The service was excellent. Our waitress, Alexis, was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite match the quality of the service. One detail that often reflects the overall quality of an Asian restaurant is the hot tea. In this case, the hot green tea was very watery and almost tasteless, which set the tone for the rest of the meal. The dishes themselves seemed to follow a similar pattern of ingredient imbalance. The ratio of noodles to protein felt off, with very little noodle compared to the amount of protein. At the same time, the seasoning leaned heavily on salt rather than balanced flavor. If you're looking for depth of flavor, this might not be the best choice unless you enjoy very salty dishes. We also tried the dumplings, which had a somewhat unusual texture. They were crispy on the outside, but the inside was very gummy and almost soggy, which made them difficult to enjoy. The contrast didn't feel quite right and took away from what could have been a good appetizer. Portion sizes were also fairly small for the price, which made the meal feel less satisfying overall. I would order this again. Good balance of flavors and meat and noodle ratio. Bbq pork lo mein: this surprised me. I loved it! Pork ribs appetizer: sweet and sour pork ribs that I thought were fine but would not order again. Shrimp and pork wontons with noodles: wontons were big but I was not a huge fan. My husband and I decided to go to bamboo noodle house after I drove by and saw the sign earlier this morning. For several years, we were big fans of El Chinito Gordo, the owners decided to close the restaurant and rebrand the space to offer a successful menu based on an another location in Tucson called Bamboo Terrace. I didn't look ahead at the reviews for the restaurant until we were actually at the restaurant and based on that ordered the Chow Fun Beef for dinner. My husband ordered the orange chicken and then we ordered appetizers as a starter. We had very prompt and attentive service and decided to have hot tea with our meal, choosing their jasmine tea, which was good. The restaurant was fairly busy, but we were seated right away and were able to get our drinks and appetizer order in and brought out to us in about five minutes. The handmade dumplings are advertised outside the building, and were like pork empanadas with a thicker dough and a good amount of poor filling, served with a garlic soy sauce. We then ordered our entrees which came out well timed to when we finished our dumplings. I very much liked my chow fun noodle dish, which has flat broad rice noodles that were about 1 and 1/2 inches long. The dish isn't much to look out but tastes delicious. The strips of beef were tender and were well seasoned. My husband ordered orange chicken, which had orange peel strips tossed in the dish. He expected some spice to the dish and so was disappointed overall with the flavor and felt the chicken was dry. Overall we had slightly different experiences, as I loved my entire, the handmade dumplings were okay, our jasmine tea was perfect. While my husband felt his entree was disappointing. The seats are metal chairs with cushions and the dining space is able to accommodate large parties. We were seated and finished our meal and left within an hour. Overall a positive experience as I'd happily return for my entree but for someone wanting spice the food was not spicy. There were a few families with children for dinner. Bamboo Noodle House seems a good place for Chinese inspired food. The family behind us was reading their Chinese animal year character features aloud, off the placemat. I remember doing the same thing as a kid myself; a good memory for me and I imagine a nice experience/meal for them too. I'm excited to return and try their wonton soup dishes. read more

This lo mein were thicker than what I'm used to so I like that a lot. We tried their crab ragoons and they were okay nothing fancy there. Tried this new spot and the inside is very small and casual. We got here in time for lunch special and ordered the $12 lo mein. The portions are lunch sized for sure - a little small but good for lunch. The soup I thought tasted a lot like campbells chicken noodle, so not my favorite. But the lo mein was good! If you like wasting your money on mid, Americanized Chinese food, this is the place for you! I came here about 2 months ago when the place first opened - my friends picked this place out because they saw influencers on TikTok say it was good. Let me preface this review by mentioning I am second generation Asian American. So yes, I grew up around actual good Chinese food, and my stance is going to be based on that. If you're a person that considers orange chicken to be your favorite Chinese dish, you can ignore this review, as you will probably have an alright experience at this place. Food was simply bad. Bland flavors. Portion size was also terrible. Before I ordered a noodle soup (about 20 bucks after tax), I asked the waitress how big it is. She told me it feeds two people... did she mean two adolescent children? I promise I'm not a big back, this twenty dollar soup entree was essentially an appetizer. Also the kitchen has no Asian workers. Essentially just Edgars. Again, do not come here expecting authenticity in the flavors. Ambiance was fine. Location was terrible - in the hood. Hopefully this review saves some people from wasting their money. If you want actual good Chinese food here in Tucson for a cheaper/same price, I'd suggest Noodleholics or Juns Dynasty. read more

