    11. Coconut Combo
    Jade L.

Walked here for dessert after a late lunch at nearby An Chi. I could smell coconut and pandan from a block away, so even though I was pretty full from lunch, I still wanted to try the dessert here. The ordering process is convenient with an in-store kiosk, and the service was surprisingly fast even with multiple orders for both dine in and take out in the queue. We got the coconut combo dessert, which was super yummy, refreshing, and not too sweet. The coconut jello strands at the bottom of the cup were a bit difficult to scoop up with a spoon so had to use a straw to slurp up the remnants.

Absolutely great place for Vietnamese Chè. There are many varieties of Chè. Anything from traditional Vietnamese sweet beverages, puddings, or dessert soups served hot, warm, or cold with ice, depending on the variety and region. Bambu serves them cold with ice and very colorful. I personally prefer them cold with pandan. We also like their pandan waffles. The service here is super friendly and the ambiance really welcoming. Located on Geary and 25th Ave.

Awesome! The Che is good. I felt like it was better than socal. I ordered the #3. Awesome Trio - 绝妙三重奏 and it was a nice amount of sweetness at 0%. Is it a drink or dessert? Both! It's delicious!

This review is long overdue (and I should have written it much sooner because YUM but I forget some details whoops!) The most important thing to me was that this place, this delightful delicious unicorn, offers pandan waffles, my greatest love! And there aren't many places that do (I have found; please direct me to them all!!). Hot, tasty, perfectly crunchy/chewy pandan waffles. Well, they only have one waffle maker and they are made to order, which takes some time. So maybe pandan waffle singular unless you love them as much as I do! I also had a tasty drink, and got great advice when I was having trouble deciding on that part. So many drinks to choose from! I am not an expert on these so I can't compare but...it was delicious and perfectly sweet at 25%. They were out of coconut pudding (around 5 pmish) when I visited so I still need to try that. Super friendly patient service. There was a line that didn't move all that quickly but a really hot day (so likely not always the case?). I haven't been back only because of travel/time/why can't this place be next to my apartment? Pretty please?

Awesome Trio with white bean, red bean, taro, coconut milk, pandan jelly, super delicious.

#13 Coconut combo regular size. Remember, you can adjust the sweet level. I almost forgot. Mine was no sweet. The amazing thing, I got real coconut meat. 6 lychee. Green pandan jelly in coconut water and shaved ice. It was good. My friend got #10 halo halo with ube ice cream. Expecting real taro, it was not found. Red bean yes. Coconut Milk yes. Oh well.

Walked in on a weekday afternoon and no line was present. Inside has some tables but it is a bit dark. Quick and easy to order. Got the #1 and it definitely hit the spot as a refresher. Pieces of coconut, pandan jelly, longan, and basil seeds in coconut water with shaved ice at the top. It could be seen as a bit pricey for a drink/dessert but it's worth it when you're craving something not too sweet but satisfying!

Drive from Oakland because I wanted a Vietnamese bean dessert cup (Che ba mau). 10/10. The menu has many options and it was very fun exploring.

Tried the summer delight drink. Really good. Interesting red tapioca which is crunchy like chestnut pieces. Panda waffle was very good. Crunchy on the outside, chewy inside.

#10 Bambu Favorite w/ Red beans, taro, coconut jelly, and coconut milk was a fantastic order for my girlfriend. Presentation is great! I also go the thai iced tea with boba, both adequate. Friendly and quick staff.

Best Ché and the freshest smoothies! I would love to try everything on the menu if I could. This would be such a cute place to do homework, there's a bunch of space to sit. We came right before closing I felt so bad, they were out out Smashed Avocado :,) but thats our fault. They were still super nice besides that, and our stuff still came out relatively fast. My Order: Smashed Avocado - They were sold out when I came but that's literally the best thing on their menu I swear. Strawberry Smoothie - Super fresh tasting, especially since it's strawberry season! Pandan waffle - I almost can't leave without getting at least half a waffle, it's so chewy and crunchy at the same time.

The order that full of options that I didn't want.
    Orawan S.

Stepped in when almost their closing time. They were out of Pandan jelly so I was understanding that. Okay for substitute with the item they have and asked for the order WITHOUT basil seeds and welcome to pay extra for substitute with coconut milk instead of coconut water. Paid almost $11 for the drink that I didn't ask for. They concern to go home more than make the right order. Could not explain about ambiance, really impressed that they offered so many books and game boards but so dusty.

I love Vietnamese desserts. And Bambu has the best ones! We got 4 drinks; the Taro Lover, #1 and #2. The lady in the front was really nice. Super friendly and helpful. She asked if we planned to eat it immediately or later, because that would determine where she would put the ice. The place is very clean and cozy. Love this Bambu location!

