I ordered Dorie Greenspan's Chocolate Cake with ice cream. The sauce contained alcohol, so I asked for it on the side, which they were happy to do. I ended up enjoying the chocolate cake with the ice cream, and it was really good. My husband ordered the Rocky Road, which I know is a popular dessert there, but we both thought it was just okay. The restaurant itself is really cute and had a great atmosphere. It was pretty busy when we went, which definitely gave it a lively feel. Overall, I'm glad I got to try Fête, but based on the pastas and desserts I've had elsewhere, it wasn't a personal favorite. The chocolate cake was definitely the standout for me!

The temp on each was given to the wrong person, which needed to be right since 1 person didn't get the roasted pot. The medium-rare one was cold. Like COLD. Strange. Overall think they fell a little short on the food. Some things GREAT, some thing the opposite, so balanced out. Will I go back? Of course, but now I know what not to get.

They were out of Stella so settled for a Japanese Pilsner, which was surprisingly better than expected. Daughter ordered their Mac and cheese with chix. Sad to say it took a long time to get our food and had to constantly look back attempting to get our server's attention for refills of my beer and checking on when our food order would arrive. Daughter commented we should have sat at the bar. They seemed to get beverage orders much quicker and I imaging food as well. If there is a next time, sitting at the bar is the plan. Better yet, find a better place with better service.

Maybe hardly anyone orders it or she was new and learning? It did take a while for me to get my coffee. The waiting area is quite small so there wasn't much room for me to go anywhere. Overall, the drinks have been good with a variety of seasonal drinks and specials as well. I'll probably return for my coffee fix as it seems to be one of the few coffee shops in the area open on Sundays. Happy Drinking!

This gem, nestled in the Rainbow Tower, offers a stunning oceanfront view of Waikiki Beach, and I was thrilled to learn that reserving a spot guarantees an oceanfront table--a promise they delivered on beautifully. The restaurant is open daily from 7:00 AM to 9:30 PM, making it a great spot for breakfast, dinner, or anything in between. The service was nothing short of outstanding. Our server was attentive, warm, and truly elevated our dining experience. They even left the pot of coffee at our table, which was a delightful touch. Wifey & I ate there tonight and I was very unhappy. I love food and I love good food. We wanted frozen drinks but they did not offer any so we just had water. Bill was 221.00 for the 2 of us and no drinks and no desserts. We were the second couple to be seated with a 5pm reservation. Bread came out room temp with frozen butter. I hate that... Get a clue people, stop serving frozen butter. If your going to charge as much as you do, server hot fresh bread. It will make a difference. Wife ordered shrimp cocktail. Shrimp was good but the sauce was terrible but that was just a preference issue, but they should offer regular cocktail sauce as an alternative. I had the Abalone Rockefeller and it was room temp... not warm but room temp. I questioned the waitress if they serve it room temp or hot, she snapped at me and said it was served hot and twisted her head fast and walked off. She did not ask me if mine was room temp nor did she give a darn. That ruined the rest of my dinner. Then I received a 68 dollar way over priced steak and wife had 58 or so lamb. 2 sides were ok. no desert and my bill was 221.00. I left 20 dollar tip and felt that was too much. I usually tip 30% but I just couldn't do it. How dare her treat me like that and not care about the customers experience. So I must say, stay away so the company can't make it. Then Hilton will change the business that is renting that space and get a good Steak & Seafood restaurant in there. I had reservations about choosing this restaurant for a party of nine, but went ahead with it specifically for the fireworks. Unfortunately, the experience fell well short of expectations. The restaurant appeared to be undergoing renovations on the first floor, and we were seated in an awkward area next to wine refrigerators that felt more like a hallway than a dining space. When I asked about the seating, the hostess casually responded that they had other reservations, which came off dismissive rather than accommodating. Our server was visibly unhappy from the start--impatient, unapologetic, and even made a snarky remark when we weren't ready to order immediately. That alone set a negative tone for the evening. Adding to the disappointment, a mandatory 20% gratuity was applied despite the poor service. The steaks were overcooked, though I will say the lobster tails were good. As for the fireworks, visibility from the balcony was very limited--definitely not the experience we were hoping for. I searched online to find new restaurants in Honolulu to take my wife for her birthday dinner. I wanted something nice, with both a great location and great food. Cost was not really a factor. There was a lot of buzz around Bali with it reopening recently, so I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, we were sorely disappointed. The good: - Beautiful location above the beach at Waikiki - Easy parking with Valet The bad: - Had to wait a really, really long time for the food after the salads and appetizers (probably a little over an hour). - Service started out well, but the waiter made a few snide remarks about throwing away food after my wife sent back a salad that wasn't wanted. A good friend hosted a lovely Christmas dinner at the Bali with 13 guests. We had the best experience that started with being greeted at the entrance by a lovely manager Katy who escorted us to our private room. On the way we saw the most remarkable sunset. Our culinary evening included cocktails, appetizers, dinner and desserts. All were delicious because of Chef Atsushi who we were honored to meet! The ambiance and fireworks lit up our night. The best part of the night was amazing service by Kris and Ricky. Their attention to each of us and our host was impeccable! We loved this place, my wife and I live here and this was worth the trip to town. Honestly, we love eating at home but this was a treat. They had gluten free options left and right, and my wife was able to eat shrimp cocktail without being posioned! They had a mango cocktail sauce made in house, I had a great drink and we also ordered the scallops. I will say you better be ready to spend a bit but it's presented great, the Tomahawk is what we chose and it comes ala carte, it should include sides but hey what can you do? We will be back, but you can cook this steak at home for half the price and get it at Costco! read more

