location if your business is located near Canyon Park or the North Creek areas. The restaurant is across the street from the Lockheed Martin building. The restaurant is clean with the tables spaced out. The staff is very sweet with a very efficient system of getting your fabulous cuisine in a very timely manner. The Fresh Spring Rolls, Pho and Vermicelli are all delicious!!! I think we've been through most of the menu. Highly Recommended!!!

Ask the Community - Banh Mi Pho U!

Do you use msg in the meat marinade for Banh mi?

Hi. Only the pork and beef Banh mi's have some Msg in the marinade.

Does your chicken pho contain any fish sauce? I have a shellfish allergy and can not have that!

Hello. All our Pho broth does NOTcontain fish sauce. Hope That answers your question.

Hello. For gluten-free you mentioned that you have vermicelli bowls. Are the meats marinated in any gluten containing ingredients like soy sauce or hoisin etc? Thank you!

Hi Wendy, thank you for your inquiry. Our meats for the vermicelli bowls are marinated in soy sauce, some hoisin, etc. for taste as they are some of the main ingredients. The gluten-free option is the Pho since the broth contains no gluten… Read more

Hi, do you put msg in your pho? I'm allergic.

Hi, thanks for the question. Yes we do put some MSG in our pho broth as it's one of the key ingredients. It's possible that other Pho places don't put in MSG, but one should be extra careful to double triple check if you're allergic.

Hello! I have a soy and nut allergy. Do you have any meat dishes that are not marinated in soy sauce?

Hi. The items that do not have soy are the Pho and chicken banh mi. All other items including the vermicelli and rice dishes the meats are marinated in soy sauce. Hope that answers your question.

What else on the menu is gluten free besides the pho?

Hi Catherine, for gluten-free we have vermicelli bowls, rice dish, and spring rolls (vegetarian also) if you dip with fish sauce in lieu of peanut sauce. Hope this helps. Thanks for asking.

    Is the Pho gluten-free?

    Hi yes it's gluten-free.

When we had left just a few minutes shy of 12pm, the restaurant was full and there were a few parties waiting outside. The staff were very attentive and would immediately replenish our radish if we were low. The jjamppong and jjajangmyeon tasted fine, if anything the jjajangmyeon was a little sweet. The fried rice however (without the jjajang sauce) was pretty bland and a bit dry. I don't know if it's intentional because they give the sauce on the side but I'd like to have the rice taste good without the assistance of the sauce. Other than the bland and dry rice, my only other nitpick would be that the jjajangmyeon came out a lot later than the other dishes. Otherwise we paid around $117 (without tip), for five dishes and two appetizers, which I think is pretty good for this area.

I was expecting a noodle forward Korean place but it's a Chinese Korean fusion place. I struggle with fusion food.... The place was not busy on a Wednesday night and seated immediately with very quick and kind service throughout with very nice ladies! A little plate of pickled Daikon was immediate and oddly refilled before gone. No ban Chan here though which disappointed me! I can live on the little Korean pickled snacks! Menu is QR code. Very clean restaurant with ample parking. We ordered the beef and noodle soup and they were great at backing out the other seafood for me beyond prawns. We also got the pork cooked in a sauce with rice and a fried egg on top. Food came quite fast. The noodle dish was good but sort of spicy and very gochujang heavy. But I liked the broth. It didn't like me the next day. It was essentially a stir fried beef prawns and vegetables in a Kimchee soup style with basically large spaghetti noodles. I'm pretty sure most of this came from the chef store next door. Not fresh or unique noodles. I would order this again if I went there. The pork dish was really a very sweet gloppy mess with a nice mound of rice topped with a fried egg. We didn't eat much of this and took it home. Maybe my wife will eat the leftovers?? Overall I am generous here with 4 stars, mostly for service, and we are on the fence over returning again. Decent food but just not our "jamb". Ultimately we ate the leftover spaghetti soup (I felt ill after) but threw out most of the gloppy sweet pork dish and rice packed in a cardboard box that dried out! If you like the different home cooked Korean dishes instead of KBBQ you may like this place.

My friend and I tried the spicy XLB, the chili oil spill dumplings, the mala beef shank dry noodle, and the beef rib noodle soup. Everything was wonderful and exceptionally flavored (especially the two dumplings), except... the beef rib noodle soup that fell pretty short. The rib was much less meat than the shank bowl, and was much smaller/shorter of a rib than shown in the advertised photos which is always a disappointment. It was cooked really nicely tender though, so again sad because it was only a few small bites (and the rib costs $8 more than the shank). The soup was also really lacking in flavor - we both thought it was super bland/watery tasting. Wouldn't rec (unless it's a one off)- just surprising that the other dishes were so flavorful except this one. Also highly rec the fruit sodas (i.e. green grape, passion) because they were delish! They were the perfect amount of sweetness (aka not too sweet).

Their dessert options (mainly dessert XLB) are amazing though, so I honestly wouldn't mind coming here after a meal either. Service isn't nothing to write home about, order via QR at the table and they'll bring food. Not much interaction. Ample parking in the plaza. There's a decent amount of seating but it can get full, so budget time for a wait just in case. Noodles - I love biang biang noodles so may be judgy but these were slightly too hard rather than QQ or chewy. Not bad, but would prefer a bouncier texture than firm. Meat and sauce was tasty, but the beef was a bit inconsistent. Some pieces were tender while others a bit rough. Would've loved a little more protein, but interested in the beef rib option in the future. Pan Fried Dumplings - these were just worse xiaolongbao. They're barely pan fried and then they just stick to the paper in the basket. This also means they run pretty easily. Would stick to ordering XLB. They also don't provide spoons which would be nice for all XLB soup. Taro XLB - star of the show! Definitely snag one of the dessert XLB if not more. They also have red bean and chocolate. Fully filled with a sweet, smooth, and nutty taro paste. These are plentiful and delicious.

Squid Deopbap: This dish was also fantastic. It came with a great sauce and a generous amount of squid. All mixed together, it was a very rich and satisfying bowl. Overall, Korea House is one of the best Korean restaurants I've tried in the Seattle area. Their portion sizes are very generous.

I'd love a version with some meat but I can appreciate being vegetarian friendly. Pan Fried Pork Bao - sadly no soup in this pan fried bao. I think there was too much bread because everything was very doughy while the actual pork was tiny in comparison. If there was more meat then maybe the extra large dough would be okay. On the bright side I guess this is a filling item with the carbs. Xiaolongbao - Unfortunately, 2 out of 8 XLB were ripped and the soup spilled in the steamer.
