Weekends are busy so it's best to make reservations. Food was good but service was ok. Place seemed casual and intimate.

Went here Wednesday around 5 pm for Happy Hour and their Burgers and Bourbon night. It was busy at this time, but we didn't have a wait for a table. To drink, I ordered the Harvest Sangria (10/10) I loved the flavor and fizz. I did taste the Blackberry Bourbon and felt like it was overly strong and didn't have an actual blackberry flavor. To eat, I ordered a Maple Bacon Smash Burger (9/10) it was cooked well, fresh, and flavorful. Only thing missing was it not having a lot of sauce on it because it was a tad bit dry. I ordered some ranch on the side. Def will be back again! My overall rate of experience : 8/10

This is a restaurant that I really wanted to like. But my expectations weren't met with the food. On a frigid day the server first said the has no coffee of any kind, that they got it from somewhere else. Now what Breakfast, Brunch & Dinner spot doesn't have coffee? Later he came back and said they had gotten some. Very strange. The menu was extensive. I was torn between the Pastrami Benedict and the Pastrami Hash, both was which were billed as being from Carnegie Deli in New York. I asked him if it really came from Carnegie and he confirmed. I settled on the Hash, which I now regret. The hash wasn't like a hash I had ever eaten. The pieces were large with a three egg covering, which I ordered medium but were actually well. The pieces of what must have been pastrami were crunchy. It appeared to have been a dish prepared hours earlier that has sat too long. The service was good except for the server having forgotten the coffee refill we had asked for. He had to be reminded. The decor was lovely. The granite table top where we were seated was the same pattern as one of my bathroom vanity choices. The booth was padded and quite comfortable. I was surprised to see in their bathroom the same fixtures I used in mine. It was a comfortable, happy feeling place which appeared to be popular with those who live in the area. The location is in an outer parcel of Greenbrier Market Center, a large shopping area on the southwest corner of Greenbrier & Volvo Parkways. My rating is 2.5 rounded up to 3. I won't try the eatery again.

Great food, great service. This family friendly restaurant is on my top 3 favorites to dine at. We tried different items on the menu last night, we were not disappointed ... absolutely delicious!

Brunch with a quiet atmosphere this definitely the place for you to unwind and enjoy a relaxing breakfast. Super impressed with the service here our server was absolutely wonderful and made us feel welcome and very friendly with us and we set outside not bad at all and she very attentive to make sure we were good which was extra plus very fast with service here not a long wait at all on weekday. And they have special throughout the week for those who like to dine in on a weekday and enjoy some tasty bites. They did have a good selection when it came to their food for brunch and of course drinks as well. I got there buttermilk pancakes very classic and light not to heavy and breakfast potatoes those were a show stopper definitely the best I have so far at brunch spot. For drinks I tried their summer sangria I appreciate them adding real fruit and making It outside its traditional appearance and it was fruit forward and sweet where it was just right. The server was super sweet she gave a surprise sweet treat for the holiday as it was our first time trying out the restaurant was very thoughtful and nice and we will be more regulars here and I would highly recommend this place if you want more of a calm relaxed brunch experience.

I had the Riviera French Toast with fresh fruit and it was great. Cory was my server and he was awesome. The coffee was also very good.

Bakers Crust is a great restaurant in the Greenbriar area of Chesapeake. It shares a parking lot with a larger shopping area, so parking is ample. Recently they re-vamped their menu with some great additions. Decor is pleasant and tasteful the mural on the far wall is fitting to their commitment to fresh natural ingredients. On this visit I had the pleasure of being served by Alyssa. She is on point with her knowledge of the menu and very polite. I ordered a cup of the tomato cheese soup to start off. It is like a tomato bisque that is on another level, creamy with great cheeses and tomato flavor topped with a perfect blend of seasoning. For the main course I tried the **NEW** Chesapeake smash burger, and it did not disappoint. the combo of corn and sundried tomato relish paired with boiled crab dip on two smash patties makes your tastebuds rejoice.

