Pastor Tacos

Speedy and friendly service! Delicious tacos - and excellent selection of beverages. I'm still here but needed to get this out before I forgot. We were in a rush - but this place hits the mark even if we weren't. Small spot , bustling with business.

Attentive service, good food, and a nice atmosphere create a nice place to enjoy a meal. I had the chips and salsa and 3 chicken tacos. All are made there, a scratch kitchen. Fresh ingredients just taste better. I had bottled water, a nice selection of beers, and a full bar - I want to go back for Margheritas!

Veggie Torta (not on the menu) Ask!!!

Vegetarian Torta Deliciosa! Recently returned to NH from SoCal, so I have tried a lot of Mexican Tortas... This torta was ! Veg torta is not even on the menu but I just asked, "Can I get a veggie torta?" I was told that it's not on the menu and that the cook hasn't made one before. But he went to work in the kitchen and made a veggie torta anyway If you're vegetarian and you think that meat is mandatory in most Mexican plates, don't be afraid to ask and ask nicely. This was my first visit since they opened 15 yrs ago, and I was satisfied. Will be returning to try more. Btw, los tres Hermanos y dueños son buen hombres. Sorry I didn't take more pics. Next time!

Large Burrito stuffed to my liking!

Started our night at a cute little place across from the Rex called Consuelo's Taquera. I thought my food was delicious ( that's my big burrito) and the Sangria was just sweet enough for me! Arthur (his nickname as I couldn't pronounce correctly) was such a wonderful host and accommodated all 13 of us! I can't wait to go back!

I went to this place for the first time recently based on the good reviews I saw. When I walked in…read moreit was empty and the lady behind the counter looked at me as if I shouldn't be there so I kindly asked if they were open and she said yes. 1st impression not so good in my opinion. I said I would like to place an order to go and she grabbed her pad. I ordered the following menu items so we could give them a try and see if they compared to our favorite Mexican place. 1st I said I'd like to get the Mexican Steak and I had to point at the menu item-the lady said NO, I said ok can I get the Steak Ranchero she said ok then I said with NO beans, she repeated no beans to me, I said yes, then she said ok. 2nd I said I would like the Solocarne Fajitas-I asked if I could do half chicken half beef she said NO, I said ok-then she said ok. 3rd I said I would like the guacamole and she said NO. 4th I said I would like to order some tacos. I said I want 2 chicken tacos, she said ok, I then said I want 2 steak tacos, she said ok and lastly I said I would like 2 Chorizo tacos, she said ok. She went to get the food ready. Without getting into details of watching that circus and having the uncomfortable silence I waited roughly 30 minutes while she heated up the food (she pulled all of it from her fridge and or her condiment station. I got the food and headed home so we could try it out again based on good reviews. The steak Ranchero steak was pale in color which told me either it was old or it was boiled either way it was terrible and chewy. I had said no bean I got beans which were gross along with the incredibly dried out rice. The Solocarne Fajitas steak was like the bits you get from the grease trap and chewy/fatty. The rice was just as dry as mine and the beans were gross. Even the veggies weren't good. Instead of 6 tacos we got just 4-2 chicken 1 steak and 1 chorizo. Not sure if I was charged for 6 or not because I was never given a detailed receipt. The taco shells were so dry we tossed them out, all the meat was so dry we didn't finish! The only thing that seemed good was the cilantro. This place in my opinion is terrible so I am very surprised at all the good reviews but to each their own.

They offer an extensive selection of authentic Mexican dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Cold bottled drinks offered here include Pepsi products, Jarritos, water, and beer. I stopped in here recently for dinner. There was fast paced Mexican music blasting very loud over the speakers, so I was definitely getting my food to go. I ordered the Chicken Fajitas ($11 plus tax) served with 2 sides (I chose yellow rice and beans). The food was cooked fresh to order and ready in about 25 minutes as promised, packed in two styrofoam boxes. The chicken fajitas consisted of marinated tender boneless chicken pieces, green peppers, red peppers, onions, and tomatoes, served with 4 warm soft corn tortillas and lettuce, tomato, & sour cream. The yellow rice was cooked firm and had a good chicken flavor. The refried black beans were very soft and smooth. The chicken fajitas I had were very good and not too greasy either. I would order the fajitas again!

Because we were there at an odd hour between lunch and dinner, the place was not very busy. The service held up, even during the lull period, and we never wanted for much of anything while we were there. Some of us ordered the $1.49 taco special of the day. These are the best $1.49 tacos we have ever had! Ground beef, shredded beef, and shredded chicken are the choices. Hard and soft shell options. The shredded beef and chicken fillings were delicious and generous. We had three other dished at the table, including street tacos and a burrito. The other stand out item was the Chile Relleno! One of the best I have ever had. Not a crispy version, rather a soft cooked version. The pepper was a perfect size and the cheese perfectly melty. The sauce is fantastic! A great value and experience for this menu item. If I find myself in Manchester, this will be at the top of my dining choices list.

The bright dining has long bar with seating to the left and plenty of table seating, yellow & brown painted walls, and a colorful mural. I stopped in for dinner at Iguana's very recently. The place was not too busy and I could sit anywhere I wanted. The owner greeted me and brought out complementary crunchy tortilla chips & red tomato salsa. He also brought out homemade green salsa, which was very good. I ordered water, a Poland Spring bottle ($2) and the Chicken Fajitas ($13.50 plus tax) served with rice and black beans. The chicken fajitas were served very hot on a skillet with fresh red & green peppers, onions, yellow zucchini and tender strips of chicken breast, a bit oily on the skillet. The side plate had soft Mexican rice, cup of black beans, and a green salad with pico de gallo. There was no guacamole or sour cream on the plate. I did have to request warm soft tortillas (I got 2) after being served. The portion of food was very generous and I was very full, so no dessert. Overall, I had a good dinner at Iguana's. The food was fresh, tasty, and very filling. What I liked about this place is that it was laid back and not mobbed or very busy like the other sitdown Manchester Mexican restaurants including Puerto Vallarta, Nuevo Vallarta, La Carreta, and Mi Jalisco. I actually had a good quiet dinner with the owner checking up on me to see how things were.
