Everything still remains true, the best! I've visited sister stores as well and they deliver the same service and amazing products. I love seeing a line out the door for Baked and Wired. They are still in the scene and popular. Their cupcakes are my favorite, but so many of their other baked items are up there as well. I've been a customer for over 20 years. Service has always been perfect! The staff is engaging and hardworking. They do a wonderful job. Hot tip: place an online same day pick up order or a future order to avoid the line.

This is a cute little cupcake store in Georgetown that also serves other cafe items like coffee and breakfast/lunch items. It's a very popular spot to grab dessert in Georgetown and usually has a long line which moves pretty quick. I've tried a few cupcakes over the years and recently tried "the dude" which was a chocolate cake with some ganache filling, buttercream frosting, and malt chocolate on top. It was delicious and I'm glad I tried it but my all time favorite is the strawberry cupcake. I'll always stop by this place every time I'm in Georgetown

Cupcakes are A1. Workers are helpful and friendly. My biggest critique is the mental gymnastics it takes for me to order. I always panic a little because there's usually a line and there isn't a posted menu for the cupcakes, at least not one that I've been able to see during cupcake rush hour. They have all of the cupcakes out on display in these cute cake savers. I'm the type of person who likes to look at all of my options before I order but that's not always feasible with how the line wraps around so quickly. I feel this sense of urgency to place my order quickly and get out of the way. Next time I'll do research on the toast app so I'm prepared to order. There was one vegan option, but my vegan didn't enjoy it and said it was dry. I think it was mint flavored. The cupcakes are on the larger side to me and everyone I've ever had has been insanely sweet. I can only eat half of one at a time. During my last visit I got the Doom and uniporn and rainho. I honestly just like saying uniporn and rainho out loud so I order that one often. My favorite is the razmanian devil. The cupcakes are around $6 each. Line for drinks is always too long so we usually go somewhere else nearby.

I haven't been to Baked & Wired in a few years just because I haven't been in area. I also knew if I found a convenient way to stop by, I would be there all the time. So, I was in the area yesterday and took a 10 minute walk from Trader Joe's in 25 degrees just to get some cupcakes. I get there about 15-30 minutes after they opened so there were no lines and it wasn't crowded at all. If I had time I would have gotten a warm drink in addition to my cupcakes and chill there for a second. It's inviting, especially with all the Christmas Decoration and warm staff. I got 4 cupcakes; Pistachio, Strawberry, Vanilla and German Chocolate. Generally their cupcakes aren't too sweet, they're big with great flavor. They're $6.20 each. I normally really like pistachio flavored things, the pistachio cupcake wasn't my favorite. I think there is nut meg or a similar spice which isn't my favorite. That's not to say I wouldn't eat it again if someone bought it for me though lol. I just wouldn't buy it again. The other cupcakes were on point, no complaints. I think so far Red Velvet and Strawberry are my favorite. Now that I will be in the area more, I will definitely make my way through the menu and give you updates!

Good coffee but my regular-sized cookie was $5 with tax and 15% tip. Ridiculous price.

This family bakery in the heart of Georgetown serves up small-batch treats from family recipes with coffee. We split the strawberry and the pretty bitchin'. The strawberry cupcake was the clear standout, moist cake paired with a creamy, flavorful frosting. I'm already planning to go back and work my way through more of their flavors! Before you leave, make sure to check out the napkin wall in the back, covered in doodles and notes from patrons, it adds a fun, personal touch to an already charming spot.

While back east, our family visited Georgetown and retraced my steps when I lived there oh ten years ago. Of course, we had to make a stop at Baked & Wired! I hadn't had it in years, but was craving their expertly crafted, flavorful, high-price-tag cupcakes (hey, when in DC). When our group got there, after a collective groan at the long line, I wasn't taking no for an answer so we went to the back of the line and within about 10 minutes, made it inside the bakery. We were then greeted with a beautiful shining line of cupcakes on display. The ordering system is a little chaotic, and I'm guessing very intentional - we have to select our flavors as we move down the line, so that if something at the end of the line looks good, we have to wait until the end to order. We got 5 cupcakes - two of the seasonal Cherry Blossoms (YUM), a German Chocolate, a carrot cake and a pistachio. I think the price tag came out to about $35 for the five cupcakes? Definitely a splurge when visiting, but worth it. We ate our cupcakes after we did some site seeing around the city and they were all moist, flavorful and delicious!!

This was my favorite cupcake spot for years! I haven't been here in maybe over 7 years, so I was way overdue for a visit. A friend and I were in the area, so we stopped by. There was a long line waiting to get inside, which isn't any different from back in the day, so we waited for 15-20 minutes. There was a nice selection of cupcakes and other baked goods, and they even had fall specials! I got the great pumpkin, Karen's birthday, razmanian devil, and the carrot cake. They were all okay. I remember their cupcakes tasting so much better, but I just didn't love them this time. Maybe I should've gotten other flavors. Nonetheless, customer service was really great. The cashier was helpful, answered my questions, and provided suggestions. For my next visit, I'll most likely try their other desserts since I'm yet to try anything outside of their cupcakes.

Always a five! By far the best cupcakes in DC. Don't waste your time going anywhere else! They also have great GF cupcakes- usually just one! Service is usually great! I don't love the coffee... I come here for the baked goods! The place is cute..,often not enough seating.

