Stopped by Bake & Che for a quick cold refreshing treat after lunch with some friends. There's a self service ordering tablet and a few tables inside and outside for you to wait/enjoy your food at. Service was quick and we got our che pretty quickly after ordering. The inside isn't too fancy but it's nice and clean with maybe 2 or 3 tables and good AC inside. I got the C2. CT Thai with regular ice, less sweet. I tend to like things on the sweeter side so I think I'd stick with regular sweet next time. It was a perfect treat to cool down with, crunchy ice mixed in with the various jellies and fruits - though I will say it was a little less colorful and more jelly/ice than jackfruit/longan/pomegranate than I'd like for the price. Overall a decent quick stop for che!
One of the best Vietnamese chè, dessert places in Orange County! Was missing Vietnam on my recent medical mission visit so wanted some chè to round out my equally delicious Viet comfort meal. There is always a line out the door at this location. The quality of each dessert is excellent, desserts all delicious and authentic and space is clean and inviting. I had the house special C1 (always get the special bc it's special for a reason! lol. My husband got the pandan grass jelly C4. One daughter got the avocado C7 and other daughter got their signature flan cheesecake. I've tried many of their other desserts in previous visits and they were all equally delicious. I love the different textures and varieties of ingredients in each dessert. It's a burst of flavor and texture in your mouth! I also appreciate how fresh every ingredient and topping is. They give you these cute ice chunks separately so you can add once you eat for a fresh, unwatered down experience. They also provide a toasted coconut slice and peanut topping to give it that extra special unique and thoughtful addition! Well done Bake & Che; you have my vote. Vote for them!!
It is not often you can find a dedicated Vietnamese che shop. I like the variety of desserts offered here. I always get the traditional che, which is made once you order. I also like that you can order online via Toast so it is ready for pickup. The ice chips hold up well and don't melt too fast. They will serve the ice separately if you are taking it to go so you can add and mix in when you are ready to eat it. Recommend.
We ordered the C8) DHDB Premium Soy Pudding and C4) SSBL Pandan Grass Jelly, and both were so tasty! The service was also fast and helpful.
The store is very clean and well organized. The staff are nice and fast with orders. Our favorites are their jelly, che Thai and chè 3 colors. They are very good and refreshing, especially on hot days. Remember to order online in advance if you don't want to wait. Hopefully they will have more shade areas or umbrellas to chill outside if no more spaces inside.
Pro tip: don't know what to get? Get the 5 item sampler box which includes all of Bake & Che's baked desserts - palm sugar, taro, cassava, mung bean, and pandan durian - all at a lower price than if you get each individually! Personally, I think they're all equally good, especially if you warm them up! When they take your order, they'll ask if want them warmed up, great if you're planning on stuffing them into your mouth soon! If you don't want to wait in line to order, there's also a self-serve ordering tablet where you can place your order! This place is always busy on the weekends!
Super busy place. Came in Saturday afternoon and I wanted to try this place out as I wanted to have some sweet treats. Ordered the mixed box, cassava, taro, mung beans, brown bread. All were good except for mung bean. Also got their flan and a cold dessert. I will come back to this happening place.
Bake & Chè I like the bánh da lợn here because it isn't overly sweet. However, the colors of the cake look a bit too dark for my personal preference, which makes me slightly hesitant. I've tried the chè here as well. In my opinion, chè tastes much better with coconut milk rather than regular milk , it just gives a richer and more authentic flavor. Since Bake & Chè has multiple locations, I've noticed that every store I've visited is clean and well organized. Some staff members are extremely sweet and welcoming, while a few others don't seem very friendly. Parking is generally easy to find and not too difficult. However, if you're coming with a baby, it might be a little challenging to find parking close to the shop
A fun place for this popular destination. Don't fear the line. It moves quickly. There are plenty of Bake & Che locations around Southern California, but this place is easy to get to. (Bolsa Ave) PARKING Right near the entrance to the shopping center. There's plenty of parking all around SERVICE This place is ALWAYS busy, but the crew here is pretty well organized. I think that much of the slow down in the lines comes from customers. Not in a bad way, just in a "more" way. There are plenty of "grab and go" options in a refrigerator You can order online or at a kiosk in the store. You can also order in person. SEATING There is indoor and outdoor seating if you're planning to stay put. FOOD Apparently there also are vegan options. My wife loved the drink and pandan treat. The coconut milk is served with a small tub of peanuts on the side if you're allergic. (Nice touch) The pandan is tiny, and "just enough" for that sweet afternoon treat that you're looking for. MANAGED CHAOS It's very popular in the weekend Today the dirty tables and overflowing garbage was a challenge for staff. So many people were waiting around the door. It was difficult to know who was waiting for what thing (order/pickup/table/pay). Worth it!!
