The food taste like trash and the customer service is so trash it left the window and they have a $2 fee on every order plus the tax. The rice tastes like burn and un cooked , I order steak medium rare they gave me a burn steak and the salad taste old and not fresh. The bean taste like they put the bean can on the microwave and once it was hot they put on the plate. This place deserves no start and in the trash m, like their food. The ambience and customer service is the worse, take some customers service classes you ignorant staff. read more

My fav Mexican food place in Massachusetts, delicious food and friendly staff. The place is really clean too

I ordered a burrito from here today and asked for steak, chicken, cheese and rice. They gave me the total opposite. I received a chicken burrito with only BEANS and rice. Very dissatisfied especially with it being my first time. read more

I placed an order over the phone after I got there asking for my order they told me that the order was never placed. After asking for them to place my order since they never took it over the phone they refused to do so they said that they will not Place an order because they do not know where I placed it and that it was a waste of food. I requested to speak to the person in charge and she was a complete jerk no customer service whatsoever she refused to give me her name. Another nice young lady came from the kitchen and took the order for me which I appreciate, the manager called her out on it because she took my order She said and I quote " I would have not taken the order for her she can go pick it up where she placed it" I place orders here all the time and it's very disappointing to come across such disrespectful and rude personal, zero customer service. read more

Good quesadillas. They are big enough to share. The chorizo was very good. The menudo smell was too overwhelming to the point it made me question the quality. Mentioned this to the waitress and she did not care nor remove from the bill. Not coming back. read more

The food is pretty good but nobody in the restaurant is wearing a mask and that turned me off to this place. Sad because it's probably good in normal times. read more

It was Tuesday and we were looking for a nice spot to celebrate in true "Taco Tuesday"fashion. We found this place driving by. The outside and neighborhood do not attest to the quality of food here. The tacos were inexpensive n simple but cooked and seasoned very well. The Ceviche was also well seasoned and spicy. My friend had tried the enchiladas which he raved about entire ride home. Though the place is small it was very clean and the waitresses were very attentive. Only problem is that they do not serve alcohol, even though their virgin Piña coladas were delicious! read more

The location is very small; seating is very limited, but the do have additional seats at the bar (no alcohol is served). The servers seem to be taking care of other kitchen duties and sometimes lack attention to the customer. They are pretty prompt attending you as soon as you sit down. The fried fish is missing a little bit of flavor. The steak is packed with flavor in every single bite. The pupusas aren't the best I have ate, but if you are not use to eating this oh will love them. The chicharon sometimes isn't fried long enough. The tostadas; so far my favorite is the carnitas (shredded pork); when eating them make sure you eat over your plate. The passion fruit juice is not consistent with flavor; first time delicious second time felt water down. I have been here at least 3 times and will continue to come. read more

So this was a nice surprise.. my husband met the owner and he provided him a free lunch. He came home to tell me about it and we tried it. He says its tasty and fresh. I do not eat meat but they do have a vegeterian burrito, salads and a few sides for me. They are accomodating if you want to swap out sides too. It was busy when we arrived but it's not a fancy place so the guests dont stay long. There is minimal parking but also street parking near by. The guac and salsa was very flavorful. If your hungry try el Montanero which brings a lil ot everything. They have good juices and shakes too. Enjoy... read more

Taco guapo have the best food!!! I can say it's my favorite place!! I just hope they do deliveries

As a fellow Lawrencian (if thats how you even word it) I enjoy coming to this spot once in a while.. sometimes after a night of drinking. The food here is really good and usually comes out in a timely manner. I either get the pupusas revueltas or any tortas (preferable chicken.) The location is very sketchy and parking usually sucks, but I enjoy the food here as a Guatemalan myself. read more

Best burritos I've had in years! Have been many times, and I have yet to be let down once! Pros. Very clean Friendly staff Great food Very affordable Family friendly Open late Cons. The food is authentic and amazing, I love any order that has steak in it, service is a hit or miss though, just be aware, if you're willing to wait a bit for SOME of the staff to serve you then the place will be your FAVORITE place, most likely you'll be treated very nicely and be flabbergasted by the food. read more

