Best dive bar in richmond and the food is amazing..the steak and cheese is my favorite!

Yes.

Chicken Béarnaise was so good I almost kissed the guy next to me at the bar. And that's all I've gotta say about that.

Hey fellow Yelpers, Happy New Year and looking forward to another year of great food and fellowship with you all! First up @bamboocaferva bamboocaferva So now I know why they are always packed and for sometime now that's why we never got a chance to go but a couple weeks ago we saw our opportunity and so glad we went! There was a booth available and even with the growing crowd our waitress was top tier, she took time to give us her recommendations, paced our visit to ensure our food was piping hot! Cute little corner neighborhood style restaurant which is definitely a staple in the Fan. With that being said Mimi was on #carriebradshaw and ordered a Cosmopolitan (4/5), "big girl drink" that packed a punch, the vodka was definitely at the party, and to eat she ordered the special :Sea Bass with Fresno chili chimichurri over oven roasted potatoes (5/5) fish prepared and seasoned perfectly where the chimichurri was a perfect accompaniment and the potatoes were well seasoned and crisp. It came with your choice of starter and she chose the vegetable soup (2/5) it lacked salt but the veggies were tender. After some suggestions from our lovely waitress I opted for the steak and cheese (4/5) well seasoned and tender steak on an amazingly soft roll, good size overall a good sando and upgraded to the onion rings which are all the rave in the foodie groups and as an onion ring connoisseur I will definitely agree (5/5) perfectly seasoned and fried and the onion was not stringy and it remained in its batter after biting into them, I need more, . Righteous If you haven't gone yet: go! I will be back to try brunch. #foodielife #onionrings #seabass #steakandcheese #cheesesteak #chimichurri #rvafoodscene #latenight #dinnertime

Not only is Bamboo Cafe a great bar, the food is outstanding! It's my favorite place to get a steak in Richmond.

Walked in to this dive bar with a New York City vibe. Surprisingly has extremely tasty food. Very competitive for taste given that many restaurant workers frequent. The sweet potato fries are the best I've ever had

I am blown away. I came here after going to Circuit and playing video games until 10pm. I didn't realize that this charming little bar in the fan would have AMAZING food too! The staff is very sweet and attentive and it's open late. It's a great spot to go to when you're not ready to call it a night with your pals. I went with a group of 5 and everyone ordered something different. I highly... HIGHLY recommend their Mac and cheese! They're known for it. It's absolutely insane! They use 4 different cheeses including Gouda and elbow noodles with bread crumbs on top. Everyone was eating off of my plate. My boyfriend had the French dipped sandwich with au jus and wouldn't share. Absolutely incredible. On a night that I didn't plan on eating, I'd be content just sitting at the bar and having a few drinks. Definitely my new favorite in the fan!

This is a true neighborhood bar. Definitely a dive, but great service and cheap drinks. I came here after work when another local joint was too crowded, and we ended up staying for hours. As soon as we walked in an older gentleman was saying a boisterous goodbye to his friends. He tottered outside and, too drunk to ride his bicycle, unsteadily leaned on it and walked home just around the corner. No one batted an eyelid, and we knew we were in the right place. It's definitely cozy and run down inside, but in the best way that local institutions often are. The set up is simple: one dark wood bar with stools, a narrow aisle, tables with checkered plastic cloths and seats with rips in the upholstery, and two single stall bathrooms that don't lock in the back. You could picture some crusty sailors feeling right at home here, but the crowd was surprisingly diverse. There were only two bartenders and one server working, but we were still greeted with a smile immediately and given menus. We didn't order food, but it looked and smelled really good. There's a small but decent beer selection and a full bar of spirits, and the server never once let us hit the bottom of our glasses before appearing and asking if we'd like another.

Great dive bar indeed. But with much better food than you find in a bar. And the liquor is not left in the bottle when they make a drink.

