Stopped by here for lunch a couple weeks ago. Drip Drip Cafe is a restaurant by day and a night club with live music by night (after 4:00 pm, I think). I ordered the house special, according to some YouTubers, banh da cua dong, a dish I have never had nor heard of before. It's basically some sort of chewy noodles with crab paste, sliced fish cake, and some pork rolls, served boiling in a stone pot. Wow! Super hot, super delicious. Only drawback was, the long wait. If you're in a hurry or do not have the patience, this probably won't work for you. The restaurant was quite busy and everyone was impatiently waiting for their meal. But it was so worth it. I almost gave up too. Good thing I didn't. I would have missed a great meal. I happened to sit at the table right next to the owner and had a quick chat with her while she had her late lunch also. Nice young lady. Very polite. So was her mother. Definitely will return with my family soon. I usually go check these new restaurants out first, then let them know. :) read more

Went here over the weekend because I was craving soup, and ordered 2 different dishes especially because of their current limited promotion. Because it was a weekend, and busy during normal lunchtime hours the wait was about 15 minutes to be seated, and another 20-30 minutes to be served (primarily due to choosing the promotional items, when everyone else is likely ordering the same). Both the Bun Rieu and the Banh Da Cua Hai Phong are served in hot stone bowls, so they stay hot while you enjoy your food, even for slower eaters. (Caution if you have sensitive skin to heat, you may feel like you're getting burned!) One bowl is most likely enough for 1 serving, but it's always fun to try different foods at restaurants! Loved the Bun Rieu, their soup was savory and you can taste the crab flavors. The cha ca was my favorite part, really great flavor added to the soup alongside the usual components. The vermicelli and leafy greens were served on the side, allowing you to add how much you want to your bowl of soup as well. The Banh Da Cua Hai Phong was also good, but I personally was not as much of a fan (probably spoiled from the Bun Rieu). It had a much sweeter broth, but I like the more savory type. Lots of rice noodles included, as well as the ground pork and cha ca. The water spinach was served on the side as well for this dish. However I did like the more chewy texture of the rice noodles. The venue itself is housed but there were plenty of windows and doors that allowed breezes to come through acting as natural air conditioning. Important to stay cool during the hot summer days! The lighting itself was on the darker side, with vibes similar to that of a night club. Very nice place indeed! Overall a great and fun place to try! Would recommend coming here for the experience, if not for the food. I'll admit I didn't come here for their coffee since I wasn't in the mood, but they did look pretty and delicious as well! This is more like a lounge/night club/bar. The seatings and decor/ambience is definitely not ideal for a cafe. Per waiter, in the morning, the restaurant transform to a cafe-matcha, coffee and Vietnamese dishes; on the weekend, at night, it's a bar/club. We ordered the popular Vietnamese crepe taco and udon. The crepe was difficult to eat because the shell was super thin so it cracked easily. For the price, it's not worth it..there's like a couple of squid pieces and a shrimp cut in half..there's rest is lettuce. The udon was a thicker paste but it was sweet yet it had the shrimp paste taste-pretty strong. Would I come back-no. This lounge just opened! We went on a Sunday afternoon, and it's an open space with a welcoming and lively atmosphere. I can see it being loads of fun as they have a full service bar, energetic music, and multiple big screens playing sports. On weekends they have DJs. We ordered the shaken beef with fried rice, seafood banh xeo tacos, and ga chien. For drinks, we got the creme brulee and ube Viet coffee. Ga chien: my favorite dish-- super crispy with fragrant fish sauce flavor, paired with a herb green sauce Shaken beef: delicious! the beef was cooked perfectly and had a smoky flavor. I liked that it came with fried rice instead of normal white rice. Add a bit of the side fish sauce over the rice and it's perfect. Banh xeo taco: first time I've ever had a banh xeo taco. topped with shrimp, squid, and fresh veggies, you can add a drizzle of fish sauce served in a shot glass. It's crispy and delicious-- I'd like to have had the banh xeo shell be a bit thicker and chewier for more structural integrity. Banh canh cua: a twist on the typical dish, this one has udon noodles with shrimp and the broth is hot, umami and gooey. I like to add a bit of the chili for a good kick. Came here for the Taco Banh Xeo. We also ordered shaken beef, shrimp egg roll, and crab and shrimp clear noodles. Out of everything we ordered i only like the Taco Banh Xeo. That was so yummy! My only complaint though, they need to make the shell a bit thicker, it was too thin that when i took a bite, the shell started breaking, which cause some of the fillings to fall out. The rest of the food was kind of bland. My ice biscoff coffee was pretty good. I don't know if I would come back, if i do it would only be for the Banh Xeo Taco :D read more