Had to stop by and try this place. Saw all the hype on social media and decided to check it out. We were greeted and shown to our table, this was the highlight of the visit. It all went downhill from there. There were maybe 6 tables of people, so restaurant was half empty. They had a million staff filling soy sauce bottles and cleaning tables that were always clean, and we sat there for over 15 minutes and no one came to our table. I went and asked the hostess if our server was ever gonna come, well 3 minutes later she comes to our table apologizing. Already they started off like crap, then we checked out the menu. There is literally 15-20 things on the menu, I had to flip the menu and see where the rest was. They had soups, fried rice and lo mein and a couple other dishes. No variety at all, so we ordered ice teas, crab puffs, egg rolls and three dishes, the sesame chicken, the chow fun and the lo mein. All of it came out, the crab puffs and egg rolls were drenched in oil, it was pooling on the plate and they tasted like oil. Totally unappetizing, then the lo mein and sesame chicken are super small portions and tasteless. The only good one was the chow fun. We let the server know the food was below par and that this is no where like their parent restaurant bamboo terrace. Horrible service, sloppy tasteless food and we got one refill on tea. What a joke. Don't fall for the influencers that get their meals free just to post how delicious things are. I know one thing for sure, once you try it. You won't want to try it again. I had high hopes for this place but it fell super short. I'd rather eat at Panda Express than here and I hate panda express Oh well, that's the last time I fall for these stupid influencer videos. I'll stick with the good places around town, like badar or bamboo view. What a complete let down, I may go back just to make a TikTok of it to show you how in fact it's all hype and they food is gross and the service is horrible. It was a rainy afternoon, in which their cozy dining setting made perfect for. Greeted by my server, I believe her name was Alexis, in a timely manner. She was very personable, even started us off with ice waters before beginning. Always a plus! I opted to get a lunch special entree, which was decently portioned for a good price. The Cantonese style chow mein was excessively salty and I am one to enjoy a well seasoned dish but this was overwhelming. Then I proceeded to order a fried rice with chicken, can't be too hard to mess up. I received the fried rice and the rice was not cooked, it was crunchy. Yes I understand it was fried rice but this was not fully cooked rice with the rice grain still being crunchy and not fully cooked. This restaurant was overhyped and underwhelming. I'll just stick to Jun Dynasty. Also service was absolutely terrible, manager wouldn't even come to the table to see what the problem was. The sesame chicken flavor was good but the chicken was tough/chewy. The dumplings tasted doughy and the crab puffs were 95% cream cheese. With the exception of the spicy beef noodle soup everything was almost room temperature. My family and I recently visited this restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. After being seated, we waited approximately 10 minutes without anyone coming to our table to greet us or offer drinks. No server was assigned to us, and no one checked in during that time. To make matters worse, guests who were seated after us at the table next to ours were promptly greeted and asked for their drink orders while we were completely overlooked. I eventually went to the front desk to let them know that we had not been helped. We were told someone would be sent over, but after waiting an additional five minutes with still no acknowledgment, we decided to leave. As a customer bringing my girlfriend and two daughters out for a meal, I expected at the very least basic service and attentiveness. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. Portions are small. Tasted overly salty. Chicken fried rice was good, the rice was not hard or crunchy. I was most excited to try the boba drinks advertised on Instagram. I ordered a large expecting it to be the same one from Instagram, but was extremely disappointed because it was a size smaller than I anticipated. Lots of ice rather than tea.
