Not even sure where to start...got referred to this place by BMW dealership to replace the driver…read moreside door that was completely damaged by trailer while I was parked. Instead of ordering a new unit to replace it with the body shop appears to have finagled a salvaged piece (while charging full price) and took over a month to do the work during which time we had to cover the rental expenses. More fun bits: - body shop called to say the work was done and car was ready to pick up - my Dad had to take a hour and a half train ride to get it only to find out they were still waiting on another part to finish the job...having to take a $50 Uber ride home after... - the "new" door has a worn down handle that is still leaving black residue on my hands, has obvious wheezing air leakage, and malfunctions electronically... TERRIBLE, dishonest service and product.

First time for me renting from this Hertz, and it could not have been easier and more pleasant…read more Different than most other branches, just a small counter in a small waiting room that is connected to a service/gas station. It's run by one single person, Francesca, who knows her stuff, is very friendly and fast, and would be in the Hertz of Fame if there was one. She definitely goes above and beyond to take care of a customer. Take note of all this, if anyone from Hertz brass is reading this, you want people like her. All in all it was a quick and smooth experience, which is how it should be, very happy with it. The only thing I was curious about (nothing at all to do with the service here at all), I was wondering why the daily insurance was almost three times what I usually pay at other branches. I have no idea if it a personal rate based on anything, or the state (I never rented from a NJ Hertz before), and while it was not high enough to be a deal-breaker (rental still cheaper than NYC where I'm from, and no hassle driving in that traffic), I did only rent for one day, but more days would add up fast, I was just wondering.

Have used this location a few times but most recently May 7, 2026. There was a considerable wait…read moreboth to pick-up and return the car (appx 15-20min). The office is extremely small which isn't a problem unless there are many people that are also waiting inside. Everything else went smoothly and the person that works there is nice. Details if you need to drop off the key and car outside of office hours is not clear. Check the gas prices at the station that is part of Hertz and save yourself time/money for filling up the tank.