The menu was fixed price, and for what you received, it wasn't worth the price. I tend to prefer something a little bit more modern, but it was nice. I inquired at the check-in if the baby back ribs were beef or pork. I was told they were beef, however I was sorely disappointed when they arrived and they were actually pork because I do not eat pork. The edamame hummus was enjoyable with the chips and veggies on the side. Although, the restaurant offered to let me order something else, the evening was late and I simply moved on with less dinner than what I anticipated having. The sunset was pretty. I was hoping for some views of palm trees in the sunset, but nonetheless, I enjoyed the evening.

Now we had the choice of either eating our hot appetizers (and who wants to eat cold chicken wings?) or letting our entrees get cold while we ate the wings. Speaking to our server about our displeasure really gave us no satisfaction. She basically shrugged that that sometimes happens. We had specifically asked for the wings to come our as our appetizers. She told us that Japanese diners like to share their plates so they are used to bringing everything out at once. I have to say, I understood what she was saying but she did not have any empathy with our frustration at having to eat cold food. So here's my tip: go to Goofy's. The food is really really good. But if you order an appetizer, make it very clear to your server that you want that to come our well before your mains. Also, to Goofy's: a little empathy can go a long way to defuse a perceived slight by a customer.

At $15, it may seem pricey at first, but I'd absolutely order it again because it was that good. My biggest recommendation: don't throw away the pineapple! A big Thank You shout out to Koko At Kaila General manager "Cesar" and Assistant General manager "Bonnie" for scheduling and accommodating us with a semi-private area for our surprise birthday celebration. The breakfast buffet selection was excellent and everyone enjoyed the food and the experience in making their own waffles and having a custom chef prepared omelettes and along with all the "onolicious" entrees. Also thank you "Cesar" for having your baker prepare a delicious chocolate haupia birthday cake to celebrate our mom's/grandma's 99th birthday. Thank you to all the wonderful staff workers that assisted our family, friends and guest. They were extremely professional and friendly and made this celebration for our mom/grandma very memorable. Lastly, just sharing what mom/grandma said....she just wanted to enjoy breakfast brunch at Koko At Kaila with immediate family not knowing it was a surprise party for her with extended family and friends.
