Really good bahn mi! Super affordable. Great service. The bread was really crisp and it was stuffed with fresh good ingredients. A+++ solved me from my hangriness

This is supposed to be black coffee.

Decided to try a banh mi sandwich shop closer to my job. Instead of traveling all the way to Grand St. Well tried the Char Sui banh mi. The banh mi would definitely get 4 stars. Plenty of char sui thru out sandwich. Bread was soft not crunchy or baked. Could overlook that small discrepancy. But also had an iced coffee black. Service was friendly even tho I had banh mi to go. Let me tell you. That had to be the worst coffee I have ever received at a Vietnamese restaurant. Come on it was brown. (See pic) When I say black coffee I expect it to be dark as the night. This coffee was watered down. Literally had to throw it out. Sorry I didn't travel to Grand St. Pass

$11.50 banh mi! Tasty but didn't blow me away. I would say that there is better in Manhattan but solid if you're in the area.

Just happened to stumble upon this place and it was a pleasant surprise. A small place with a Mom & Pop feel, but with a variety of dishes and drinks offered. I enjoyed all the dishes we ordered; Lemongrass Pork Vermicelli, Summer Rolls, Brisket Pho, and Ma La Sauce Noodles and the prices were very reasonable. Everyone was friendly and the service was good. Definitely would come back again.

Decided to try this new space out. It's conveniently located across from Columbus Park. It wasn't crowded when I came in, but there is spacious seating. Easy to order. Staff are welcoming & don't bother you after taking your order. Tried the special bowl & the garlic parm fries. Bowl is smaller then usual pho bowls, but I liked that the soap was flavorful. Brisket is cooked well. Not chewy or red. Fries were not overpowering with parm flavor. I saw a lot of people ordering the drinks, but I didn't try. Good place with variety of options to give a try.

***3.5 *** Came for the grand opening 20% discount until 4/30/26 but when i asked about it, the lady said they didnt do it anymore (it was 1st week of april). It made sense because the current menus i saw had the restaurant logo sticker on covering the 20%. She did hand me some menus without the 20% discount covered and told me to use them as coupons the next time I came. Sandwiches are 11.50 but I opted for the signature sandwich combo which was an additional $4 more for an option of spring roll 2 pc or house chips and thai tea/soda/or milk tea. Combo total is $15.50 pre tax The sandwich was small (placed next to water bottle for reference). There wasnt that much filling but there was alot of carrots that were not that pickled. The thai tea was premixed with sweetness (like 75% sweet). The spring rolls were not viet spring rolls and had no meat. That too was disappointing. It is close to the park, but it is not something I would go back foam not sure i will come back. The quality and price were not worth it for me

A drop in to try this new place across from Columbus Park on Mulberry Street in Chinatown. We found the ordering process to be straightforward, pay up front, and the food is served to you as you are seated at one of the tables. I spoke to the owner, and they have been open for about three weeks. The pricing is very reasonable, so if you are looking for a spot to eat, this place offers good food for those looking for value. My beef bulgogi on a salad was fresh, with pickled shredded carrots, cucumber, lettuce with cilantro. Came with a light dressing on the side.

New Vietnamese concept with a selection of banh mis, pho, bun (vermicelli bowls), plus some Cantonese noodle dishes as well. Also have a wide selection of cafe drinks like Vietnamese egg coffee and Thai tea. Clean, bright, pleasant interior. The food is solid although I don't like think they do anything better than restaurants nearby that specialize in these items (Banh Min Co Ut, Pasteur or TenTen for pho, dozens of options for Cantonese). They also just opened so may have some operational growing pains. We ordered to eat in, but were given a to-go bag. That's too bad, my pic of the food would have looked better in porcelain bowls than plastic. May give them a month to work out the kinks and try again.

Idk if i'll ever think abt this meal again but it was perfectly great. The tofu in the banh mi cld be a little more flavored. The viet coffee is fantastic unfortunately i got literally no sleep that night. This day we were in chinatown, i went to a Ai slop museum with olive and Meg then made bastardized pad see ew w rice roll "noodles" for sunday supper w aisha and christine. It was rainy and drizzly and i went to the noho pure gym for the second sunday in a row. Love living in new yawk

Fresh Food, Fresh interior stellar counter service. I found this cafe as a breath of fresh air. The variety of options is varied but not overwhelming. This will probably be a favorite of ours during our monthly forays into the Chinatown district.

Ordered the lemongrass chicken banh mi and my friend got the lemongrass pork banh mi. Was very delicious. Really a hidden gem due to the location. Highly recommend.

Trying the noodle soup today at this new restaurant. Overall it is average. I like the Vietnamese ice coffee. Likely the sandwich is better it looks very crispy and full of vegetables

The food always arrives hot, is always well packaged and tasty. My personal go to is the SHAKING BEEF Bo Luc Lac Stir fried Angus steak cube) bun. It is served Served w. Side Salad & Nuoc Cham: (Romaine, Cucumber, Pickled Mustard, Grape Tomatoes, Carrots & Daikon). I appreciate the choice of Vermicelli rice noodle, Thai Jasmine rice or Solely Salad. I always choose rice and the packaging is amazing, the beef is kept seperate from the rice and arrives hot and aromatic. My mom also loves this dish but ordered it with the solely salad and opts for double veggies. We have also tried several of the bahn mini including the lemongrass chicken, the brisket and the braised short rib. All are tasty. I do recommend adding the dip for $1 as it really takes it to the next level! I ordered the lychee iced tea sweetened today. It was sweet but not too sweet which I appreciated and as with everything from 5ive spice very thoughtfully packaged in a way that there is no leaking in transit. 5ive spice has some great all day and happy hour specials, I look forward to trying their food in person when I am in the area. Customer service: One time, on a particularly busy weekend in NYC, I received the wrong bahn mi sandwich. I ordered the brisket bahn mi and received the lemongrass chicken. When I called 5ive Spice, I spoke to the manager John who was incredibly apologetic and explained it was a very busy night, without offering excuses. He offered a full refund and invited me to order again and call and he would include a complimentary bahn mi. For what it's worth, it was a very busy night in NYC, all of the restaurants we were trying to get take out or delivery from were quoting 2+ hours, and John handled the situation perfectly. The food we received was tasty and did arrive on time.

I got the pho ($21.78), which is steep for pho, but I guess that's Midtown prices for you. The wait was a slog--over 20 minutes for a bowl of pho, which other Yelp reviews warned about. When it finally arrived, the soup lacked that authentic pho aroma, which was a letdown. On the plus side, the beef was fresh, and the reusable to-go bag was a nice touch. I ordered "Plain Pho", which is described as just broth and noodles, no garnish or meat. After waiting 30 minutes, for what is literally the simplest item on the menu, the bowl is brought out and it's a bowl of broth with a couple slices of chicken. No noodles. When I inquired, the server told me it's because I ordered the Plain Pho... yea and I said it comes with noodles and broth. They told me they could get me noodles, but acted like they were doing me a favor by fetching noodles for me, which was quite offputting because the noodles were quite literally half of the dish I actually ordered. How does one wait half-an-hour at a very casual fast Vietnamese food place, for premade soup and noodles, and still have the order wrong? In the end, I did get my noodles and broth, but the fact that I had to spend this much time and also justify my request for noodles (which are part of the dish) is quite insane. I put this at 2 stars for now, because I enjoyed my first time. Hopefully the service will improve.
