I've made this my go to place for the pork belly and bbq ribs, very consistent with the flavors, I specially like that the pork belly doesn't have that swiney stench that other places have when they cook that cut of meat. I tried the steamed pampano, super delicious full of herbs but too spicy for me lol, but I do recommend this place, it won't disappoint.

Wow I was highly impressed with their food! The person working the front was super kind and friendly. Please is still under the works since she said they just opened for about a week now. It's a little small cozy dining area, a couple small tables and chairs plus tv. Their menu is pretty simple, just your typical Asian meals like rice and meat plates such as chicken, sausages and pork belly. Some other items you can't usually find like stuffed chicken wings and bbq sticks. I ordered their pork belly plate , comes with purple sticky rice and jel which is a pepper dipping sauce. Also tried their bbq sticks and stuffed chicken wings. I really enjoyed each item. Literally tasted like Home, a meal I would whip up. The sauce was delicious I had my bf go back in to get 2 more lol. The pork belly was juicy and crispy. The stuffed chicken wings were good, the filling did taste like eggroll stuffing i wish it was more herbaceous but overall still good. The bbq stick was yummy you can taste the lemon grass. I would definitely stop By again to grab the pork belly plate and extra sauce!

I was craving some Asian food. Specifically something with Jale (spicy Asian dipping sauce).. it was early in the morning and this place was open and on my bookmarks so I decided to give it a try. My sis had reviewed this not long ago and mentioned it was like a home cooked meal. I can definitely agree on that after finally tasting what I ordered. I went with the pork belly. It came with sticky rice and jale. Pork belly was juicy where the meat was and crunchy on the skin. It was delicious. Big chunks of it too. The menu/pic is a little misleading tho cus it says it comes with purple sticky rice but instead I got white sticky rice. Still tasted good tho. The jale is really good! It's not like the sweet spicy one u kno u get with the chicken and rice plates at other places. I like this one better. I ended up grabbing an extra one for $1 n it comes in a small container. I also grabbed a steamed pompano and that was stuffed with a spicy herbaceous spread. This is something I grew up with but my mom always did whole tilapia. And the spicy spread is a lot more spicier and taste different. Don't get me wrong cus theirs was also tasty tho. U get a whole pompano. Just watch out for the bones! The customer service was great. But the guy did seemed shy when I ordered lol. (First date kinda nervous vibes lol).. maybe cus he's just new at it but it's alright cus they him and lady was nice. Greeted upon arrival and left with thank u and good byes. I would like to come back to try their sausage and rice next time when I'm feeling for a simple hot to go plate.

Was sad the last place that was here didn't make it, they had very good food. This place has a completely different menu but is very tasty. Simple offerings at fair prices and great smoothies. Love their eggplant based spicy sauce. Always pay for extra, goes great with everything. Will continue to coming back.

    Beef pad Thai

Great small place, the pad Thai was so flavorful, and the chicken and rice was good, don't forget to ask for the hot sauce

    The pork and rice

Amazing service the man at the front was super kind and the food was soooo yummy I love it so much I would eat this everyday! Also, the place itself felt really comforting.

It took even longer to get our food. NOT ONCE did we get checked on after getting anything. Not even a refill for my husbands soda. And mind you, our server passed by our table so many times and his empty cup was by the end of the table in plain view as well. We ordered shrimp dumplings, pork and cabbage dumplings, spring rolls and spicy chicken. The spring rolls were small one one came burnt. No big deal. The chicken was tasty. The pork dumplings were good. I never got the shrimp dumplings. She brought the check and I told her we never got them and she asked if we got them and I had to motion to the table and tell her, no they never came. She took it off the bill. Overall I was pretty disappointed in the service more than anything. I really had high hopes for this place.

Whether you're craving sushi, teriyaki, or ramen, they really have something for everyone. The sushi and sashimi are incredibly fresh -- honestly some of the freshest fish we've had at any sushi restaurant. It tastes like the chef went out and caught it that morning. The 14-piece sashimi platter with a couple of rolls was more than enough for two people, and everything was excellent quality. The ramen is also fantastic, but fair warning: the bowls are HUGE, so definitely come hungry. Their garlic edamame is absolutely addictive, and we really enjoyed the poke in the seaweed poke salad, though the dish does lean very heavily on the seaweed, so just keep that in mind before ordering. Cassidy is new to the restaurant and waited on us. an Shewas wonderful -- super friendly, attentive, patient, and just genuinely great service all around. The only downside was the new menu design. The font is extremely tiny, printed on a small laminated sheet, and honestly very difficult to read. Hopefully they make the text larger in the future because the food itself is outstanding. Overall, highly recommend Shobu if you're looking for fresh sushi, excellent sashimi, hearty ramen, and great service.

The moment we walked in and sat down to our table, we did't feel welcomed. Our server was very short with us and seemed annoyed. Initially, they were pushy on having us order assuming we have been there before. It was our first time and we didn't even get a chance to look at the menu yet as we just sat down. Throughout the service, our server never offered us water or came to check up on us. It was an off vibe like they were having a bad day and it resonated to us. The food was a big letdown. We ordered the agedashi tofu, earthquake roll, big boy, fireball roll, and a sashimi appetizer. Each item we ordered had an issue. The agedashi tofu was super bland and the broth didn't pair well with it. I've had this dish several times at other locations and this wasn't up to par. The rolls were drowning in sauce and ruined their texture. The rice was also overcooked and very soggy. Soggy rice drowning in sauce is not a good combination. Lastly, the sashimi appetizer was served lukewarm. Each piece of fish had a mushy texture instead of being firm, and it didn't taste fresh. Perhaps serving them on top of ice to keep it cold would help. Plus, the miso soup was very salty. Overall, it was a very disappointing first visit, and unfortunately, I don't see myself coming back.

The menu presented extensive and adventurous options that as first timers could have been intimidating but with the help of Donavin our delightful server, we selected the perfect seafood salad for the Mrs. and the curated selection of Maki (delicious sushi "tacos") that together made for the perfect share. Add to that a smooth Japanese beer and a surprisingly moderate overcast that made our dinner on the patio the perfect way to celebrate our first meeting 47 years ago. There were so many other tempting menu options that we'll look forward to sampling on our next for sure visit. We are always immediately seated and offered drinks within the first few minutes upon entering. Throughout the meal, we weren't checked on. I wish they would put water pitchers on the table for the customers so we wouldn't have to always ask for a water refill. Unfortunately, there have been times where my family and I have gone but it's so busy and we never got refills for waters. Ambiance: Great, cozy, warm atmosphere. They have large flat screen tvs that usually play compilation videos on them. I wish they synced the tvs up to play kdramas or kpop on them instead. Every time I've gone, the tvs are usually turned off or playing funny/meme compilations from YouTube. I think many of their customers would enjoy a Korean show while eating Korean food! Maybe even play some mukbangs, as many young people nowadays enjoy watching those! My family and I are regulars, and we will always be back to support our favorite local Korean restaurant!
