I maybe a little biased when it comes to this place but this is my favorite bakery in the bayarea. The owner is the sweetest and she treats every customer like they are VIP. The food is always delicious and most important the consistency on the taste is always on point . I have to limit myself to only buying two bake goods when I go there because I get carried away lol . My favorite things to buy are 1. Cinnamon rolls ( the best cinnamon rolls I ever tasted) 2. Lemon cake ( the best lemon cake ever) 3. Strawberry ( I'm not a strawberry cake person but for some reason i love the strawberry cake here . That's how amazing the taste of the cake is . 4. Banana pudding cake ( it tastes like actual homemade banana that a southern grandma would make ) 5. Brown butter cookie& oatmeal raisin cookie ( it's made perfectly soft with a little crispy crunch just the way I like it ) 6. All of the coffee cakes are delicious ( it's too many to name but my favorite is the peach cobbler coffee cakes) 7. Mushroom danish ( don't judge me , I love mushrooms ) 8. The caramel ice latte ( Starbucks could never compete with this latte lol) 9. The peach and mango refresher ( so refreshing and delicious) 10. I finally got to try Bake It Up and this place was worth the wait! I had to try a little bit of everything, I ordered the cinnamon roll cake, two different types of focaccia breads, my strawberry matcha and my husband got a coffee (I forget which). Everything was SO good and the owner, Ms. Fatima, was so kind and welcoming. Not the sort of thing you experience often these days and her customer service was such a refreshing change. this place was such a sweet bakery + cafe find. I ordered the pistachio latte made with Yemeni coffee & a matcha latte. The pistachio latte was perfect, sweet, & balanced well with the strong aromatic taste of the Yemeni coffee. I also ordered a mushroom pastry and it was such a Delicious savory snack to enjoy with my sweet coffee. Inside was cozy & smelled delicious. We sat outside on the little tables to enjoy our food before heading home. The coffee was strong in the best way possible!! I also ordered my birthday cake from here, the owner was wonderful & answered all my questions. I ordered my strawberry cake one week In advance & picked it up the day of the event. Fatima (the owner) is so nice and welcoming and the vibe in her shop is so nice! We came here for the first time on a weekend morning and were so impressed by this place! I think the owner/baker/main staff member was in the front making the coffees and preparing everyone's orders and she seemed to know customers and chat with everyone as they came by, creating a nice community feel. The bakery doesn't have indoor seating, but there are a few tables right outside the front of the store, but it can be a little chilly sitting out front. We had one of the best tasting croissants we've had ever here. The spinach artichoke croissant had a rich cream that balanced with the baked cheese on top. It was huge and had amazing and unique flavors to it. We also tried the brownie, which had chocolate chips and every bite -- though the crust wasn't crispy at the top, it was still a rich brownie. The pistachio latte was very unique and she told us that the pistachios came from the Middle East and were freshly grounded. The latte was very smooth, though on the sweet side, and my partner said he would come back just for the latte. It is very clear that the owner puts a lot of thought, care, and love into her baked goods and drinks. Everything we had was very impressive and we can see why there was a steady stream of customers all morning. However, we did initially come for the cinnamon rolls, and even though it was an hour after the bakery opened, they were all out of cinnamon rolls because someone came and bought them all. That was a little bit disappointing but it does seem like a good bakery like this will sell out pretty quickly. We'll definitely be back! read more

The second you walk in it smells amazing, you're treated like family and the coffee is to die for!! We ordered a bunch of things to try here, and really enjoyed the Arabic Leche Cake (delicate, not too sweet, addictive!), Orange Olive Oil Cake (moist, dense, and light flavor). I also loved the Dubai chocolate pistachio latte!! We also tried the sour cream coffee cake and Dubai croissant. The coffee cake was a little bit dry. The Dubai croissant was pricey, but worth a try especially if you're splitting it with a bunch of people. Service was friendly! Will be back again if ever in the area. read more