DC is a cupcake town and these are by far the best. Loved the red velvet and strawberry vanilla! The marshmallow-caramel-graham bar is also great too. Don't sleep on the Arnie Palmy on a hot day. Super easy to pre order as well! Can't wait to go back! Wish they shipped!

Always love to come here! We did pick up because there was a long line outside! It closes at 4 pm! Always the best cupcakes in town

Omg! They have some of the best cupcakes I have ever had. I dropped by here while out and about in Georgetown, and ended up purchasing the coconut and carrot cake cupcakes. Both cupcakes were very tasty with a slightly dense consistency that make the cupcakes very filling. The coconut flavor was my favorite, but the carrot was good as well. The icing on both cupcakes had just the right amount of sweetness for my taste, and at Baked & Wired apparently they aren't shy about topping off their cupcakes with plenty of icing (yum!). The pricing for the menu items were very reasonable (especially for the area), and the staff were super friendly and helpful (despite the large number of customers that were visiting at the time). The atmosphere at Baked & Wired was also very nice, as it seemed like a really cool place to chill and hangout! I will definitely be back to try some more items from the menu.

It's classic for a reason. Inspiring and delicious baked sweet treats and refreshing drinks. The dirty chai latte is not for purist, but it was sweet and complimented my blondie exceptionally.

I'm sure this is a matcha lovers dream and I was impressed by how much filling was in the croissant, especially considering the filling didn't affect the texture of the bread. This was good cold but even better reheated. Bread still had a crunch and the filling consistency was great, but again just not my thing. Strawberry milk - 10/10 - can I curse real quick ? £#%K this was delicious. I could put this filling on just about anything and be satisfied. It was rich but not overly sweet and paired really well with the pastry. I do not know how they manage to have the pastry keep its shape with the amount of filling they're putting inside but I appreciate it. The pastry has a great bite to it and the pearls and frosting adding a slight contrast to the texture was needed because too much of one texture creeps me out. I had absolutely no plans on buying or eating cake that day, but as a cake lover stuff happens. It was such a cute building the pastries had to be everything! It turned out to be the perfect stop. 1. The looks The building itself is so cute on the outside, and being a fan of the color pink, it instantly caught my attention. Inside, it feels less like a fast, high volume bakery and more like an intimate cake boutique. It gives small town where the owners know you by your first name. You can feel that real love was put into the space and the baking. Tasted like every ingredient was hand mixed, every cake hand frosted, and every cookie carefully hand scooped. They even served my slice of coconut cake on a real plate, which was such a cute, bourgeois touch that I loved. 2. Service The hospitality here is top-notch. On my first visit, yes you heard me! Lol! The gentleman Eric who rang me up was incredibly knowledgeable about all the different cookie and cake flavors. I ended up returning the very next day, and although he wasn't there, the other two staff members working which included Mikaela were absolutely delightful and so kind. The young lady told me her daughter loves the carrot cake as well and Mikaela said they started working there because they loved the patties so much! 3. The Cakes -Coconut Cake: This slice was so delicious, fluffy, and airy that it instantly reminded me of being a kid at holiday family meals with a fresh coconut cake on the table. -Carrot Cake: It was everything you want a carrot cake to be. It was nice and dense yet soft, with a pleasant texture from the added fruits. Definitely noticed pineapple bits! The cream cheese frosting wasn't overly thick and was so good you could eat it completely by itself. -Strawberry Cupcakes: I stole a small bite of my son's. unfortunately, this one was my least favorite. The frosting had a little chemical taste to it but it was a super cute cupcake. To answer your question, will I return? Absolutely! The beef börek was good; the cheese finger börek was good, too, if maybe a teensy bit dry. I also got one of their signature coffees. While these coffees sound interesting and delicious and creative, I wish there an option or two that weren't as sweet. I tried the Sultan's Velvet, which was just way too sweet for me. Next time, I'll stick to a classic coffee - an americano or a cappuccino - since they have it all. There's quite a bit of seating - some downstairs, some upstairs, and some outside. I sat down and read my book while I enjoyed my pastries. It's definitely the kind of place that is comfortable to sit and enjoy. The customer service was friendly and fast. Overall, I'm glad I stopped by Caspian Crust. Georgetown is lucky to have several pastry shops/bakeries, but Caspian Crust is different and stands out. Its focus on Turkish and Azerbaijani pastries means that there's something for everyone - some classics for those folks who like what they like with their coffee, more savory pastries with meat or cheese or olives, and some sweet but less common pastries as well. Great flavors and variety. It's also cozy, comfortable, and casual, with good customer service. I'd be happy to return.

It's a rather quaint and cute Azerbaijani bakery and as I was window shopping all the cakes and baklavas, someone across the counter says "let me know if you have any questions" and I look up to see an angelic beautiful woman (this does not affect my rating haha) but I guess I wasn't expecting to see that. Anyway, she went through explaining various pastries and had a couple Turkish ones as well. I went with a pistachio baklava and a slice of honey cake. But still I shunned the baklava, my friends' favorite but at the very top of my list of pastries I could do without. I find it papery and drenched in syrup - way too sweet! But now I suggest that Sharbat is a bakery for people who think they don't like baklava. My friends finally persuaded me to try some, and oh man is it good. It's nothing like the baklava I know. Perhaps because it is made Azerbaijani style - at the eastern end of Turkish culinary reach. It is more cakey and less sweet. But still plenty sweet, with a nice nutty crunch. I don't know whether to kiss or curse my friends for turning me on to this, but now I know. And now so do you.