I wouldn't know this place existed if not for Yelp reviews. This is a lounge/night club but now they serve food during day time (until 4). The food was actually very good. We tried: Banh xeo taco: fun dish to eat but since the shells were so thin and crispy there's no way you can avoid dropping some on your plate when eating them. The fish sauce comes in a shot glass and you pour it over the tacos. Beef stew with beef tongue: very savory but the bread that came with it was not hot and crispy (which is understandable for most restaurants). I would bring my own fresh baguette next time if they don't mind. Chicken wings: the wings were fried perfectly except they didn't absorb the sauce (very good btw) well enough. Fried calamari: as good as it gets Sea food banh canh: you can taste the seafood and prominent crab flavor in the broth. The udons were very good so if I have to guess they could be made in house. Sea food mien xao: I would prefer more wok hei but I wouldn't mind this version either. The service was outstanding and our server was ridiculously polite and nice. My son saw Drip Drip Cafe advertised on one of the YouTuber channels, so we decided to give it a try. Also, because they had a "promotion" for the noodles/soup. We came on Saturday, at the time they were opened. We ordered 2 bowls of their "famous" noodles: bun riêu "crab noodles meat, tomatoes" and "Banh Ða Hải Phòng" another noodles soup, cup of salted coffee, a cup of "hot" tea. We were disappointed because the portions were given like for a child of 7 to eat, the flavor was nothing special. The coffee has no coffee flavor(for the price, definitely not worth it) More importantly, my tea came out like water at room temperature and with no tea flavor; I asked the girl to warm it up 2x , each time took her 15 minutes to bring it back, yet the tea was still cold. I told her I was not interested in waiting for another 15 minutes for it to get warm up again. She then informed me the water unit/espresso machine was not turned on that's why the tea was still at room temperature. I didn't want it, but they charged us anyway ($1.50/cup) . Took forever to get our food yet nothing special about the noodles as they mentioned on the YouTuber channels. We are definitely drip drip away and will never return due to unflavored foods, drinks and bad service and strange ambience (bar club) not restaurant. read more

We talked to the owner and their wait staff. Super sweet people. We got their cafe flight, Bo ne with trung muoi, nui bo luc lac and their lobster tacos. Everything was delicious! We Wouldn't recommend this restaurant coz they disregarded customer . They didn't even care and come take the ordered even we came before other people . We tried to wave them a couple times but nobody came to our table . We were sitting there almost half hour and then my baby started crying so we had to leave and walk out but the owner came out and said sorry . My friend and I went to Drip Drip on Sunday after church, around 1 PM, we were seated right away. The place was clean and orderly, my friend used the restroom, but I didn't, and she had no complaints about it. I observed four servers/team members and they all were very friendly and attentive. We ordered the savory seafood pancakes and they were very light and delicious. We also ordered the beef stew with tongues, my friend liked it, but I wasn't a fan of the texture of the tongue, which has nothing to do with how it was cooked. We got the coffee flight of four different coffee flavors, and I highly recommend the avocado coconut one. We were treated with a free traditional dessert made with coconut milk and different kinds of jello, and it tasted great. It was a very sweet treat to all the patrons.
