I've heard some good things about this restaurant, so I decided to give it a try. They have plenty of parking in front of the restaurant. We were greeted and given the option of where we wanted to sit. The place wasn't busy, so there were many seating options. Our server took our drink order as soon as we sat down. We were also served complimentary chips and salsa. For my main course, I decided to try the Enchiladas de Jaiba (crab). They came with rice and beans. I found the rice and beans to be underseasoned. The enchiladas were just okay and did not stand out to me flavor-wise. The place had music blasting in Spanish, which made conversations difficult. We sat at a booth that had seen better days and was in need of new upholstery. I am unlikely to return to this place, as there are many other Mexican restaurants to try in the area. read more

After hearing about Mi Mexico Lindo, decided to give it a shot. Overcast Saturday night and why not. Street parked and walked in to a nicely decorated spot which blasting Latino music and not very busy. Was seated quickly in on the booths and our drink orders were taken. I went with a simple lemonade and perused the menu. Decided on the Camerones à la Diabla. The chips and salsa were brought while we waited for the meals. Salsa was fresh but the whole stems from the cilantro and the lack of salt just made this not a great salsa. My dish came out pretty quickly and now came the real disappointment. Overall the dish lacked seasoning and I have once again lost my shaker of salt! The shrimp was spicy but it was in a sweet tomato based sauce which just became overwhelmingly one note as you ate it. Rice was nicely cooked but lacked seasoning. Refried beans were kind runny and also lacked any noticeable seasoning. The guacamole was good and fresh and definitely helped with the building spicyness and sweetness from the shrimp. Service was good, though was not offered a refill on my drink. Overall, would not return as there are too many good Mexican food restaurants in the area. read more

This was a second visit but the tacos al carbone were not great - I feel like they were insanely spicy and i could not pick up a single taco, the tortillas seemed to disintegrate into a mush immediately. I unfortunately wouldn't come back after this because the food was rough across the board. Seats have some holes and rips in them and there's better places to spend your money. I have never felt so rushed at a restaurant before. A half empty one at that. I tried to look at the drink menu when I sat down, the waitress stood over me instead of giving me a second to think. She even started shouting out options until I chose something. My friend and I were chatting, enjoying our drinks while looking at the menu. She continued to come over to ask if we were ready to order, even though it was obvious we weren't. Our food came out, and it was delicious, yet filling. We both had about half of our meals left on our plates. The waitress never bothered to ask if we wanted to take the food home and before we could even say we did, she had piled the plates on top of each other and put trash from the table on the plates. I don't know the reason for trying to rush us out of there, but the outcome is we will never return. read more

Yum, coming from California we've got our expectations when it comes to Mexican food. Our early dinner on a Saturday night was delicious. Warm chips and good salsa washed down the ice cold Dos Equis and mango margaritas. The draft beer was under $4 and the marg under $10. For entrees we had the camarones a la Diabla and the camarones a la plancha. Both were great. Service was sweet and fast and other front of the house staff chipped in to keep it movin. I think the owner even checked in with us who was enjoying a meal with his family. We'll be sure to come back the next time we're in the area. read more

Been going here for years, disappointed, waitress was rude, fruit fly in margarita pitcher when we sent it back they gave it back with a bug wing still in it, didn't even apologize for the literal bug in the drink, doubt they even remade it seeing as the wing was still in the pitcher. Came to this hole in the wall restaurant as a recommendation of my friend. We were seated right away on a Saturday afternoon by amiable staff. We shared a pitcher of margarita that we were able to make a custom mango and passion fruit fusion. The server said it 4 portions but we were able to get 4.5 servings. Well worth the cost compared to ordering individual drinks. For entrees, I forgot exactly what my friend got. It looked like a chicken enchiladas/burrito covered in a verte sauce, cheese, tomatoes and sour cream. I got a camarones Mexicanos plate. The shrimp were plump and tender that were simmering in a flavorful sauce. The bell peppers and onions were sautéed until soft served over a bed of rice and melted cheese on top. Every bit was tasty and exactly what I wanted after visiting the gun range and rock climbing. Would come again for the service and food. read more