Location: What you'd expect for Lawrence. Easy parking. Staff: Nice, helpful, good service. Atmosphere: Casual, very hole-in-the-wall. Food: Okay. Ordered tacos and they were not bad but nothing special. Soft drinks were overly sweet, water cost a dollar. Cost: Very inexpensive, but there was a 25 or 50 cent price increase on each item from the menu price to our bill... Would I return: No read more

I used to love this place however my last visit there when I was checking out a cockroach fell on my jacket literally fell from the ceiling it freaked me out and I was so grossed out and the lady still had the nerve to ask me a form of payment to cash out the food. Always pleased when I order from here. Nachos are loaded, burritos are big and delicious, steak plates are a good size and good taste. Pupusas ways hit the spot. Great food for a great price read more

When my girlfriend and I walk it it seemed to not be as busy but none of the waitresses were around. We promptly sat down and it took about 15 minutes for someone to greet us and hand us menus. The table was dirty and when given silverware it was to. The food came in large portions which was great but the food was very bland. We basically empty out the salt bottle by the time we left. The setting itself was nice the decorations and music was very inviting. Parking on the other hand was very limited. read more

Restaurant is small but fairly clean. Portions are very good and workers are very friendly. Not a place to go on a rush, because they do take their time cooking your food. My favorite are the Tostadas, always tasty and only $2.50! But I won't order the chicken one because the chicken looks funny, not like chicken. read more

If I could rate this zero stars I would! Ordered two breakfasts that should have cost 19 and they charged me 24... on top of that the food was mediocre and that's being nice! Save you're time and money and avoid this place like the pleagu read more

We were traveling through and stopped here since the Yelp reviews were very positive. We are glad we stopped! I had the Pork Burrito and it was incredible. The right size and very flavorful. Excellent papusas and super fresh slaw. Tacos el pastor were generous, very tasty and were adorned with jicama, lime, radish, cilantro, and onion. Little kids running around. A little tough if you don't speak Spanish, but that's what you get when a joint is genuine! read more

I only gave them 4 stars because they don't serve beer but other than that they were delicious!!!! Was there tonight and it was AMAZING!!!! My bf got the the plato Montañero which came with sweet fried plantain, rice with a perfectly fried egg on top (yokey perfection), chicharron and thin perfectly grilled steak!!! Sooo good, their pico de gallo was really good as well and usually pico isn't anything to rave about! I had two tacos one with chorizo and other with pastor. They add chopped onions and you can add spicy sauce or pico as well. All in all our meal was affordable: a whole plate of food and 4 tacos ended up being almost $30 including drinks!!! The owners were very friendly too. Btw don't let the location intimidate you, I promise the area isn't that bad!!! :-) read more

Very consistent. Have yet to have a bad meal . I did notice it looked like the changed the French fries, but they were still good. I normally get the chicken quesadilla, and it is always full of flavor. read more

What a great find...the food here is excellent. The meats are very tasty and perfectly cooked. Loved the carnitas, pastor, lengua and adobada. Can't say enough about these tacos. The papusas were delicious as well. Friendly and helpful staff. Enjoy the view out the window as well. A really great little spot. I've been going back repeatedly ever since discovering this little gem. read more

I went there for the first time yesterday and I was not happy with the way the woman at the register treated me. She seemed to be in a bad mood, when I asked her how much the pupusas were, she replied in a bad way that the price was in the menu and turned around and left. When the pupusas were ready, she placed them on the counter and announced that they were ready, she made no attempt to make eye contact with me or address me to let me know my order was ready, I'm not sure if she is the owner or an employee but either way she should learn to treat people in a respectful way, I am a very humble and respectful person and I treat people right and expect to be treated in the same manner, as for the pupusas, they were okay, no complaint there... thanks for reading my review of this place. read more

The best Mexican/central american restaurant in the area. Great staff and owner. High quality food, perfectly cooked meats. I've had almost everything on the menu. I recommend a quesadilla or el plato montanero. Also the best horchata I've had to drink. Burritos I would day "Tacos Lupita" has the upper hand on, everything else Taco Guapo. A must visit! read more

We loved it, it is very casual and the prices are reasonable, the food tasty and the services was fine. It isn't the Mexican you get in American chain restaurants. Well worth a stop when in Lawrence.
