Came here to try their tiet canh. It's a little restaurant and looks exactly as you expect when you go to get tiet canh. I got the duck blood one and it was so good! They gave you Thai basil, mint, and culantro for herbs, sesame rice paper, lemon, and nuoc Cham. It definitely hit the spot and I'll definitely be back. My friend had searched all of California as she was craving goat udder and found it in a local restaurant in Artesia and flew in from SF for her bday to eat here She wanted to show me that there's more to Vietnamese food than bahn mi and pho and boy did she order a lot of new tastes for me! The menu is mostly Vietnamese bar food. You look inside and what the restaurant assumes the general public doesn't care for is listed only in Vietnamese and the common foods had English translations on it so it may be good to take a friend who can read Vietnamese. The goat udder was nice and chewy. I surprisingly liked it. Fried frog tasted like chicken but when chewed it felt like I was eating fish. Goat salad tasted like the inside of a spring roll where there was peanuts some citrus and lots of fresh herbs. Goat curry tasted like oxtail to me but was Delicious. Extra bread is $3 Clams were sweat broth with spice chopped in with super delicious herbs. The quail reminded me of Peking duck I appreciate having access to such variety of food! read more

Came all the way from SD for their tiet canh. It's the only place we know that sells it! $15 for a plate which is pretty reasonable! The owner is super friendly and offered to pack it in some ice if I was traveling back to SD with it. But I ate it on the car ride and devoured it in 5 mins lol They pack it with the perfect amount of veggies, chilis and lime! This place reminds me of being in Vietnam. The location is more of a hole in the wall place, not the most glamorous and definitely not the most cleanest, lol. Most of the dishes they serve are Viet drinking food. You have your 'tiet canh' (ducks blood) and many types of clams. Try these if you are feeling adventurous! I have also had their goat hot pot which was huge! I recommend getting this only if you have 3 or more in your party as we couldn't finish it between 2 people. Another dish I had was the heo gia cay. It is a this pork soup served with rice noodles on the side. The broth is so flavorful and chock full of chopped up herbs and spices like lemon grass and galangal. Very fragrant! I would recommend coming here if you are looking for authentic Vietnamese drinking food! This place has the best Tiet Canh (duck's or goat's blood pizza) in town. It's a small restaurant that holds about 25 people at capacity, so it's not recommended for big parties. If you have a couple of people who's down to eat good food and have some cold beers in the early afternoon, this is the place to go. They have a lot of nhau (drinking/finger) food to choose from, as well as rice and noodle dishes. They're known for their goat dishes, but everything I have tried here is good. Be warned that it's cash only here and the place close around 7pm. It's a small family owned restaurant with no AC and the owner may look grumpy, but the food is exceptional and once in awhile you'll catch a glimpse of his smile. I came to Binh Dan to order some goat curry to take back to my mom. Its easy to miss and definitely a hole in the wall. I came right as the store opened and the owner was there. She's a sweet mother-like figure and told me the curry would be ready in about 10 minutes. Two orders of goat curry came with 2 baguettes and was less than $25. I brought it home and it smelled sooo good. The potatoes were soft and the goat was fatty, melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness. The curry itself is so fragrant and has a nice spice level. I love to eat it with bread, but my mom prefers eating it with rice noodles. This place has great, prompt service and even better goat curry! The portion size is good. It comes with either rice noodles or bread. When we got there on Saturday morning when they opened, bread wasn't available yet. $13 is very reasonable for the order. [Caveat for this review: I don't speak or understand Vietnamese so please pardon my Western use of words] I decided to get their De 7 Mon (7 dishes) meal ($18), which included the following dishes 1. Thet canh de 2. De nhua man 3. De Ca Ri 4. De Nuong 5. De nuong la lot mo chai 6. De Tiem thuoc bac 7. De xao lan. Ask me what this is? I have no clue! Go with the flow. The first dish was the home-made sausage, which was wrapped in cow stomach and grilled. Served with a shrimp paste sauce. Absolutely delicious! Grade: A The second dish was grilled beef, also served with the shrimp paste sauce. Good! Grade: B+ The third dish was duck blood salad. You get a plate of curdled duck blood served with live slices and a variety of 6+ different herbs and a rice cracker. Add them all together and you have a salad. Not for the Western faint of heart, but worth the try! Grade: A- The fourth dish was a goat curry. Delicious and served with fat rice noodles. Bo Tai Chanh ($9.50) Rare beef mixed with lemon sauce and onions. Several yelpers suggested this dish, so I got it. Wasn't a fan of this. The meat was tough and too thickly cut. Chewy. There was little flavor in this dish. I struggled to eat it. Grade: D Goi Coun Thet Heo Nuong (2 rolls for $3.75). Rice paper rolled with charbroiled pork, grilled onions, veggies. Absolutely delicious! Your typical spring roll with delicious grilled pork. Served with the usual nuoc cham sauce. Refreshing. Ordered "lau de dac biet" (special goat hotpot). But it is not special as it said. The tatse is so typical not thing strong like we are looking in "lau de" (goat hotpot). But it actually is most of beef bone in it and very few goat meat in it (less than 5 pieces). I can taste the difference. The gentleman had asked me how long will it be until I eat them or where am I going with them. I was confused at first, but I simply replied 6 hrs away. Little hole in the wall in the OC where lots of older Asian men congregate. Probably 6 tables at the most in the cramp store front. Their menu consist of the typical beer dishes you see around OC and lots of goat dishes too. Heard this was the place to go for tiet canh vit- coagulated duck blood. Ordered it for Pops cause I'm sorry.....I DO NOT f*€k with it. While waiting for my 2 orders to go, decided to try some of their dishes, my all time fave anywhere I go- the coconut snails and the quail. Both were delicious! The coconut snails had a hint of curry to it which was not overpowering and the quail although looked dry, was actually crispy on the outside and moist on the inside(granted the quail itself didn't have much meat on it). Pops said the tiet canh vit was good and his friends liked it. I can only take their word for it cause again....this homie don't play that.