We celebrated my Mom's birthday for a group of 14 recently. This place was fantastic! The food and drink quality was excellent. Our celebration was on a Saturday at 4 pm and it was a fun and lively place. Music was medium sound level which was good because I had to make a toast. The service was excellent, they were patient with my energetic 7 year old who kept jumping out of her seat and into the waiters path. We like coming here as the menu is authientic and diverse. However I find the food to be underseasoned and underwelming. My enchilada verde was missing salt and the "tang" that it usually has. Missing lime or tomotillo? Everthing needed salt and there was no S&P on the table. Service is friendly and accomidating. read more

I have been going here since they opened almost ten years ago?!?!?! Food was great but the atmosphere is tacky. Music was way too loud. When you cannot hear your server speak, that's a bad sign. The guacamole has gone downhill. The amount of tomatoes in the guacamole was overwhelming. It wasn't guacamole. It was salsa mixed with some avocado. It's not right to cheapen an expensive condiment. Don't stretch your food product and try to sell it as something it isn't. Makes me wonder if they water down their alcohol too. They added a gratuity into my check with no warning whatsoever. It was a party of three. No need to add a gratuity. The hostess said it was because the bill was over $100. If you have a policy like that, you need to inform the customer. I rarely look at my bills, but I needed to make sure our $10 coupon was applied-it wasn't. I doubt I will return. There are plenty of authentic Mexican restaurants closer to my home. read more

Not as good as my friend made it sound, although she was right about the margarita. While waiting for your food or to order, you get nachos and very plain salsa. I ordered the Deluxe Burrito and enjoyed it for the most part. Thought I would need salsa to add flavor or like my Taco Bell, I just like to drown burritos/tacos in hot sauce. But it was fine, all the flavors from the burrito just melted together. As for the not so Super Nachos, I was going to help my friend eat it, but noticed a lack of nachos. I have been dining at this restaurant for around 17 years and feel like I am part of their family! THE best Mexican food ever! The service is very fast and being prepared incredibly perfect. I enjoy going wild and ordering 4 ground beef tacos with sour cream or maybe ordering their many gourmet shrimp dishes. There are SO many options of authentic Mexican food. I was talking to someone at the bar being a very nice social place the ambiance is great! The person that I was speaking to remarked that previously they had lived in San Diego California and being very close to the border said that this food is the most authentic that they had. Over the weekend my family and I visited Mi Mexico Lindo located in Melrose Massachusetts. Walking in the ambiance was cozy. The host was really kind and we immediately got a booth. The chips and salsa were very tasty. Once we ordered our food was brought out in about 10 minutes so not too long or short I ordered a combination of two enchiladas and they were mediocre. The meat inside was very tasty but the sauce on the enchiladas was a little too sweet for my taste. Overall, our experience was pretty good I would recommend for traditional Mexican. read more

Food was delicious, I wasn't sure the restaurant was still here last time I was here was with my Mom and it tasted as good as the Mexican food in CA. She's been gone 12 yrs. So coming back from Boston my granddaughter wanted Tacos so I. went to yelp and said let's try this place, I was thrilled when we pulled up and it was the one Mexican restaurant I actually liked. I had the Fajitas and it was very tasty. The service was excellent we got there before the rush there were 2 lady servers working hard but always smiling and even though it got busy they still checked on us . Came here for the first time with my husband I asked for the shrimp plate that they say is with garlic and mushrooms but did not taste like garlic at all the beans were bland there pretty cheep with the rice if we are paying 15 dollars a plate we should have a good amount of food on our plate we had to order more rice my husbands plate only came with shrimp rice and salad we had to order beans on side the guacamole was ok had better we did not enjoy eating here will not be coming back read more