I went here on a Friday and it was fairly busy. We were welcomed In and ordered getting our pastries quickly followed by our drinks. The tres leches was amazing never had anything like it! The halal pizza focaccia was very flavorful tasted like a deep dish pizza. We took our food outside and enjoyed it on their outdoor seating. My sister liked the chai but I would have got another drink besides the biscoff coffee. The coffee itself was good but the biscoff was very thick. Maybe if you like biscoff it's the drink for you. I have been in search of a cookie croissant in the Bay area. Last time I had one was in S. California, Corona Del Mar. I was so excited when I found Bake It Up with different types of croissants. Good coffee. We tried their cookie croissant honey lavender and biscoff pleasure. Also, I got a breakfast sandwich that was very filling. For croissant, of course, I got the cookie one and baklava. I will definitely come back to try their other sweets like cupcakes, slice of cake and more bakery goodness. Also, I need to go back to try their Dubai croissant. I really wanted to like this bakery considering it's a local bake shop, but it was disappointing. There's a good selection of cupcake flavors to choose from (birthday cake, vanilla, chocolate, seasonal, etc), but I ended up getting a strawberry shortcake flavor ($4.25/each). It's not a cheap cupcake, so I expected it to taste better. I grabbed a fork thinking it would be an easy/smooth cut for my first bite, but the fork barely went through the cupcake. The frosting down to the cake itself was hard. I don't know if I'm just used to softer cupcakes that melts into your mouth easily, but this was not it. Maybe other items on their menu are better...but I will not be returning for another cupcake here. We were greeted by a super sweet worker and welcomed with the cutest decor. The space is a bit small, but it just feels so friendly inside! There were cakes and pastries on display and even though we stopped by for snacks, we realized that they have a pretty solid drink menu too! I ordered four croissants to-go: baklava, cookie, almond, and spinach artichoke. They were all really good! If they're not warm, I'd suggest toasting them or heating them up before eating. The sweet croissants were really sweet but tasted great and incorporated their flavors well. She recommended their best seller which was the pistachio latte (which you can get hot or iced). They don't serve coconut like, so I opted for the oat milk. I have been looking forward to trying this new bakery in Castro Valley - happy to say I would be happy to go here again! Their cakes look amazing in the display case! I will have to try it on mt next visit. On this visit, I had a pumpkin french toast casserole and my husband had an almond croissant. The pumpkin frencg toast was very decadent-basically like a pumpkin bread pudding. My husband originally wanted a crookie but they were all sold out - bummer, maybe next time. In addition to the sweets, I also got myself an Arabic chai-it was pretty yummy, the cardamom flavor really stood out. The owner is a warm and inviting baker who makes all her desserts from scratch on site. We had the lemon olive oil cake and a drink called Boss Lady. Both were delicious and fresh. Discovered this new bakery in our area and wanted to try it out. We came in on a Saturday morning for breakfast for a light coffee and pastry family outing treat. When you walk in it is very warm and welcoming. And the fall decor made it extra festive. The upbeat music boosted my mood immediately. They had a small menu offering fall flavored drinks and coffees with pumpkin, chai flavors as well of course. Typically I like to try to be a little adventurous and order unique flavors and this bakery shop definitely provides that. I think the owners might be Middle Eastern, many flavors I don't typically see i.e. cardamom , pistachio etc. We were very excited to try all these new flavors! I ordered a pistachio latte which I have never seen before or tried anywhere else. The pistachio cream at the bottom is soooo yummy. No additional sweetener added. And the layers of coffee and milk and green pistachio cream on bottom is very pretty and aesthetic and all the more appetizing. My husband ordered the cardamom roll. He loves anything cardamom. I also ordered the trendy cookie croissant and the leche cake. The leche cake, was also beautiful with the little purple dried petals and the sprinkles of pistachio on top really opens your eyes to feast. It is in between, less sweet than American sweetness but also not too light when it comes to asian bakery sweetness - like right in the middle. Was very tasty! We sat outside, the store has 4 tiny tables and chairs- cafe style. And the weather was already 70-80 degrees this early morning, pretty hot at 10 am but perfect for al fresco dining. Really poor customer service. Went to go buy a strawberry shortcake, but the lady had just cut it up an hour earlier. She had 9 slices, and I offered to buy all 9, but she would only sell me 6, she said "so other people can buy some." Fatima, the owner, is very friendly. Her son, Uness, tries to act so hard and cool, and I think to myself, you're in a cute little bakery, so there's no need to put on a facade, but whatever, that's his style I guess. I love the orange olive oil cake, and I've had it many times, but as others have also commented, the cakes and cupcakes are not good at all. They are very pretty, to be sure, but the frostings are have an odd flavor. Too much salt, perhaps, and not made with butter. I can't put my finger on it, but it's not my cup of tea. This goes for the chocolate cake and red velvet cake. I'll just stick to the baked goods without icing. read more

Stopped by this morning to see what treats they carry and omg im so glad we did! We got the pizza crossant and a slice of leches cake and LOVED both of them!