I actually discovered Que Viet through DoorDash and had everything delivered. I ordered the Deep-Fried Imperial Rolls (Cha Gio), Grilled Chicken & Chicken Imperial Roll Garlic Noodles (Mi Top Ga Nuong Cha Gio Ga), Grilled Pork Sausage Rolls (Nem Cuon), Vietnamese Shrimp Mini Crepes (Banh Xeo Tom), and the Grilled Pork Sausage & Sliced Pork Woven Vermicelli (Banh Hoi Nem & Thit Nuong). Yes... I spent almost **$100 for two people**. Looking back at the receipt, I had to ask myself, *"Is this place expensive, or am I just fat?"* Honestly... probably a little of both. Either way, it was one of the best $100 I've ever spent. If it's your first time ordering from Que Viet, do yourself a favor and get the **garlic noodles**. I know garlic noodles are everywhere these days, but these completely changed my expectations. They were perfectly cooked with an incredible bounce, packed with rich garlicky flavor, and the portion size was generous enough for leftovers (if you have the self-control). I also tried the **Banh Hoi Nem & Thit Nuong** for the first time, and it did not disappoint. One heads-up, though: it's generously topped with crushed peanuts. My friend has a peanut allergy, so thankfully we caught it before digging in. If you have any nut allergies, be sure to mention it when ordering. Every single dish arrived fresh, flavorful, and tasted like it had just come out of the kitchen despite being delivered. That's not something you can say about many places. If you ever find yourself in the city, you **need** to make a stop at Que Viet. This place has been living rent-free in my head ever since, and I already know I'll be back the next chance I get.

The tuna tartare served on crunchy taro chips was wonderfully balanced--honestly, my only wish was for a few more chips because the flavor was so good. For mains, the tender beef cheek over celeriac mash with crispy enoki mushrooms and the rich Thịt Kho mushroom dish were both hits. Pro tip: definitely order a side of rice to soak up all those rich, delicious sauces! We wrapped up with dessert: the Mango Crepe Cake and the Lychee Ice Cream with a warm Pandan Mochi Bar. Some dishes were better prepared than others, but overall, the food was solid across the board. If you enjoy making your own spring rolls, you'll love the grilled pork skewers. The pork is super tender and has such a incredible flavor profile of lemongrass, garlic, fish sauce, and more. Rolled up with the woven vermicelli noodles and fried wonton crisps in a rice paper, you get a wonderful combination of texture in a single bite. The other crowd favorite of the night was the bánh xèo -- the stuffed rice crepe. The bánh xèo here is by far the best one that I've ever had, even surpassing ones I had in Vietnam. The outside was insanely crispy and and was surprisingly not particularly oily, while the inside was loaded with fillings. Two other dishes that were well received by the group was the betel leaf wrapped grilled beef and the sugar cane shrimp. The beef had a very similar flavor profile as the pork, but the texture was a lot more lean. The shrimp had a bouncy, yet firm texture to it, and was very well-seasoned. My only qualm with the shrimp dish is that the sugarcane did not actually have any sweetness to it. There's fish sauce on the table along with a shrimp paste sauce, but to be honest, every dish we had was so flavorful on its own, the sauces aren't even needed. The only dish that we ordered that fell short was the grilled river shrimp. The presentation of the shrimp is impressive and very photogenic, but the flavor was lacking and the cook was inconsistent. Some people had shrimp that was undercooked -- borderline raw, and on the other end of the spectrum, others had shrimp that was so overcooked, that it was very difficult to remove the shrimp from the shell without completely tearing the meat. That said, everything else we ordered was well-prepared, and very tasty. Service was good throughout the meal, and I would definitely come back again for a meal with a large group. 4.5 experience rounding up to a 5.

We were among the first diners at 5 PM, but by the time we left an hour later, the restaurant was lively with all of tables on both floors filled. The menu was quite extensive, and I was having some internet connectivity issues with the digital menu, so I went along with what my friends were doing and ordered the soft shell crab banh canh. Our table also shared an order of the bahn khot as an appetizer. The food was brought out surprisingly quickly, and this was one of those cases where my eyes were bigger than my stomach. The banh canh was basically a feast in a noodle soup, which included tempura softshell crab, pork belly, another large piece pork, quail egg, carrots, and tapioca noodles. The broth was rich and spicy, and the fried shallot topping further elevated the flavor. While I usually wouldn't eat that much meat in a single meal, I loved how each component introduced a unique texture and flavor to the soup. The softshell crab was decadent, and I thought it was cool to serve it tempura-style. While I barely made a dent in my bowl of noodles, I took the rest home to enjoy for dinner the next day.