Have been here on two other occasions and stopped by for lunch with a friend around 1:15 p on a Friday. There were a few people at the bar and about five booths occupied. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess (which was different from my last dining experience here), shown to a booth and given menu's to peruse. The menu is pretty extensive with Lunch Specials on the back. Our waitress came over within 5 minutes to take our drink orders (tap water) and we ordered the guacamole to start as we continued to decide on our lunch options. Complimentary chips and salsa were served a bit before the guac arrived. The chips were warm and salsa was average ... we've had better. The portion of guac was generous but sadly it wasn't our best... too much lime and big chunks of tomatoes. My friend ordered the tortilla soup and me, the carnarones mexicanos (shrimp with special sauce, green peppers, mushrooms, onions over rice topped with cheese). The soup was contained a smoked chicken and was very tasty. Hot when served but it did cool off very quickly. Would have preferred possible a deeper (vs. wide) bowl which may help keep it hot throughout our meal. Would have also preferred half of the tortilla be served on the side and dropped in as we ate to avoid having them get so soggy at the end. The carnarones was served with about 6 medium shrimp cooked perfectly. Ample peppers, onions and mushrooms but I would have preferred a little less sauce. Our waitress was very friendly. Would return in hopes to have a better gauc experience. My friend has dined here many times and said this was her worst gauc experience at this restaurant. read more

This is a local favorite. Good Mexican food. We had margaritas and if you're so inclined you can have a pitcher. An appetizer a thing called cheese crispy... deep fried tortilla with melted cheese. Might not be authentic Mexican but damn it's tasty. We got sides thinking it would right amount. I got the Plato Chicano that said it was for small appetites. I am so full. Mexico Lindo is very authentic Mexican Food for a very good price as well. It is in a backroad in Methuen right on the Lawrence line so you would not see it unless you are seeking it out. I normally switch up my order when I go here. Enchiladas and Fajitas are my go tos however. The staff is very attentive and friendly. I ordered the steak and chorizo quesadilla and my plate was absolutely drowning in grease. I understand with chorizo that it's greasy but my food was soggy from the pond of grease in the bottom of the plate. My girlfriend got some tacos and wouldn't eat them because they tasted so bad. She was scared she would get food poisoning. Obviously the restaurant can't control this but I had a child constantly hitting the back of the bench throughout my entire meal. The queso was mediocre, salsa was runny, and the guac was not fresh at all. Do not recommend this place until they get there kitchen under wraps. We almost didn't find the restaurant because the address listed says Pleasant St, but the entrance is actually on the back side of the building off of Charles St. It would be nice to put a sign on the Pleasant St side to direct customers to the rear entrance. After about 10 minutes of looking for the entrance and crossing streets, we were happy to be seated immediately on a Sunday evening in one of the booths. There were only two servers working the room that night and just after us came in two large groups of 8 people. While it definitely slowed down our service, the server was still pleasant and did his best to take care of us. The sauces and seasonings are what make Mexico Lindo different from the rest of the Mexican eateries in the area. You'll notice it starting with the salsa, which is full of complex flavors. The enchilada sauce that came on my Expreso Burrito was a cross between a mole and a typical enchilada sauce. I really appreciated the chef's creativity. Overall, it's a solid restaurant with some inventive flavors... just enter on Charles St, not Pleasant. read more

My favorite Mexican restaurant! Full of colors and Mexican decor. Onsite bar along with live Mariachi singing for people every other week. Friendly staff and great service. Later in the evenings sometimes, the place does get pretty packed since it's that good but thankfully the wait isn't very long. Food is delicious along with their alcoholic drinks. They serve you free nachos with fresh, yummy salsa while you wait for your food and/or drink. Try their ultimate margarita pitcher with patron silver if you ever go for the first time with someone. We opened the door and there was one person sitting at the bar and 3 tables with customers. There was no bartender, wait staff or hostess to be found! Do not listen to these other reviews. I've grown accustomed to subpar New England Mexican food...but this place doesn't even give you a nice atmosphere to help soothe the pain. You are basically eating in a windowless basement with 7 foot ceilings. The service is slow, the prices are high, and the food is poor. I had the fajitas and the steak was flavorless. My wife's chicken tacos were flavored oddly and placed in stale corn tacos. The quac was straight of a fridge and very creamy--not fresh and mostly sour cream. The one star is for the stiff drink that helped get me through the meal. Do yourself a favor and drive down to Border Cafe in Burlington. It's worth the drive. read more