Bake & Che had great refreshment desserts. The posters always sell me. They also have promotions during the week if you enter your phone number. It's great for a hot summer day. There's music that plays inside and they have sitting space inside and outside. Our favorite one is the Thai dessert and snacking on all the cold fruits in the dessert drink.

I've seen a couple of Che & Bake locations around, so they must be doing something right ! :)) And after visiting Bake & Che, I can see why. This location is always crowded, but I think partially the layout of the ordering counter is literally about 10 feet from the entrance, so it can feel a bit hectic when it's busy, and a lot of times the customers blocks the kiosk, so you do t realize it's available. :(( Their specials are these baked flan and Thai desserts are my favorites. Everything tastes fresh and flavorful, and they offer a good selections of Vietnamese desserts to choose from. I usually ask for half sweet, and they always get it just right -- still flavorful but not overly sugary.

Came to Bake & Che since I was craving Che and this place had good reviews. There was a line when I came which was a good sign, but I got my order immediately after I ordered (literally right after I tapped my card). I got the House Special Che. House Special Che - Actually SO good. The toppings were all delicious and they were pretty generous with each. I just wish that they had more fresh fruit in it since this was pretty pricey. The coconut milk was sweet and this was the perfect dessert to top my lunch off. Overall, great place! A solid che, and I would definitely come back again! read more

Friend of mine brought a bunch of delicious desserts from here so I had to go check it out myself. The person taking the order spoke limited English so it was a bit difficult to clarify what was in the drinks. Ended up getting a drink with some items that I don't really enjoy. BUT, the coconut one saves the day!! So amazing! I would drive 30mins just to get that coconut drink. It's called smashed coconut. The wait is not for the weak. Signed up for the email newsletter and there was a BOGO on their house special che. Despite ordering online, there was still quite the line to pick up even with the "order is ready" text confirmation. Definitely suggest making sure you allocate some time to wait! I always see a line out the door whenever I drive by this location even at night. So naturally, I wanted to stop by. The store has a couple tables with seats inside and outside, most people took their order to go. I saw a sign for their signature flan cheesecake and decided to give it a try. The cheesecake was very delicious. There is a layer of flan on top which was soft, smooth, and silky. The layer underneath was the cheesecake which also had a light and fluffy texture. But the best part was it have the right amount of sweetness and richness and wasn't overly done. ...Second stop ONLY because I was 4 min away... #BOGO free today and tomorrow only! #ThaiDessert Shout out to all the workers here at this location. There was a SUPER long line when I arrived around 3 p.m. It wrapped around the building and I literally waited 40 min to save $7... Hahaha! .... but it was delicious and worth the wait. It was also a hot day, so a bit uncomfortable waiting in the heat, but let me just say that EVERY EMPLOYEE I talked to was OVERLY pleasant and SUPER friendly. All were bilingual and smoothly changed languages with a smile on their face. Of course, everyone wanted the BOGO deal, but once you got in out of the sun and inside the building EVERYONE was working hard to keep the line moving and they all seemed to know their job and it was VERY organized. The girl at the register also made sure I was "ok" with Durian, if I wanted the ice in my drink or on the side, if I wanted less sugar and if I had a peanut allergy........ all this for a $7 drink. Impressed and appreciative. Seems everyone is giving a #BOGO deal and you can pretty much find one every day, but none that I've been to have had this long of a line so far. Great place for Vietnamese dessert. It's pretty similar to a dessert I grew up with as a kid so I was super stoked to try it. You can adjust sweetness and add toppings if desired. Wait can be long if it's a busy night but orders come out pretty quick. You can dine in you want but not many seating available. Inside is relatively quiet. Definitely stopping by the next time we're in town. read more
