What can I say? My husband and I loved this place. The food was excellent! The wait service was quick and courteous. Delicious chips, salsa, guacamole, all the things. So good! Well, first off: Amazing location! Right by the Merrimack river. Outdoor and Indoor seating. The menu was a little disappointing. Perhaps it's a limited menu "à la Covid", who knows. But Casa Blanca in Billerica has/had a better menu. Anyway, I had the Trio Enchiladas and it was absolutely delicious. Even more so with a side of their red habanero sauce! Fantastic! Love love love it! I think of it and drool all over my keyboard! Don't bother ordering their "Long Island Ice Tea". Bleh.... Worst I ever had. Yes, you get A LOT of booze, but it doesn't taste good. Working in Methuen now I've been looking for someplace local to grab some good grub after closing. Until tonight I was giving up hope. But Casa Blanca was a pleasant surprise! It was a quiet Wednesday evening, and I was seated quickly by a window overlooking the water. Chips and salsa came speedily, while I looked at my options. I picked a Margarita and went with the burrito bowl with shredded chicken. The rita was on point and the bowl was fresh and filling. I asked for some hot salsa to mix in, and they gladly complied with some fiery sauce. Yum. I'll be back for sure. read more

Loved Casa Blanca in Methuen MA! This place is a hidden gem, with amazing views of the Merrimack River and the nicest owner. We started off with some classic margs, both were delicious. We then got the fresh guacamole, SO yummy and flavorful. Our entrees were the chicken quesadilla and the fried cod tacos. We both scarfed them down so fast, everything was delicious and freshly made with large portions. Have not been here in a couple of months. The food is still ok but not as great as usual. The refries were way off. The service was BAD! It took 30 min to get a drink never mind food. The "wait staff" could not keep track of 2 very easy orders. Bought the wrong stuff 3 times & kept leaving stuff out. They forgot my drink and brought my friend the wrong one. Given the chaos to get the meal I was stunned that the check was right. Maybe I should just do 'to go' rather than invest 2 hrs for craziness when there was only 3 customers in the whole place. read more

Came in a big group to celebrate a friend's birthday. Waitress was missing more than half the time. Food took more than 30 mins to come out and all the food was cold when it came out. When we said something she argued with us saying it was hot when she brought it out. Took another 10 mins to bring the check. We didn't even eat there just boxed up everything and left. My wife and I visited the Methuen, MA Casa Blanca Restaurant on the 24th of November @ 7:30 PM. We have been regular customers of this restaurant and had only occasionally experienced less than satisfactory results. Last night was a terrible example of how everything that can go wrong did go wrong. We paid our bill and vowed never to go back again. The epic story begin with our wanting two Margaritas. We regularly visit Chili's who offer their standard Margarita for $5.00. Last night, Casa Blanca offered us their "standard" Margarita for $9.00 - with numerous other revs at twice that amount. It seems that the restaurant's prices have jumped up BIG TIME. We tasted the drink and there was hardly any flavor of tequila. When we complained, they took the drinks back - returning about 10 minutes later with a virgin Margarita -- and two (one for my wife and one for myself) 1-1/2 oz glasses of tequila which the server poured into our Margarita making it ever so yummy. Question: What was this restaurant trying to do by serving us a drink at $9 a pop that had hardly any liquor in it? Your guess is as good as mine? Then we ordered our favorite Mexican meal - Cheese Enchilada with Mole sauce served with Spanish rice and re-fried beans. What did we receive? CHICKEN ENCHILADAS with their standard accompaniments. We called for our server and explained that we ordered cheese enchiladas and not chicken. The server took the plates back and returned about 15 minutes later with the plate filled with what we originally ordered. We also ordered tortillas separately. Throughout this entire experience, we never received the tortillas? Why? No clue? It is only a guess but I expect this restaurant is having economic challenges and may be hanging on by a thread economically. They're likely trying to raise prices on their most popular dishes/drinks to cover their fixed overhead because their regulars (patrons like us) have stopped dining there. It is unlikely that my wife and I will return to this Casa Blanca anytime soon. It is sad to see this restaurant go bad. They are shooting themselves in the foot and alienating their customer base from wanting to do business again. My wife and I advise potential patrons to stay away from this restaurant for a good long while. Maybe they'll get a new manager, a new cook (or cooks), and a manager who cares a little about his customers. Yesterday was no example of that policy being in place - even remotely. Stay away or be prepared for unexpected, unpleasant none tasty surprises. read more

