Food quality was very good. Hubby is not a rice eater, but however they made his side of rice with his pollo cilantro and it was better than he expected he tells me. I got a burrito plate with plenty of rice and refried beans. It was the small size bowl but it came in a big amount. Service was great. Nice place for a decent meal. Tequila Jalisco is your standard American Mexican Cuisine restaurant. You'll find the same favorites that you'll see at most places in this category. Traveling for business in the area, TJ was located directly across the street from my hotel and was easy to walk to. It wasn't incredibly busy so I was seated and taken care of immediately. The service throughout was great. Not too much, not too little. I ordered three Steak Street Tacos. They were good but uneventful. I would even say borderline okay. The steak was a bit chewy and lacked any seasoning, but they were good. I don't overload Street Tacos with condiments so simple onion, cilantro, a squeeze of lime juice and some hot sauce is good by me. Would I go back? If in the area, I absolutely would. It was my first time ordering here and I ordered out so I can't comment on service or ambiance. We had chips, guacamole, salsa, grande quesadilla, birria tacos, kid's chicken fingers with fries, and banana cheesecake. Our favorite bites were the pico de gallo that was served with the grande quesadilla and the banana cheesecake, which we felt stood out far above the other food. Overall the food was fine but not good enough to justify the price and/or want to return. If the food I had today is how Tequila Jalisco always is, I believe changes need to be made to be competitive in this area. I would really like to see them improve. There is a lot of Tex-Mex in this area...Texas Roadhouse, Shorty's, La Carreta, Fronterra, Qdoba, Margaritas, El Tipico, El Tapatio, Casa Vieja, El Paisano... if you are after tacos/burritos, there's also In N Out, Bubbakoos and Chipotle. If considering delivery, there are even more Mexican options. Plus, at this price point, Tequila Jalisco is also competing with steakhouses, and I do see they have pricier steak options on their menu. At the very least, at this price, the food needs to be excellent. To be safe, the food or venue should have a wow-factor, something to set them apart, as they are asking a higher price than other businesses that make the same dishes in the immediate area. In depth on the food: The corn chips are good but are not salted. The salsa was salty enough for the chips, but had a higher heat level than expected and almost no flavor after that initial punch of heat. I think a mild salsa and pico de gallo should also be offered as options instead of the spicy salsa. The guacamole, taste and texture-wise, was a lot like Sabra. It was very homogenous and didn't have any chunks of avocado. At this price point, dining in, I would expect the guacamole to be made table-side. It should be made to order with the option of chunkier. We received a hot sauce that smelled a lot like expired dried chilis to me and was lacking flavor. It was pretty spicy, probably too spicy for most people here. We did not receive the quesabirria we ordered and received birria tacos instead. The birria meat and broth were salty enough and had a little of that deep birria flavor but not enough of it!! It tasted watered down, like it had not cooked long enough or reduced enough. The birria tacos needed to be dressed up with a lot of lime to compensate and were fine but not great. In N Out Burritos just down the road have excellent, flavorful birria tacos at a lower price point which I go out of my way to get. The steak in the grande quesadilla was cooked well-done and not great quality. I mention this because Tequila Jalisco is competing with other steakhouses, which usually have a steak quesadilla where the steak is cooked to order and not cooked well-done. The steak had an appropriate level of salt but needed more seasoning and flavor. The grande quesadilla was placed on top of sour cream, pico de gallo, and guacamole salad, which made the bottom soggy and unpleasant. Hot food should be packed separate from cold elements. The chicken fingers were probably a pre-made frozen product and seemed to be processed chicken, not whole chicken breast. Maybe it was tenders made too thin, but I doubt it. I am attaching a photo. They tasted greasy and were not good. The fries did not have any salt on them. There's a moment when hot fries should be salted. By the time they get to the customer they are too cold to hold salt. If unsalted is the default here, there should be an option for salted. The rice was salted correctly and acceptable, but I would prefer more of the oniony-tomatoey broth flavor. Beans were cooked well but a little too salty, especially when eaten with the salted rice. The beans, like the hot sauce, had an off-putting flavor like stale chilies or stale seasoning. The beans did go well with the unsalted chips, but this is an issue when the beans are served with rice and are too salty together. Overall, the cooking technique was very good but there are issues with seasoning and flavor. The cooks should be tasting as they prepare and get a second opinion. At this price point, there should also be a wow-factor. The only item we felt had that was the banana cheesecake. By far the best item, beautifully fried, soft and creamy in the middle. It came with cinnamon sugar on top, whipped topping, ice cream, honey, and chocolate syrup on the side. We very much enjoyed this dessert. However, this dish did also have an issue. By the time we received the whipped topping, it was a disgusting watery chunky mess. We discarded it. It would have been a shame to serve whipped topping on such a nice dessert anyway. Real whipped cream should be served, and should be packed on top of the ice cream instead to keep it cool. I see potential for this business. I hope this review can help this establishment improve and reach their goals. read more

