Went right after the party to show her the picture of the cake. Owner agreed that there should have been flowers on it. She got the number of the person who ordered the cake. We have been a long time customer. Many birthday cakes were purchased here. Chocolate silk cake is my daughter's favorite. It was a little different this time around. My daughter's slice has a hair in it. At first I thought it was from her's but after looking at it closer and I was able to pull it out of the slice of cake itself. This is clearly not my daughter's. My daughter's hair could not be embedded in the cake and icing. Yuck. She did not want the rest. She was completely grossed out. Well how can you blame her? I do believe this may be an off day for them but they do need to ensure the employees wear their hairnets properly all the time. This is making me think twice. read more

Favorite place to satisfy my carrot cake fix. I have tried carrot cake from so many different places over the years, and this little bakery knocks it clear outta the park. There are so many great things about the carrot cake here. First thing is the shredded coconut that they mix into the cake batter. It creates a texture explosion in something that's usually pretty one dimensional. Second is how airy and moist their cake is compared to the dense ones at many of the other places. Third is that cream cheese frosting. Oh~ I would honestly attack anything that has that frosting on it... They recently changed the name from Just Desserts to Baking Grace. OMG!!! ..... I finally found my new replacement bakery. I have been using a store-chain bakery for as long as I could remember, but a gut feeling made me search for another bakery. I am used to having to call at least a day in advance for a specialty cake order. When I called Baking Grace I explained what I wanted and she asked me would I like to order it? I made sure she understood it was for today (actually in like 3 hours), she was fine with it and was ready on time. Now let me try to describe how this cake is. The cake part is extremely fluffy and tastes fresh. I asked for whipped cream instead of buttercream, and it as light as air. There were fresh strawberries and cream as the filling, and we all haven't had anything like it. The only downside is their hours, they close at 5pm which makes me have to fly over there after work for a pick up. read more