Only street parking is available, but it wasn't too difficult to find a spot. The atmosphere: Very rustic vibe with some farmhouse-style decor. They have table, high-top, bar, and patio seating available. The food: I opted for the Chicken and Waffles with a side of cheese grits. I chose to make it hot for more spice. It's served with one whole waffle, two large pieces of fried chicken, and syrup on the side. The chicken was not seasoned as much as I hoped and wasn't as spicy as I expected, which was a bummer. The cheese grits were alright as well, but not as flavorful as I hoped. My partner ordered the Double Barrel Bowl, and he really enjoyed it. It was packed with pulled pork and was plentiful and filling. The service: Great and kind service from Mave (I believe that is her name but I'm not entirely sure). She informed us about the daily specials and was attentive throughout our visit.

Always a wonderful event when I get to go to Beauvine…read more Burgers are delicious, juicy, and filling, and not to mention the duck fat fries that inevitably end up on my plate! I've always had a pleasant time dining in, the staff has always been attentive to refill my drinks, and they always are willing to entertain a conversation with me, or entertain me with their conversation. Beauvine, in my opinion, is a staple of Richmond's food scene and is a MUST to anyone new or visiting the city and wants a fantastic, and reasonably priced, burger. With all that said, I think the name needs to change, Beauvine Burger isn't just a concept anymore, it's an entire thought.

If I remember correctly, their kitchen stays open until 2300 or 2330, which was nice. They have a lot of tables and chairs along bar seating. The bartenders that waited on us were polite, but it did take them forever to come back and check on me. I was going to order another drink, but because it took them quite a bit of time to get back to me, I ended up not forgoing the extra drink. I ordered a Bellytimber burger with a side of onion rings and a Beauvine's mule with raspberry flavor. My friend had ordered wings with a Modelo. My burger and onion rings were good, but my mule wasn't strong enough for me. It tasted quite watered down. The wings, my friend said, was alright. Overall, my experience was okay. I wouldn't mind coming back, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way.

The patio is covered and has 2 heaters. We walked into the bar and the bartender directed us outside where our server came out and got us waters. She helped us turn the heaters on and got us settled as we waited for the rest of our family to arrive. For apps, we ordered the Fried Oysters and the chicken tenders with BBQ sauce. The chicken tenders came with fries as well. The oysters were good, nice and crispy. The tenders were also delicious, especially with the BBQ sauce. The fries, while they looked crispy, were just a tad soggy for my taste. For our entrees, I ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich and my husband ordered the cubano. Our family ordered salads with salmon. Everything looked delicious and was fairly quick to come out. My sandwich came with ranch and it definitely helped tone down the saltiness of the Fried chicken. Just eating the chicken alone was too salty and I had asked for my fries extra crispy which were amazing. The cubano sandwich was good and well made and the side of Brussels my husband got were also crispy. The salads and the salmon looked good, definitely cooked well. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. The person who helped bring out our drinks also ended up bringing out some bacon for our dog and was so kind. The patio is dog friendly but I would recommend brining a towel or mat for your pup to lay on. Overall, great service and good food!

This is the restaurant in the lobby of the Omni, and their room service menu has a really solid variety. Appetizers, soups and salads, sandwiches, fish, chicken, steak, seafood, other meat options, plus plenty of sides and desserts. There's something for whatever mood you're in. For my appetizer I ordered the fried green tomatoes. I'm very picky about fried green tomatoes because if they're not done right, they can be greasy and heavy. These were not. They were thick wedges of firm green tomatoes in a light batter, stacked with a spread of pimento cheese and finished with a drizzle of honey. The balance of savory and sweet worked really well, and the texture was exactly what I look for -- crisp outside, tender yet firm inside. For my entrée I chose the roasted lamb rack. It came as two double ribs over a sweet potato purée that had a subtle hint of cinnamon -- really nice flavor without being overpowering. The lamb was cooked to the right temperature, juicy and tender, with a light chimichurri and vegetables alongside. I also ordered the grilled corn succotash as a side -- corn, beans, and tomato. It was fresh and bright and complemented the richness of the lamb perfectly. This is my second time dining here. The first time I had breakfast out on the Westham Porch, and both experiences have been very pleasant. The service has been consistent, the food is thoughtfully prepared, and it's a great option whether you're dining downstairs or ordering up to your room.