Update: We are still coming to Casa Blanca for drinks and food. This has become our favorite Mexican place in the area. Soledad is usually our server and she is excellent and a very hard worker. We have seen her run the entire bar, run her own orders to the tables, and serve tables across the restaurant all by herself. I can tell that she keeps this place running. Food is still excellent as well as the drinks. We will continue to come back here. We love this place. read more

I love this place. Best restaurant that has been in this spot. There was always new ones that never worked out here. I love the mango margarita and the food is always so good. I've gotten almost every different type of food you can get, fajitas, tacos, burritos, everything. It's always good and fresh. Sometimes the service is a little lacking and they're very slow but that's only when it's pretty busy and it's only about 2 of the servers, not all. Everyone's been so friendly and they have good prices. Will always come back here for good food. read more

Bartender made two passes by us (looking at my empty beer glass) before he asked if I wanted another. Went there for lunch today and was disappointed for several reasons.. 1. It is a Mexican restaurant, why the Spanish music? Which was a bit loud. 2. Food was good but on the bland side. I am not one for very spicy but taco salad had no taste at all. 3. Most critical!!! Ordered a side of guacamole with my salad, after a few bites noticed a very long hair in it. This location is great. Right on the river with fantastic views. The restaurant is very open and nicely decorated. Our server did have some problems understanding as English was obviously second language which made us think the food would be great and authentic. Not so much. My husband and I love this place. We just love seeing our favorite bartender/waiter. The margaritas are really good. The salsa is ok not my favorite because I am a little picky with that but their queso dip is delicious. My husband and son really like their wings. You will not leave hungry between appetizers, meals and the desserts. There is a bar for the adults and a seating area for families. I've only been to the North Andover location. That was for lunch and I enjoyed it a great deal. The new Methuen location is a different story. We were seated promptly, and at a table along the river. The manager (apparently) was our server. We had no silverware, or napkins, but he brought the chips & salsa quickly enough. Still no silverware. He took our order. Yep...no silverware. The drinks and appetizers came. You guessed it. No silverware. We finally stole plates and setups from another table. Barely into the appetizers, and our entrees showed up. Huge pet peeves of mine. They forgot the pico de gallo on the entrees, and since only one staff member was in the dinning room (on the other side), I had to go and ask her for it. She looked at me, and went back to what she was doing. Food was ok. It came out so fast, I have a hard time believing it wasn't mostly premade. Surprisingly good. My friend and I came here for a late lunch on a Friday and noticed that we were the only customers in the whole restaurant. This was concerning because no one was at the front so we weren't sure if they were even open but once the waitress came and seated us everything was good. We were seated by the window and the view of the river was incredible! We were given complimentary tortilla chips and salsa which were addictive. The waitress was super nice and refilled our tortilla chips and salsa when we were low. And we both ordered sandwiches which were large, filling & tasty. Definitely worth the price. My granddaughter and I went to this location today, and I loved it! We were greeted warmly, and given a seat by the window, overlooking the river. Right after we were seated, the manager brought warm tortilla chips, and homemade salsa. He took our drink order since the server was busy, but she came over immediately, to make sure we had ordered drinks, and to see if we had questions about the menu. Great choices on the menu, by the way! I had a vegetarian combo which was great, and came with black beans and rice. So much food! My granddaughter had a Turkey Club with Avocado and fries which she enjoyed. All in all, this was a great place to go, and we will be back.
