Let me start off by prefacing that I came from San Jose, home to some of the best Vietnamese food and sandwiches ever. After reading all the heinous negative reviews, i have to wholeheartedly disagree with the majority. The bread was fresh and steaming, and had the perfect crunch, while the mountain of meat and fresh veggies complimented every single bite. Their OMG sandwhich had everything i was craving, from a generous amount of spread, lots of pickled daikon/carrot to balance out those flavors, not to mention an enormous amounts of meat and fresh herbs to compliment every single bite bite. The service was great he was very friendly, service was quick and the decoration of the restaurant was really nice! Very clean restaurant too! I got the combination banh mi and it was really delicious, the bread was nicely toasted and crunchy but not to the point where it cuts up your mouth trying to eat it lol it was nice and fluffy on the inside. My husband and I wanted to try a new banh mi place and we came across Banh Mi Licious! The restaurant is really clean inside and the staff are a little quiet/shy but polite. My husband got a Combo Banh Mi/Sandwich which was really delicious and refreshing. I got a Strawberry Refresher with 50% sweetness and 50% ice. It was good but it did have an artificial-strawberry taste to it. Although it wasn't my favorite, I would still like to try their other refreshers. The man at the register answered all our questions and even gave us good food suggestions. The waitress was seat and attentive. The food overall I would say is 3/5. We got the special Banh Mi, Steak pho, and two drinks. The bread of the Banh Mi was soft and crispy but the sandwich was kind of bland. The pho was on the sweeter side so the flavor threw me off a bit. The drinks were good! We got a peach refresher and the Vietnamese coffee. Was around the area, decided to give this place a try. We ordered grilled pork vermicelli, pork chop rice plate, and a grilled pork banh mi to go. We were greeted immediately as we got in, the owner was very warm and welcoming. If you don't know what to try OR it's your first time trying Vietnamese food, definitely ask for some recommendations! We ordered one Bánh Mì Thịt Nướng (Grilled Pork Sandwich), one Phở Tái Chín (Special Combination Pho) and one Bún Thịt Nướng Nem Nướng (Vermicelli Grilled Pork). Absolutely phenomenal! Had a late lunch with my family of 4 (2adults/2 kids). We arrived just before 3pm. It's our first time here. I've been to this location and saw this restaurant about few months ago and added it to our "new places to try" collection. Wasn't quite sure how they operated. There was someone ordering ahead of us so we waited until he finished. Once it was our turn, we told the gentleman working at the front that we were planning to dine in and asked if we should order before we sit, we said yes. There is a 3% credit card fee. Our order: S3-Vermicelli, GRILLED Pork, and Grilled Pork sausage, Banh mi combination sandwich, P2- Sizzling steak pho and R5 Shrimp fried rice. Our first order arrived at our table 15mins after ordering then a few mins later they all trickled in one by one. So I'm actually quite disappointed writing this review after seeing an average of 4 star rates. First off the pho bowl is only one size, I don't eat much but the bowl was on the smaller side honestly doesn't match the price, though I do understand inflation etc... the broth was good. The sizzling steak was on the side covered with a ton of onions I've never see that before (my husband is Viet and said that that's how they do it in Vietnam). The steak was so chewy I almost felt like I was going to choke it was so hard to chew it apart I was eating the pieces whole after attempting to thoroughly chew it. The banh mi was okay, not a whole lot of flavor the baguette was on the hard side. The shrimp fried rice... was the biggest disappointment. We normally order the fried rice for our kids but although the dish looked like it had so much flavor it was so bland! We took 3 small bites between my husband and I. Literally all over the dish, the outer side, inside, the middle etc trying really hard to see if we could taste any garlic/onion powder, or soy sauce, salt or anything really but it tasted like nothing for a $15 dish! So we're not the type to complain about dishes when we go out normally we would just eat what we can since we already paid for it but this dish was so bland we felt the need to address it. My husband ended up going back and letting him know that we didn't want this because it had no flavor. The gentleman who took our order came back to our table and apologized. He even offered to replace the dish with their Banh Mi-licious Fried Rice which cost a $1 more. I asked if they used the same seasoning for that dish, if so we didn't want it and there was no point to making a new dish if it was the same seasonings but I never really got an answer instead, he offered us a refund. Overall, the staff was nice although we did have to ask for some utensils at one point and remind them of the waters that we had requested during the time we ordered. The food was definitely not what we expected and the flavors just wasn't there. Glad to have tired but probably won't be returning. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. read more

They're all nicely stuffed with/both meat & veg (only roast pork was a little light on meat). The veg is pickled but not sweetened. This place is a hidden gem. Because it just opened not too long ago, not many people know about it. But the food is amazing and gives home vibes. The owner is super nice and makes fantastic Bahn Mi. The Bahn Mi is PERFECT. The portion size for the meats and vegetables is good. The Bread isn't hard or cuts you up while you eat it, but it's not soggy or thick, if you know what I mean. It has a good combination of Crunchy and Soft. Very satisfying to bite into. Pho is really good, too. I will come here to eat on rainy days or if I'm feeling down. They also do a variety of drinks. My go-to is their Vietnamese iced coffee. Compared to other places, this one hits different, and I love it. I wish they opened a little earlier in the mornings so I could have their drink before work lol. Their place is really clean and well-kept. I can tell they put time and effort into keeping the place clean. I love the semi-modern design with the soft lights, but still old-style vibes. I noticed that all the tables and booths could only accommodate up to 4 persons, so if you have a party of 5 or more, you'll have to sit separately. Food: + Soup: we tried their beef stew soup with a piece of bread. The soup tasted good. It had pieces of beef, tendons, and carrots. The meat was tender. - Sandwiches tasted okay. - Bread (for beef stew soup or used for sandwiches) tasted as it should, but was cold. We're so used to other bahn mi places serving us sandwiches with warm/toasted bread that we were surprised they did not do it here. Service: + Staff took my order correctly. + Greeted us and took care of us immediately. + Wait time was decent. There were 2 tables with patrons in addition to ours. - There is a 3% charge for paying with a credit card. - They brought us the food, but we had to ask for everything else: napkins, utensils (some of us had soup) - No one checked on us or refilled our water. I have gone to culinary school to know a thing or two about baking bread, and if I'm correct seems like the bread was baked then frozen and or was just left out. I really want to give this place 4 stars, but it just missed the mark. My daughter and I have been wanting to try this place out since they opened so we finally had the time to. The meat to bread ratio could use a bit of work. I felt there was more bread. And although I love pate, mine had a bit too much that it was oozing out after each bite. First couple of bites were great- but then it became overwhelming alongside the butter and unfortunately left my insides feeling...greasy? Lol! I had to keep wiping the excess off. My daughter said hers was mushy. She was disappointed the meat was so greasy and wished they used a paper towel or something to get the excess oil off before putting the sandwich together. We both ended up finishing our sandwiches since we were hungry. I don't think we'd go back for their bahn mi but you could see the love the owners put into that place. Finally got the chance to try this, it's close to my house so that is a plus. No complaints about the food, everything was fresh and satisfying. Seating was comfortable and restaurant had a nice atmosphere to it. Owner came out to chat with us and see how everything was. I like the fact they bake the bread fresh and it shows. This place looses a full star for the 3% cc fee, l find it very petty and it's offputting.