Gluten free turkey sandwich and side salad

We enjoyed Bakers Crust for a quick casual meal. I was glad to see some gluten free options although I was they offered more gluten free breakfast food like chicken and waffles and pancakes. My boyfriend's chicken and waffles looked great. The chicken was a little tough, so tough he accidentally dropped his knife trying to cut it, but the waffle was soft with great taste. I will say the gluten free bread was soft, which isn't always the case for GF bread. The sandwich was simple but good. I also enjoyed the side salad. This was close to our hotel and in a good area, so we may come back when we're back in town. I recommend fo a casual meal.

In the past 2 weeks, I've been to Bakers Crust in Greenbrier 4 times!!!! Their new menu items are wonderful added additions! I always sit at the bar because the bar staff is always the best. On a Wednesday I came in for the Burgers and Burbon special. All their burgers(except the Chesapeake Bay Smash burger)and bourbon is 8 dollars. I enjoyed the maple bacon burger and it was delicious. Perfectly cooked. Lots of flavor. Filling!! Burgers and Fries. 8 dollars. What a deal!! Sit at the bar when you can there is Always someone cool to chat with. Perfect for a casual date night or night with friends. or a solo evening like me.

Shrimp Tacos with fries

I've only been to Baker's Crust once before but remember I enjoyed the shrimp tacos and the corn chowder very much. I especially appreciate a place that serves fresh cut fries! Yum! NEX time, I plan to try their fresh cut chips! Today I went with a friend and decided o t he Ahi Tuna Burger - it was delicious and so were the fries ( nice and hot and crispy!). My friend said she enjoyed her pizza and side of fries, as well. Our waitress was wonderful. She was very friendly, patient, and knowledgeable about the menu. It's a cute place that I intend on going back to try their breakfast and brunch choices. In the area? Check Them Out!

I have been to two other bakers Cross but this is my first time in Chesapeake. Large inside with elegant yet casual decor. We ordered their mimosas that we're on special. I tried the blood orange and I enjoyed it. I also ordered the grilled chicken and veggie quinoa bowl. All the ingredients were grilled perfectly. The sauce poured over top was a nice touch. I highly recommend this dish. Our server was sweet and helped us in making our lunch decisions. Great spot for a family, catching up with friends, or for a date.

Katrinia F.

The service here is impeccable. This is my first time visiting, and they made me feel very comfortable. The waiter explained the menu thoroughly to me. And also suggested some menu options. I enjoyed the pizza which was made fresh. The ingredients were balanced on the pizza. The cinnamon bun was as large as my head. It wasn't too sweet, but definitely decadent. The ambience was very comfortable Somewhat trendy. I would definitely return.

Can dogs sit on the patio?

I'm pretty sure dogs are allowed outside on the patio.

How does the "curbside to go" works?

You order over the phone ahead of time. They'll ask for a description of your car. Pull up to the designated parking spot and someone will be out with your food and the check. Done. :)

Do they have free wifi?

Yes!

Needless to say the food was so good, pics proved to have zero chance. Sooo after a rough week, a Saturday late morning breakfast was calling for a much needed downtime to sit and enjoy... and well here we go: Some say happiness in a bottle, I say Happiness in a glass! Their iced praline mocha is soooo good! The right balance of mocha and coffee, not overly sweet but enough to give you a pick me up while enjoying their amazing food! Next time must try their lavender latte or pistachio... but gotta get it before 5/31 as it's available for a limited time! Definitely recommend the brekki bowl with cheese grits and fried chicken! You will not be disappointed. Cheese grits like "buhhhttah" without the oily and maybe the calories?! But honestly, so flavorful and creamy without the guilty feeling for having something that tastes so good. The veggies are fresh and perfectly cooked to give you great texture contrast. And let me tell you about their fried chicken!! Chefs kiss! Moist, flavorful lightly breaded chicken fried to perfection that had a slight kick for this girl. In full disclosure black pepper is spicy for me so take that with a grain of salt. And for those of you like me that believe there is never too much salt and add salt to your salt but need to cut that bad habit... this whole dish is the perfect amount of salt. I literally never had to add just a little more. The goat cheese crumbles gave each bite the little extra tah-dah pop that might have been otherwise gotten had you like me added a few more shakes of salt to the dish. Seriously though, if you are watching to slowly cut back on having to add salt to your food, this dish is for you! The service was great and everyone was friendly and hustling! This place is the best for a quick sit down or a group brunch. I saw a table of like 10 menly bros enjoying a huge selection of food, drinks, and catching up. Really awesome to see that as the next few tables were a mix of families with and without kids, in laws, aunts and uncles just coming together for amazing food, great and accurate service, and overall fantastic experience ina random Saturday morning!

