    Mexican Churros

The restaurant is very beautiful and the food is insta presentation worthy. However, if you're expecting your food to taste like it looks good elsewhere. We ordered guac, tamalitos and chicharrones for appetizers. The guac was like they took the pico and mixed with a little bit of avocado. The corn tamales we requested cheese, we received chicken but decided to try. The meat was rubbery and the masa was flavorless. The chicharrones were ok. For dinner we got tacos, flautas and enchiladas. The enchiladas seemed to have mole sauce not enchilada sauce on them beware also quite spicy. The rest of the food was meh. For dessert we tried the churros which were good minus the side sauces. Why did they have milk? Makes no sense!! The house margarita was weak and the coconut mojito. Seemed to not have alcohol specially at $15 we didn't get a second round. Our tab was $160. So definitely not worth it. Service was slow and requests were missed during food order. Not planning on returning.

Chips and salsa provided when you sit down.

This place just opened but it won't be a secret for very long. Delicious food that was served efficiently and with a smile. The staff are very inviting and easy to talk to. Also it's an intimate setting so not too loud or bright.

Cracked tortillas, both of them. And cold bland sides with mostly vegetables vs protein (chicken).

Ok so, I wasn't even going to leave a review, but then I had to. It was our first time here, so we didn't know what to expect, all we knew was that this place was "new". So upon entering, there was not really much of a wait. I stood before this younger male worker, at the hostess sand wiping menus and completely had no clue that I was standing in front of him just wanting to request a table for two. It was just my mother and I. I don't know if he just didn't see me or was just completely checked out... spaced out more like it. Anyway after capturing his attention, we finally got sat, and First came the chips and the bottle of water, no drinking glasses, those came much later. Followed by side dishes. And then the silverware. All at different times. It would've been nice to have one manager or adult supervisor stop by the table just to ask how things were, but there was really no interaction from any kind of management whatsoever. It's a Friday night at 8pm, Any sort of supervisor would've been fine or some grown-up member of leadership. As for the food, we both ordered the chicken fajitas and we both asked for corn tortillas. When we opened up the packaging for the tortillas they were both literally cracked and fell apart when you tried to roll them into a taco. We asked for cheese because traditionally, although maybe not in Mexico, but we wanted more queso Blanco or just white cheese to add to the fajita and he brought it and then charged us two dollars without telling us they'll be an extra charge. We don't mind at all but at least let your guests know. He was nice. The taste overall was pretty bland, I enjoyed my chicken however my mother said that her portion was described as way more vegetables and very oily versus protein. "Hardly any chicken" ...The side dishes of the rice and beans were rather tasteless and cold. It wasn't very nice at all. We won't be coming back but I hope they kind of get their act together here. It was just nice to try someplace different. Good luck to you, Bandoleros. Oh and yeah and takes forever to wait for the check. Sorry not a very good review but I like to be honest. Sorry I couldn't have been better. But I hope this makes a difference in a much positive way.

Shrimp fajitas, comes with side of rice and beans and toppings. And a Bandoleros house margarita!

Chips and salsa were brought to the table immediately. There's a unique drink menu, and the Bandolero house margarita was delicious! My table also got the queso which was amazing. The portion of the fajitas is large, I had leftovers :) can't wait to return and try more!

Love the vibe but the food is just ok. It's pricey for what it is and not a huge menu. Waitstaff was very nice, though.

Nothing on the menu or from the server mentioned that, which was disappointing right away. When I told the server I didn't like it and wanted something else, he literally tilted his head and said, "ummm what do I tell the bartender?" That honestly rubbed me the wrong way -- just felt unprofessional and awkward. Jenny got a tequila cosmo, which was fine, nothing special. Food-wise, everything was just average. The bao buns were overcooked and the bun fell apart, though the flavor was decent. The pineapple fried rice was probably the best thing we had, but even that was just okay. We also had dumplings -- Jenny liked them, but I thought they were just alright. Dessert was the biggest miss. The blueberry cobbler was not good at all -- maybe a 3/10 at best. One thing that really didn't sit right was when we asked to split the tasting menu and were told no. That doesn't make much sense -- if people want to share, especially for a tasting menu, it should be allowed. Overall, nothing stood out in a good way, and between the service and the food, solid ambiance , it just wasn't a great experience.

Portions were larger than expected, and each dish was very shareable, so you can easily try eight things instead of four if you plan it right. They also have live jazz music -- every Thursday from 7-10pm, and on Friday and select Saturday nights from 8-11pm. If you want a clear view of the musicians, try to sit on the right side (opposite the entrance), though the middle works too. It's a fairly small space, so most tables can see, and all tables can hear. Overall, it's a fun spot -- good food, a relaxed vibe, and the live music (when available) adds a nice touch. If you're looking for something new to try when in the Beverly / Salem area, or a good date-night venue, I'd check out Sala.

A few street parking spots but it's across from a lot so it wasn't hard to get a spot. 6:30 on a Friday but we were easy able to get a table for 2. The place was fairly busy with multiple parties of 6 but service was speedy. Right away we had water and mocktails on our table. I tried the hibiscus Havana and it was great. Super refreshing and light. It tastes of ginger beer and hibiscus with lime. The not so great tapas we had was the mushroom strudel. The texture was pasty and it tasted like dirt and oysters. It's probably just us but we did not like it at all. The other one that was just ok was the croquetas. They taste pretty good but the filling is quite pasty. We did order the patatas bravas which came out undercooked and we sent them back. Now the good...we had the pan con tomate, always a staple and it didn't disappoint. Fresh tomato with olive oil on a crispy baguette. The Chicken empanadas are so flavorful and the sauce is awesome. The star of the night though was churrasquito, short rib steak, with chimichurri. It was divine. Would defiantly go back and get that again. Overall survive is so quick and friendly. There was live music which was nice and an easy in and out experience

They came back around 4 or 5 times to ask me what kind of tea, if I want milk, should the milk be hot or cold, like a "cup" of tea or "something else"? It took about 20 minutes and the involvement of three people for them to bring me half a mug of hot water, a little cup of (hot) milk, and a celestial seasonings English Breakfast tea bag and then had the temerity to charge 9 DOLLARS for it. Zayith's ambiance is clean and functional, but it didn't feel warm or cozy. More like an upscale cafe, than a dinner restaurant. And the modern-electric-pop music was unexpected. Not unpleasant, in fact we kind of liked it actually. Just surprising. The service was good. There were 6 of us and we ordered 6 things, and fortunately we weren't ravenously hungry because otherwise we might've needed at least 3 more. We ordered mushroom salad, pad paa (a scrumptious concoction of veggies in sauce that comes with jasmine rice), crab fried rice, roasted brussel sprouts, grilled pork cheek, chicken ka praw. The order was ready for pickup within 30 minutes (which is what it predicted online). The food was freshly made, hot, ready to go at 8 p.m. and the staff were friendly and helpful. It looked like the customers there were having a fun time. We all really enjoyed every bite, particularly the pad paa with jasmine rice. It ended up being enough food for us as well.

The fried chicken skin was a standout. The crispy skin paired perfectly with a cold beer. The pork cheek was incredibly tender and very filling. Not every dish was a hit, though. The crab fried rice was a bit disappointing. It was essentially regular fried rice with just a few pieces of crab sprinkled on top, so it didn't feel worth ordering. The crab curry was also a letdown.