The $6.50 queso was in a super small cup and was half full. Chips and salsa come with the meal but I paid $6.50 for an extra chips and salsa. They gave me 2 bags of chips and 1 small salsa?? The small quesadilla was delicious but $20. I'm disappointed because everything actually tasted great! I won't go here again. Most of the workers here dont understand english. And this is a MAJOR problem if someone is allergic to nuts, like my girlfriend. It was very hard to get them to understand that she could die if she came in contact with any nuts. Asking simple things about the menu was a chore. The service was super slow even when the restaurant wasnt crowded at all. It took 15-20min just to get drinks. They also may not ask you what size margarita you want, then proceed to give you the big one which you dont know its the big one but that one is $27 which is absurd. The queso dip came in a to-go container which is the strangest thing... they also couldnt make the tiramisu martini which is also strange, how do you not have the ingredients... i will say the food is pretty good and drinks seemed to be good, not the best Mexican around but it tasted good. He was quick to get drinks but then we waited another ten to order food. My fiancé could see our waiter talking with other waiters and fooling around rather than serving his one or two tables. The guy who sat us didn't even say hello, no one greeted us at the door actually, everyone that worked there that walked by seemed angry or annoyed for some reason. Although our waitress was nice. We ordered guacamole and usually at good Mexican restaurants they make it table side, this place did not do that, seemed like it was Sabre brand. Tequila Jalisco is your standard Tex-Mex restaurant but with better tasting food than most. Their grand opening was today at 11:00 AM but we arrived just before 4:00 PM when the Mariachi Band was slated to perform. We were warmly greeted and sat down as soon as we entered. A waitress was at our table within 2 minutes with warm chips and a moderately spicy and thick salsa. She returned a minutes later with ice water and took our drink order. My 32 ounce Dos Equis Amber was ice cold and refreshing. My wife's virgin strawberry margarita on the rocks was tasty, but maybe a little too sweet --- though not as sweet as my wife. We ordered our meals while being served our drinks: Steak & Shrimp Fajitas for my wife and the Enchilada Trio for me. The steak was tender, delicious, and seasoned to perfection. The shrimp were cooked just right and I stole a couple from my wife's plate. (Many places overcook the shrimp in fajitas resulting in a rubbery texture.) The shrimp snapped in half with my fork and convinced me that next time I'll be ordering Shrimp Fajitas or maybe their Shrimp & Scallop Fajitas. All three of my enchiladas (beef, chicken, cheese) were delicious but the chicken enchilada with salsa verde was the star of the plate. We finished up with 3 of the best Sopapillas I've ever had. They came with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream topped with whipped cream. The ambiance was OK, but maybe a little too wide open for my liking. There was a side alcove that offered a little more privacy and I'll probably ask to sit there next time. And there definitely will be a next time! read more

Everyone in our party loved their food the only thing that I would say was different than most Mexican restaurant was the nachos. Based on previous reviews, I was somewhat nervous, but our personal experience was much better. First impression was the decor was very bright and festive. Huge chandeliers with brightly color glass, brightly colored walls, white marble tables all made for a very positive environment. Lots of families, including Hispanics, all with kids, some celebrating birthdays all helped to make it fun. Eait staff was attentive and asked the right questions. None of us drink very much, but luckily they had Hkn 0.0, my favorite NA beer. Menu was long, and typical of a chain. Food came pretty quickly. While not the most exciting, it was about what we expected. Wasn't looking for gourmet in Nashua. Overall a fine meal. read more

I ordered the Burrito Monterrey with shredded beef. The beef was bland and under seasoned though oddly sweet. The refried beans were inedible because of large clumps of dried out (or uncooked?) beans. The rice was over salted and over cooked. I ultimately wound up filling up on chips and salsa. We ate at Tequila Jalisco on 2/27/25, getting an early dinner. There was a good crowd at the bar but only one other couple in the eating area. We were seated promptly and shortly after our waitress, Geneveva, arrived to get our drink order. My husband ordered the chicken fajitas and I ordered the Monterey burrito with chicken. The fajita portion was big, enough for lunch the next day but the burrito was average, enough for me. We both enjoyed our meals, everything was seasoned well without being too salty. The salsa is very good. Geneveva was very attentive and friendly. When we asked for boxes for the leftovers, I wanted one also for the tortilla chips. I'm reading the other reviews and thinking, "Wow, the bar for dining out has really been lowered." This is ordinary Mexican food. The rice and beans, I guarantee you, are right out of a can labeled "Sysco" or "US Foods". The entrees were tasty, but so are Chipotle's. The dining space is wide open with little privacy between the tables and nothing on the walls or floors to absorb the sound. That said, it's a great place to go if you're bringing children because nobody will hear them if they are whiny or annoying. We were there at a busy time, in the 5 to 6 PM range. While our waitress was attentive, the bar took a half an hour to make our second round of drinks. I wouldn't write off going back, but it won't be any time soon, and I would be sure not to order anything containing ground beef.