My first introduction to Vietnamese Che. I didn't visit the storefront but this store came to a catered party. The staff were super friendly and I am now a big fan of Che. I had both the House special with some durian and the Avocado Che. Both are delicious, not too sweet, and refreshing. I also tried the Flan Cheese and Pandan Jelly. I wasn't a big fan of the Flan Cheese. I do recommend the House special with it's combination of water chestnuts, pandan leaves, beetroot, jelly, and coconut milk. Bake & Che sounds familiar... have I had this before? Oh, yeah, there's one in Rosemead, too! I enjoyed it that time, and I was excited to try it again here. Parking was thankfully easy in the evening, and there was ample parking in their plaza. Wait time? Approximately 10-20 minutes. For dessert, I had their Che Ba Mau (Three Colors) and Cassava Bake. Ordering was a quite a hassle, as every other item I ordered would be sold out but never marked. (I wanted 4 other che before settling che ba mau and three other bakes before Cassava... doing the math, that's nearly half of the bake and che sold out...?) At one point, I was flustered and asked," So, what is available...?" Would highly recommend labeling sold out items as they are sold out. Taste? The Che Ba Mau was great; I enjoyed the variety of jellies and beans. Despite being a sweet treat, I felt healthy devouring this for dessert. The cassava? Unfortunately, hard pass on this. It had a subtly sweet and savory taste, a moist yet firm texture, and reminded me of my least favorite item at Lunar New Year: an assortment of any snacks in those candy boxes. read more

I normally goto the Garden Grove location and I always spend $20 plus. I was very much looking forward to my coconut pudding however there is a giant black hair that has been trapped in the coconut cream and I now have to trash a $6 plus dessert. I placed an order at the kiosk and didn't get a printed receipt, when I heard my # called I was questioned if I had a receipt? Why would I walk to the counter knowing my order number? It was assumed I was taking someone else's order... I showed the text message with the # and they seemed like they still wanted the printed receipt... then why give an option to pay on a kiosk and to get your receipt texted if you aren't going to trust the customer?? Very disappointed, won't be coming back and will make sure to examine my items at the other location. read more

My boyfriend took me to Bake & Che to try chè for the first time! I ordered the chè thai which was filled with fruits like lychee, jackfruit, faux pomegranate seeds, jellies, coconut milk, and crunchy ice. I couldn't name everything in there, but I can definitely say that it was a delicious treat and each ingredient offered a fruity blend with different textures! Bake & Che was really busy when we arrived, but the wait wasn't very long. However, we took our order to go since all of the tables were full. I would love to visit again soon. I visited Bake & Chè for the 1st time on July 4th. It was very busy in the afternoon with a line out-of-the-door, so I placed an online order and browsed the shopping plaza until it was time to pick-up. I waited about 40 minutes to pick-up, which included items for my family. When I got to the counter, it was very hectic with many customers waiting around. There was only 1 staff member calling out order numbers and handing off in-person orders, so customers that ordered online had to flag-down the staff member. There's a(n) restroom, indoor seating area, and few tables outside. I tried the House Special Chè with less ice and sweetness. Since it was so hot outside, I regretted choosing less ice because the chè was quite thick. However, it was still tasty and refreshing! There were so many mix-ins, and the toppings added a nice crunch. Also, I tried the Bánh Bò Nướng (Palm Sugar) and the Bánh Đậu Xanh (Mung Bean), which warmed up easily in the microwave and stayed moist even after a couple of days. I liked the Bánh Bò Nướng more because it was fragrant and not too sweet. I'd like to return to Bake & Chè, but I'd avoid going on holidays and make sure to order online to avoid the line. read more

Stopped by a dinner nearby. Place was packed w a decent line. Vietnamese Che desserts and drinks. The interior is small w about 6 tables, but has several tables outside also. Gets crowded inside with people ordering and waiting to pick orders. We ordered a couple of House Specials, one without Durian. The Durian was very strong as Durian can be. The Special was good. Had Red Bean, Jackfruit, Pandan, Coconut, Longan, milk and Ice ( durian also) the ice was thick chunks and prevalent. Almost too much ice. But once mixed together it was a very good treat. Similar to Che Ive had in Siagon. One Premium Soy Pudding which was not my things. Rather plain tasting. The Coconut Smash drink was VERY tasty with fresh young coconut inside. The flavor w the tender coconut chunks was the highlight. We also tried the Longan Jelly and Pandan Coconut Jelly. Both were good and not overly sweet. I've been coming here every now and then when I'm in the area. I usually visit when they send out a coupon or when I'm visiting Da Vien. Parking: The parking lot here is so frustrating bc it's always busy. Finding a spot can be