Jennifer was our waitress and her service was absolutely spectacular. I was celebrating with my sister and ordered the closest thing to steak and eggs... which just happed to be the Steak & Hash.! I asked for the potatoes to be super crispy, eggs scrambled soft and a medium rare steak. Jennifer advised that I cannot order the steak to the temp of my choosing because, this dish does not come with a whole steak. This dish comes with cut up steak pieces. She requested for them to be cooked light. This dish also doesn't come with eggs. I ordered it on the side. Overall this dish was very pleasing to the eye but my darn potatoes were COLD... I was breaking all the rules and ordered carbs after my intense workout just to be heavily disappointed with cold taters lol... the fish looks amazing but this goes to show you that looks can be deceiving. The eggs were cooked to perfection.. not just anyone can scramble eggs soft. So the kitchen does get a point or two for that. The steak pieces are very small and thin my sliced.. not much flavor but at least they weren't chewy. Overall I did not eat my dish. I just packed up the entire plate and enjoyed two glasses of champagne with grapefruit juice. My guest ordered a dish called the chicken chimichangas or chickichangas. I believe and she devoured it!!! I didn't get a picked but it looked like a chicken omelet with hollandaise on top and some fresh fruit! Overall I am eating this place a 3 only because my service was excellent, the restaurant was clean and had ample parking.. the bathroom was clean and I just happened to be in great company. Side note. They do not sell regular size bottles of champagne. Here. You can order champagne or mimosa and they sell small individual bottles of Barefoot Prosecco I believe.

We were immediately greeted by the manager owner. It's a seat yourself and order at the counter set up. We hadn't grabbed a menu when we came in and the owner intuitively brought menus to our table. We ordered the avocado smash toast, the Blue Mystique smoothie bowl, and the Greek toast. Service was quick and they brought it out to our table. It's in the same group of buildings such as Michael's (around the corner). My visit here was on October 27, 2025. The outside view of the business is simple, but effective. They have a specials chalkboard next to the entrance. Parking wasn't an issue on this visit, but I'm sure it can fill up at busier times. My mom and I were both in the area as she wanted to go to the Michael's store here. When we came inside, it wasn't busy, as it was around 3:30 pm when we got here. We were greeted by the one who would be our server for this visit. He gave us menus to look at and asked us for our drink orders. I generally stick with water with lemon, which I did here. We were there during the time where it was still the lunch menu (though for us, it was more like dinner for us that day). When he came back with the drinks, he asked if we were ready to order, but we weren't just yet. He also asked if we had any questions about the menu and options and gave us more time to mull over the menu. When he came back, we weren't completely ready, but asked a question about the specials of the day. After that, we knew what we would get and placed our food order. My mom ordered the Meatloaf Lunch Special with mashed potatoes and spinach. I went with the Meatball Sub Lunch Special with mashed potatoes, though I don't normally do potatoes that often. After about ten minutes or so, the food came to the table. The food looked really good, and it was hot too. The bread for the Meatball Sub was very soft and easy to eat. The meatballs were huge and made for a worthy meal. The mashed potatoes with gravy was really good and fulfilling too. My mom loved the meatloaf, and their meatloaf doesn't have ketchup on it like some other places do. She loved the meatloaf, spinach, and mashed potatoes too. After we were done, he asked if we wanted any desserts. We both declined as I normally don't do them anymore. Overall, we both had an excellent experience here. The food and service were on point. The food I had that day did spike my blood sugars, but I expected that with bread and mashed potatoes. I don't make a habit of that though. They are a great local business. There are lots of food options to choose from. If you are looking for a place to eat while in this part of Chesapeake, this place is worth coming to.
