This place is so special. You can have a lot of fun here and exploring different pastries. We came here after walking around and getting lunch. We got one of everything and everything was delicious.

A true hidden gem. Super authentic and low prices. I was overwhelmed by the assortment of sweets and breads, it was hard to narrow down our choices. The layered cake that I bought was delicious, it tasted like buttercream and toffee... really light and delicious. Almost didn't want to leave a review so that it stays a "hidden gem" but it's a great neighborhood staple!

The entrance area was a bit narrow, with register to the right and shelves with lots of yummy looking items. I appreciate they put the labels in English, even though I still didn't understand what everything was, since not all of them had labels. There were lots of "locals" (mostly Russians) shopping baked goods and sweets. After you passed the register counter, the store becomes much larger, with refrigerated items (mainly cakes) on the left, and all sorts of baked goods on the right, back, and in the middle. The selection was endless, I saw some bread, cookies, rainbow cake (?) and so much more. They had huge plastic bags and containers, and you can fill them with the items of choice, as they are sold by pounds. Most of them were &6.99 per pound, and you get pretty good amount, since they are not heavy. We bought some sweets and their famous sour cream cake, which was incredible! I really enjoyed the entire experience here at this bakery. Everyone was sweet, including local customers.

I love this place. Great cheesecake desserts. Very reasonable prices. Lots of yummy choices. Very friendly staff and they have lemons for your tea. A rarity elsewhere.

The whole apple wrapped in pie crust was only $1.50....??? I couldn't resist so I gabbled into the pie. Unfortunately it didn't deliver. I think it was the crust. It didn't have buttery flavor and need some more sugar sprinkles over the pie or something. Whole apple wrapped pie had good crust but the apple inside was too mild in flavor. I will not get that next time. Apple strudel (they cut it for how much we want. I got about 3 inches cut) was good as any good place in the city minus price. The apple tasted sweet and tangy (good). The rolled poppy seeds pastry was good. A whole apple pie, apple strudel and poppy seeds pastry came to a total of $3.29. I asked what those yummy looking things (see my images...) were but she only spoke Russian. This town makes me want to learn Russian. This place was different and unique enough that I'm a fan (4 stars).

Fantastic bakery with a very broad selection. Coffee and a couple of tables available. Awesome Russian run bakery. Prices are very good. Worth a visit.

Amazing Russian pastries, cakes and anything baked!!! A sweet tooth heaven. Everything is freshly made and the entire bakery is eye candy for days. They have the best bulachki c makam (a poppy seed roulette $1.50) in all of Brighton Beach that's is big enough to feed two people. And they have a plethora of mouth-drooling cakes towards the back of the shop.

Heading out for some decadent Russian desserts? Or bread? Bakery La Brioche is a very good choice. We got a large round loaf of brown bread, pine nut lace cookies and a chocolate dessert. The bread is delicious - great texture with crunchy/chewy crust and flavorful inside, moist, not too dense and not dry. The cookies were filled with little pine nuts, delicately textured with just a touch of sweet. The chocolate dessert was, well, think "Ho Ho"s have grown up. Covered in cocoa with a drizzle of chocolate and filled with chocolate richness somewhere between cake and mousse, not too sweet either - a plus for me! Go and enjoy!

We ordered one strawberry and one strawberry banana crêpe. They were filled with strawberries and bananas, and the outside was drizzled with glorious Nutella, which is a hazelnut chocolate sauce . The texture of the crêpes were absolutely perfect and that was the part I was most craving. I also loved the Nutella part. The banana and strawberry not so much as to me that didn't really have much of a taste, but maybe that was because the rest of it was super flavorful and over powered the fruit. All good and definitely satisfied my crêpe craving, but next time I would stop by to enjoy their desserts in person. The Kunafa looks particularly wonderful and has definitely peaked my curiosity.

Having a dessert spot in the neighborhood that is open late night and is serving flavors of our culture is nothing short of a dream come true. Not so great for my weight loss goals, though haha. Thank you, Moose. I came in here, and the place was absolutely buzzing, with groups of people enjoying their late night desserts- a testament to how much we needed this spot to just open and thrive and exist. I don't personally like cream Kenafa so I haven't really tried anything off their menu yet, but the Dubai chocolate crêpe is really calling out my name, and I am just going to bite the bullet and try it one of these days. I did go in to sample their Dubai chocolate. As a chocoholic, I am on a low-key search for the best Dubai chocolate bar in the city. This bar did not disappoint. The filling to chocolate ratio was perfect. However, I do feel that there is an over balance of crispy kanafa in the filling. I think it could use more pistachio cream and be a little on the runnier side. Can't wait to come back and try that crêpe. Until I am able to make that trip back, do stop in and enjoy a sweet treat in this cute little dessert shop. It's also Palestinian owned so you know you are supporting the right people and the right cause while satisfying that sweet tooth craving. What more could a customer ask for?

Anyway, I was in Brooklyn with my brother to see a concert and had just finished dinner. We had some time before doors opened so we decided to grab a little ice cream before heading over to the venue. Farmacy was steps away - it all seemed like it was meant to be, so off we went. Farmacy aims to capture the nostalgia of an old fashioned soda shop and ice cream parlor. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by aesthetics - the tile, fixtures, and decor totally give off that vibe. There are a few tables to sit as well as a large bar area with stools; I also noticed a few tables set up outside as well. The traffic flow is set up so that you order first and then have it served to you after sitting. Browsing the menu, I noticed they have a selection of ice cream scoops, shakes, egg creams, specialty sodas, hot chocolates, and a large variety of sundae creations. Since we were there for ice cream, we decided to split a sundae -specifically the Sir Twix-a-Lot. This was chunks for shortcake tossed in caramel and topped with vanilla ice cream that was coated in a chocolate shell. Overall I thought the sundae was solid - but the combinations of textures weren't my favorite to be honest, mostly with how the shortcake played with the ice cream. It wasn't bad though - the flavors definitely gave the Twix aesthetic. My only other issue with the dish was that because chocolate shell was used, any residue at the bottom was hard so you have to chisel it if you want to savor any last spoonfuls; I guess that comes with the territory. Service was good - everyone was friendly. It wasn't too busy when we were there so we had our selection of seats and our ice cream was ready pretty quickly. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried Brooklyn Farmacy out - they have a large selection so I would definitely return when I'm in the area again.

Seating space (not a lot of it, so I imagine it can get packed on busy times) and bathrooms on premises. Hot chocolate was delicious. We got the spiced dark chocolate and the spices were overwhelming. Get dark chocolate without spices. The extra dollar for marshmallow made the chocolate even sweeter, so it was overwhelming and I wouldn't recommend. But. The extra dollar for whipped cream would be nice because the their homemade whipped cream isn't sweet, so it will just thicken up the drink and give you that extra texture oooomph that you'll appreciate. Torino cafe is basically coffee added to any hot chocolate of your choice. That was tasty with dark chocolate. You definitely tasted the coffee and it was less thick than regular hot chocolate (which was on a thinner, sippier side). You can sample ice cream to make your selection. It's all very sweet, so if you're looking for a less sweet option go with Belgian dark chocolate flavor. For a $18 banana split you get three scoops of ice cream and a caramelized banana. The saffron soft serve reminded me of the leftover milk from ras malai turned into soft serve, which was interesting and nostalgic. The masala chai and cherry cardamom were more subtle than I hoped.
