Honestly one of my family go-to restaurants when we're all craving different types of Vietnamese dishes! I always get the cánh gà chiên and my sister gets the bò né (not pictured). Now this is a bustling restaurant so there's nothing about the service that stands out, but it'll do. Don't go here expecting to be pampered. It has good food and at the end of the day good food and good people are all you need! It's always pretty crowded and loud when I go, but thats typical for a popular Vietnamese restaurant. I've been here a few times and tried both the bò né and canh bún. The bò né was pretty good, lots of meat, and I like that they put the pate on the side so you can kinda eat it your own way. The blended coffee was good too, I didn't expect much but it surprised me. But honestly I think I like the canh bún more. It's not super full like I thought it would be, but the flavor is nice, easy to eat, not too heavy. The place has that busy, casual vibe. It gets pretty crowded inside sometimes, so I don't really come here to sit long. Parking can be a little tricky at times, but I've always been able to find a spot if I circle around a bit. Service was just okay. No one was rude, just not super attentive either. There were a few times we had to wait a bit, it felt more like they're just doing their job and moving on. Food came out in about 15 minutes though so that part was good. They do have a big menu with a lot of food and drinks, so it's easy to try different things. I've passed by this corner full of shops for years and didn't realized this restaurant is here now. Actually, there are 2 restaurants, Ilanet 1 and Ilanet 2 but when you look it up on Yelp, it's only showing Ilanet coffee. I went to Ilanet 1. A bunch of ppl were sitting outside enjoying their meals and smoking away. Upon walking in, tons of tables as it's a good size restaurant. A good amount of ppl were inside as well. Looks like this spot has been here for some time as it's pretty worn looking. It's new to me but not new to the area. Menu had a variety of items, a good selection of Vietnamese dishes to enjoy. A variety of drinks as well were available. We ordered the Banh Canh as I haven't had it in years. Perry clean broth and decent for a quick lunch and as I was craving Vietnamese food, it hit the spot. Parking was not bad but it's the weekdays and it was getting full of cars, weekend can be bad. Because phoholic was sooooo busy. This was option 2 that doesn't have a long wait and open late. Bo luc lac is tasty with tons of vegis. Side of Maggie and some chili, delicious! Fried rice to wash it all down. The place is always filled with a bunch of locals. Reviews are the best but they have a recurring bunch of folks to come back daily. read more

iLanet serves a wide variety of Vietnamese dishes in a very old-school sort of environment. Our service was quick with a server that didn't check in all that much, which was fine since we didn't need anything. I ordered the nui xao thit bo (stir fried noodles with shaking beef), which is always a safe choice at a restaurant. It was well-seasoned, some of the noodles were crispy, and a decently large portion. read more

Been wanting to come here for a while but just never really got around to it. Came here for dinner on Sunday with our friends & was seated right away. I got the macaroni noodles w/bo luc lac (bomb dot com) and my husband got the bot chien (VERY GOOD). We also got a side of banh mi w/butter because I mean, why not. For drinks my husband go the lychee tea & i got a rau ma, hit the spot forsure. Service was mid but isn't it always at places like that? lol Will definitely be back! read more

Every time I pass by, this place is always packed. Its also in a plaza that ALWAYS has something going on. Burning cars, cars driving into businesses, SOMETHING. We had a group of 5, went in for dinner and surprisingly it wasn't crowded (YET) we got seated right away and we ordered bot chien, bo luc lac salad & 2 orders of the bo luc lac w/macaroni noodles. For years I thought this place was just a coffee shop, I remember when it used to be a Warehouse music and VHS rental store. I had a lot of high hopes for this place because the food looks good, but I was really disappointed. The food first off was average nothing special. But what was really disappointing was the service, it's not a surprise but they were just slow in general. I wanna say it's probably because they were understaffed but should take 10 minutes to give me a menu and at this day in age you don't go around and refilling water then imo your service needs improvements. read more

