But it's incredibly fresh (no matter what time of day you go), the line moves super fast, and the staff is so friendly. Literally every single thing I've tried here has been so, so good. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. What I typically do is just ask what's fresh out of the oven and go with that. A lot of the time they offer $1 coffee with any pastry, so it's a no brainer. For me, must tries are the chocolate babka, blue cheese brioche, and cinnamon babka. The bread taste really fresh and soft. I also really liked the Lox Bagel which had garlic flakes on top of the bagel which went well with the bagel. The servers there were nice and the place was loud so it would not be a good place to study or go to have a conversation with friends. It's truly heaven. My husband has high baked goods standards (he used to work in a bakery), and he makes me stop by to get this every time I'm in the city. The chocolate babka is a close second for us. The other babkas are not as good (skip the raspberry one for sure), as they can skew a little dry. I've also tried their cheese bourekas (flaky and rich), their baguettes (perfect), and their smoked salmon sandwich on challah (very tasty and the perfect sandwich to bring for a picnic in Boston Public Garden).
