When I got there (despite telling them when booking a reservation on their website that I needed an SUV(due to recent spine surgery making get in an out of a sedan very difficult) there wasn't any SUVs in their log, nothing but sedans! INCREDIBLY the emailed reservation confirmation even showed a photo of a Hyundia Kona! The shocking "take it or leave it" attitude was a surprise too. I asked the incredibly indifferent employee at the Lyndhurst location if he could call their Belleville lot if they had an SUV, and he read out the number and instructed me to call number myself. The Enterprise in Belleville told me they had SUVs, but when we got there the only SUV they had was an Equinox that was all-electric and out-of-charge, and it would have cost me $15.00 more to rent. My Jeep is at the dealer's as there was a recall, and Chrysler graciously offered to recompense me $50 a day for a rental, fortunately they will also consider renting from Avis, Hertz and Budget too. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and had answers to any question I asked. Made renting a vehicle from them very easy and pain free. I ended up using two vehicles and both were fine. They were clean and very nice. I went with a Nissan Altima and was very happy with it. The reason I needed two vehicles was because I ended up with a flat tire on the first one. When I reported that I had a tired going flat they directed me to come back to the shop. I had a new Altima and was back out on the road in twenty minutes. No problem at all. If you need a rental car I highly recommend them.

I had no choice and was desperate so I agreed but never again. Very disappointed. The Avis name just lost all value for me. Super close to the train station. I called in advance to ask for rates and to start the process of registration so I could go asap but they refused and now I see why. They wanted to lock me in at this ridiculous rate where I was stuck bc I already got there and no time or a waste of money to uber to another car rental. Went to the parking lot to pick up the car and there are so many cars here so there is no demand as it's not the weekend and they are not all booked obviously because I even asked a question, are these all rental cars and he said yes. And then on top of that of course the device itself for the tolls are seven dollars as a base and any toll that you incur. I felt so swindled and I wanted to tell them that I'm gonna Put in a really bad review because this place is not honest and not nice and not business friendly. Instead, it gouges you of your money. Unfortunately, the van's air conditioning stopped working during one of the hottest weeks of the year, turning what should have been a manageable trip into a very uncomfortable experience. As soon as I noticed the problem, I contacted Budget Roadside Assistance. Their first solution was for me to take the van to a repair shop. Although Budget offered to cover the repair costs, I declined because I was in the middle of a long-distance move and simply couldn't afford to spend hours taking their vehicle in for maintenance or waiting for repairs. The following day, Budget offered to replace the van and even send a crew to transfer all of my belongings. I genuinely appreciated the effort. However, when I asked for an estimated arrival time, they couldn't provide one. Instead, I was told to wait at least another hour just to receive an update, after which I would still have to wait for the replacement van and for the transfer of all my belongings. I was already at a hotel close to checkout time and needed to continue my trip. Waiting an indefinite amount of time wasn't a realistic option, so I completed the entire journey without air conditioning. I recognize that Budget made sincere attempts to resolve the issue, and every representative I spoke with was polite and helpful. My disappointment is not with the employees but with the contingency process. For customers in the middle of a cross-country move, the proposed solutions were simply not practical. I hope Budget improves its procedures so future customers facing a similar situation can receive faster and more effective assistance.

I advices him that I will be at the office at 11 or a little after 11. In addition I asked him what model of vehicles he had. He answered we have many, you have to come in and we will talk. I arrived with my daughter at 11. He was busy with a female client and he was the only person in the place. After waiting for 35 minutes it was my time. I refreshed his mind on our conversation and she state we don't have any vehicles. You have to comeback by 3/4 to see if we have any. ‍‍‍‍. He kept arguing with me that I was supposed to call him on my way there. Mind you I told him earlier after 11. He was extremely unprofessional. Poor customer service. Gets you going back and forth. No vehicles available. I gave it one star because the building and office is new. PS Hispanic male ,5'7, square head with long eyelashes. South American descents.