difficult. Careful while turning as there's old pedestrians constantly walking without caution. Ambiance/Environment: This spot is always poppin! There's a line out the door every time I visit. They have a medium indoor space with limited seating and a few outdoor seating. Service: The workers are nice, quick, and efficient. They speak English and Vietnamese. Desserts: I absolutely enjoy all their che. It's so refreshing! I haven't tried their bakery items yet. I recently tried their Thai Desserts, and I loooved it! It wasn't too sweet. Perfect amount of milk and a generous amount of jellies & fruits. My only critique is the cleanliness of the packaging. First time trying Vietnamese che! It reminded me a bit of Filipino halo-halo. I visited on a Saturday, and there was a line snaking out the door, so I ordered through the tablet instead (which, unfortunately, was out of paper. Eeep). I got the House Special for $7, and it was good! Not too sweet, not bland. They use nugget ice, which you can customize. Next time, I'd add more ice since it melts quickly in the dessert, and the ice is really what makes it refreshing. I also noticed they offer pastries. However, if you order through the tablet, you can only buy them in sets. If you want to buy individual pieces, you'll need to go to the cashier. I ended up skipping them since I just wanted one. I ordered online and did my pickup. They were extremely busy but after 3 mins, I got someone's attention to grab my order. I ordered the coconut smash with less ice. It was very sweet bc of the coconut milk, so next time if I plan to eat it right away then to do regular ice so that it waters down the sweetness. Coconut is delicious and worth the $7. Save yourself time and just order on the app, so you can pickup because to order inside in person the line can get pretty crazy long. Especially when there is a promo. read more
First time here and this was just OK for me. Maybe I didn't order the right things this time but I would give it another try. I did not enjoy the house special drink because it was overpowering with durian flavor and the texture of peanuts did not go well for me. I usually enjoy Durian and don't mind it at all, but that was all that I tasted in this drink and it was just too much. My friend got the longan aloe vera drink with basil seeds, forgot to take a picture. She said it didn't have enough ingredients and the basil seeds were very minimal. I have to remember to warm up the baked desserts next time at home. I got my husband the flan cheesecake and he didn't care for it. The young lady who took our order was friendly and knowledgeable about the items on the menu. It was super busy on a Saturday afternoon with the line out the door, but had to give it a try since we were close by. Lines moved rather quickly considering. We came here after dinner one night. The line was out the door with locals. It was a little chaotic but the line moves. They have a few small tables inside and a few picnic tables outside. If you like asian style soy milk, the premium soy pudding drink is awesome. I loved it. Half of the cup is the soy pudding and the fill the rest with soy milk. It is not a "pudding" consistency. It's more like a jello that you can suck through the straw. Their top dessert item is their flan cheesecake. I got one to try. It was not what I expected. But it's good. The flan is definitely there. Indoor was lively with the amount of people inside, but not too loud from the music playing. As a young Viet person (Gen Z!) I am drawn to these trendy Viet dessert spots. This place is helmed by younger Viet people, so you can order either in Vietnamese or English. Their self-service kiosk is very introvert friendly, although on the most recent visit for me, it was not working. Nonetheless, the people working here are friendly and good for me that I am not an introvert. They have really quick service and their desserts are always tasty. Last year I discovered I like chè bơ, so that is my go-to order from here now. I also (as a rule of thumb) always try a place's house special, so I have also tried their chè đặc biệt. Their baked dessert options are interesting, and I got their dessert sampler to try. The bánh da lợn has a durian flavor which my mom and I really liked. Their bánh bò nướng was also quite tasty. My sister has been wanting to come here for quite some time now and I recently saw a TikTok about their new flandan cheesecake. We were having dinner across the street and decided to walk over to grab some dessert. Yumi was extremely nice and helpful. She asked if I ever had their signature flan cheesecake and I said no and she highly recommended I'd try it since I was ordering the Flandan cheesecake. I'm glad she recommended because it was simple yet delicious. I'm a huge Pandan lover and cheesecake lover so the Flandan cheesecake was definitely my favorite.