A fun and dingy little Vietnamese cafe with a little bit of everything in the menu. They have a good amount of variety when it comes to drinks as well. While I was craving a Vietnamese coffee somehow I got suckered into getting their Milk Tea with jelly because it looked really good in the picture. Speaking of which everything has a picture of it in the menu so that really helps as well. I had ordered a few things to try like their Shrimp and Pork Roll, their Beef banh mi and the Shaking beef with Macaroni. Out of them all the Shaking Beef was the best in my opinion. The Filet was ver tender and juicy and I enjoyed the vegetables like onions, bok Choi and the sauce it came with. The Beef Banh Mi was a little dry and didn't have any of their pickled radish and carrots in it. The Shrimp and Pork Roll was good and it came with some peanut sauce. This is one of the worst restaurants to dine in. Foods aren't tasty at all. Meats and seafood aren't fresh, and they're poisonous. Too much MSG. Portions are smaller than those in other restaurants. Service is lousy and slow. Employees are unfriendly. All cashiers at the counter are mean, and there is no "Welcome and thank you." Don't know why this restaurant is packed. I think people who eat here can't cook and don't know how to taste foods, either good or bad. Don't recommend it to anyone I know. read more

If you're in the area and want a quick bite in Little Saigon, this is the place to go. There's 2 locations, both located in the same strip mall and both carry the same items on the menu. You can dine single or family style at any time you choose. Wait staff is always helpful and timely with your orders. They make the best Nui xào bò lúc lắc, and bột chiên. We always call order and pick up. The restaurant is always busy. Plenty of parking in the big plaza, many elder like to sit and enjoys the patio seats and it could be reaks of cigarettes smoke sometimes. read more

This place has been around for many years and even opened a second location right next door, but I have never been here until recently. I heard the shaken beef is good here but since I dont eat meat I cannot attest to that. After a badminton session I stopped by here to pick up dinner. I decided to get the shrimp macaroni and their house milk tea. I asked for boba but they didn't have any at the time. It was busy at the time so it did take about 15 minutes for my order. Macaroni brings back a lot of childhood memories for me, so I was excited to eat it from here and it did not disappoint. The portion is a good size, and the vegetables and macaroni was tasty. The shrimp is flavorful but kind of overcooked but it doesn't take away from how good the dish was. The meal comes with soy sauce and chili sauce for dipping. As for the milk tea, it was mediocre and nothing special. I'm giving a 4 out 5 to this place for the macaroni alone because I thoroughly enjoyed it. For the portion, I usually would have split it and eat it twice but it was pretty delicious so I ate it all at once! read more

This place reminds me a lot of the restaurants in Vietnam. In the mornings you'll often see people enjoying coffee and cigarettes outside while chatting and relaxing. (For people who don't smoke this may be something to consider before you come). I love the variety of Vietnamese food this restaurant has, there really is something for everyone! The bo kho was delicious, rich, savory, and perfect for dipping the fresh, crisp baguette it came with. The bo luc lac was another highlight that came topped with a fried egg and served with this sweet sauce that added so much flavor to every bite. I am surprised of the reviews of this spot because this is one of the best breakfast and lunch spots in the area. Our favorite is the Com Suon but any dish is good. They have two spots in the plaza, the main one has more smokers outside and the 2nd one is non-smoking. The service is typical of any Vietnamese restaurant. read more

This place doesn't have any bells and whistles, but is a great staple located in Garden Grove. I've been going here a handful of times and their simple dishes never seem to disappoint. Their dishes with crispy rice are always a favorite of mine. Drinks are okay, but their Vietnamese coffee is super strong. Prices for entrees are reasonable which has made this a go-to for my work group. There's plenty of seating as well as a second iLanet next door so I never had to wait for a table during my lunch trips during the work week. The establishment is also mostly windows and is great to go to on a sunny day. read more

ate at ilanet 2 (non smoking restaurant but only open in mornings and early afternoon) and food was soso good. service was great & they were super nice. not crowded for a saturday afternoon at all! the com chay and braised pork is to die for (a bit salty though so eat it with the veggies). nui xao bo is also a go to whenever i'm here as well read more

The flavor itself wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't anything memorable. It was just okay, and when you factor in the cold food and the presentation, it made the whole dish disappointing. With so many places around Orange County serving bò né at a much higher level, I would probably recommend spending your money elsewhere. If you were wondering whether you missed out on some hidden gem, don't worry, you didn't. This one felt more like a piece of coal than a diamond. That being said, every restaurant has its journey, and with more time, maybe they could have found their footing. Hopefully, they can take this experience as a lesson, refine their recipes, and bring something better in their next venture. I am rooting for you Loi!

It has grilled pork patties and pork belly in a sweet savory fish sauce served with fresh herbs and cold rice vermicelli. You pretty much eat it by wrapping it with the lettuce or dip your noodles into the sauce. Very authentic and delicious without being overly heavy. There isn't much service here since they seem to be super short staffed but they do have delicious authentic Northern Vietnamese food so we absolutely will be back again!
