    Burrito

I ordered a burrito from here today and asked for steak, chicken, cheese and rice. They gave me the total opposite. I received a chicken burrito with only BEANS and rice. Very dissatisfied especially with it being my first time.

It was Tuesday and we were looking for a nice spot to celebrate in true "Taco Tuesday"fashion. We found this place driving by. The outside and neighborhood do not attest to the quality of food here. The tacos were inexpensive n simple but cooked and seasoned very well. The Ceviche was also well seasoned and spicy. My friend had tried the enchiladas which he raved about entire ride home. Though the place is small it was very clean and the waitresses were very attentive. Only problem is that they do not serve alcohol, even though their virgin Piña coladas were delicious!

The location is very small; seating is very limited, but the do have additional seats at the bar (no alcohol is served). The servers seem to be taking care of other kitchen duties and sometimes lack attention to the customer. They are pretty prompt attending you as soon as you sit down. The fried fish is missing a little bit of flavor. The steak is packed with flavor in every single bite. The pupusas aren't the best I have ate, but if you are not use to eating this oh will love them. The chicharon sometimes isn't fried long enough. The tostadas; so far my favorite is the carnitas (shredded pork); when eating them make sure you eat over your plate. The passion fruit juice is not consistent with flavor; first time delicious second time felt water down. I have been here at least 3 times and will continue to come.

The best pupusas in MA hands down! My husband and I always eat here, I get loroco y queso because I'm pescatarian. My husband gets tacos and pupusas! The atol de elite is delicious!! I recommend this place!! The price is inexpensive and great service !!! Love it here!!!

So this was a nice surprise.. my husband met the owner and he provided him a free lunch. He came home to tell me about it and we tried it. He says its tasty and fresh. I do not eat meat but they do have a vegeterian burrito, salads and a few sides for me. They are accomodating if you want to swap out sides too. It was busy when we arrived but it's not a fancy place so the guests dont stay long. There is minimal parking but also street parking near by. The guac and salsa was very flavorful. If your hungry try el Montanero which brings a lil ot everything. They have good juices and shakes too. Enjoy...

Looks good right? It was ok....

Our server took about 10 minutes to come over, but he brought our drinks out fast. We both ordered the Ceviche Campechano, which was good -- I've had other ceviches that packed more lemon and cilantro flavor, but this one still hit the spot. It came with saladita crackers, which felt weird at first, but ended up working really well. The service went downhill from there, though. It took forever for our server to check on us after the food came. Eventually, I noticed he was also bartending, which explained a lot. The place got packed while we were there, and drink orders were nonstop. He didn't come back, and I had to flag someone else down to ask for him, but he still never came. We decided to share dessert and got the churros with vanilla ice cream. The portion was good for sharing, but the churros were hard as a rock and impossible to eat. The ice cream was okay, nothing special. We asked for the check as soon as the dessert came because, at that point, we knew it'd take another 20 minutes to get it, and we were right. The whole thing ended up taking about 3.5 hours, which was way too long for what it was. It was hard to hear each other as the pace kept getting packed and the music was getting louder. Parking is decent. Street parking is free after 6 pm (Monday-Saturday), and I think they have a small lot behind the restaurant, but I've never used it. Honestly, the food was good, but the slow service and crazy wait times really ruined the night. I get that they were busy and understaffed, but it still shouldn't have taken that long. Not sure if I'd go back anytime soon.

I had to travel up to Massachusetts on Monday and I was quite disappointed with the lack of a New England accent on anyone. We used to be a proper country. In any event, on Monday, I went to Mexica Burrito Grill. I met a man, on the line in front of me who insisted this place was good. I was skeptical because, I don't know this guy and why was he being so friendly? I ignored the warning signs and assumed he may be correct as he too was a husky gentleman. I ordered a burrito bowl with carnitas. I told them to include the rice and beans, because a man needs fuel that sticks to the ribs, along with double carnitas, cheese, and nothing else that sounded like it belonged in a rabbit's lunch. No vegetables, no salsa, no cilantro trying to ruin a perfectly good meal. They delivered. The carnitas were delish, properly seared, and tasted like actual pork that had been treated with respect (salt, heat, and time). The rice and beans did their job, simple, hearty, and not pretending to be anything fancy. No lectures about "fresh ingredients" or where the avocado came from. No one cares, Chad. Just a solid bowl of meat and starch, which is how God intended bowls to be used. I ate it back at the hotel with a black coffee and a pocketknife for portion control. Felt like I could split logs afterward. This is acceptable food. I may return. Highly recommended for men who understand that beef or pork are staples, with enough rice and beans to keep the machine running.

It can feel a little cramped when it's crowded but the ambiance is nice with the soft lighting and vibrant decor. Service from the bartenders was great. Despite tacos and burritos being the only sections for main courses, some of the individual items can be meals on their own. I had the Surf and Turf quesadilla which was very filling. The tortilla has nice and crispy and there was a good balance of the different fillings (shrimp, steak, cheese, guacamole, and pico de gallo). The chipotle sour cream (I assume that's what it was, the menu didn't say) was a nice addition. The cocktails are as tasty as they are cheekily named. My favorite among the ones I've tried is Smoked Mangos, which comes with a slice or torched mango. The prices for both food and drink are a little steep and the food menu is rather limited, which is the reason I give this place stars instead of 5. If you come in expecting free chips and salsa and huge portions like your typical (American) Mexican restaurant, you'll be disappointed. If you want somewhere fun to have some drinks and some smaller plates, you'll be satisfied.

Today the place seemed a bit slow so maybe they didn't have the need to have a fresh batch constantly being made. Regardless they were acceptable and the salsa was good. I ordered the Pescado Azteca. Came out quickly and nice and hot! Kudos for not making the dish swimming in cheese sauce! Just enough to mix with the shrimp and veggies with a little bit to flavor the already seasoned white fish. Fish was a little bit dry, but the fresh veggies and shrimp livened it up. Mexican rice was good, could use a little more seasoning in my opinion but overall a well made rice. Overall a good experience and happy that I was not auto-tipped on the bill. Though that practice has not stopped and I witnessed the table next door deal with that situation. The menu proudly advertised a variety of margaritas, which initially felt promising on a Friday. SOLD! That optimism was short-lived. Parking technically exists, but the lot is so narrow it feels more like a trust exercise. Drive straight or prepare to exchange insurance information. We were seated quickly, which was great. Unfortunately, the booth area we were placed in was very dark--white text on a pink background in low lighting is certainly... a choice. Vision test unlocked. Our waiter? Service was present but forgettable. No name, no personality, no guidance. We weren't informed about the lunch menu until after our food arrived--because it was never mentioned. No recommendations, no upsell, no effort to engage. Prices leaned high, which would've been acceptable if the food had arrived hot. Instead, everything landed in that awkward lukewarm zone as if it had been sitting patiently, waiting for us to lower our expectations. The drinks were... confusing. My friend and I ordered the same margarita. Hers arrived a deep purple sangria-adjacent color. Mine came out pale and peach-toned. Same drink, allegedly. Consistency was not invited to the party. We weren't rushing--this was a rare chance to catch up. We ordered multiple margaritas, an appetizer, and entrées. Despite this, the server made it very clear that our continued presence was inconvenient. This was apparently unacceptable. Our waiter made it very clear he was not into us hanging around. Overall: atmosphere was decent, but the vibe wasn't friendly or particularly welcoming. Between the inconsistent drinks, lukewarm food, and the "please leave" energy, this one missed the mark entirely.
