In the morning, it can get pretty busy with people stopping by for coffee, but luckily, it wasn't too crowded when we visited, so our food came out pretty quickly. There was also plenty of seating available for both small and large parties. The food was delicious! My dad especially enjoyed the Pho Ga and said the flavor was on point. We also ordered the Sapa Chicken Rice (Com Ga Sapa) and Ha Noi Grilled Pork with Vermicelli (Bun Cha Ha Noi). The prices were on the higher side, but we felt the food was worth it. Was pleasantly surprised by the flavor and quality of the food. Restaurant barely had customers but everyone was super friendly. Ordered the beef stew and bamboo chicken soup. The 2 fans were not effective and people sweating their ass off. Free tea though and that helped a bit. We ordered their signature coffee and it was alright. Go to Re Ca Phe though, trust. The guy gave me a good recommendation. I ordered the mung bean soy rice with a roasted chicken thigh. It was actually delicious. The meat was tender, the rice was not dry and the sauce was a game killer. Dip the chicken in that sauce and boom that is gonna hit you good. Savory, sweet, salty, and a little spicy. I like it lol. We also got sea salt jasmine milk tea, the sea salt cream coffee and egg cream coffee. The drinks was tasty and great tea and coffee flavor, reminding us of our time in Vietnam. The service was friendly and helpful. The owner came out to make recommendations and let us know that the bamboo shoots were imported from Vietnam as were the plates! We went here on Sunday early around 9:30am and got seated right away. It was cold outside so we sat inside. Nice set up and service was excellent. The young female server was quick and friendly. Menu is simple. We ordered the meatballs dish and beef stew with bread. I also had to try the salted coffee as well. Portion was big. The food was a little bland for me. My coffee is good however a little too bitter for me. They have free water station for water and tea so this is a big plus. Parking is fine. Ordered Bún chả Hà Nội , The fish sauce is just right for me . The grilled meat is fragrant, the meat is not that soft enough for old people . The meatballs outside is OK, but the inside of the meatballs still smells like raw meat so I stopped eating immediately. Dear Morning Drip, The drip ain't dripping...during our visit this morning we ordered for 3. 2 drinks and 3 dishes. The drinks did not come out first as they are usually supposed to be. Drinks before food unless you are rude. Egg coffee came so late I finished two dishes sharing with my hubby. The second drink kumquat was out and was not told right away. Which in general check on your customers they are sitting at tables not leaving to-go. Two dishes came out and the third was like cutting teeth getting help. One person looked lost when asking for help for drinks, and just went back to cleaning tables!? The third dish finally came out, and oiled and so wet like in rush to fix a mistake they made. We order with people or machines yet nothing gets done yikes!! Had to still pay the full price for a service that they apologized profusely for being open recently for. My mistake for seeing a cafe and wanting to try out, will not venture out again. Lastly, as we sat down had to explain to clean off the table in viet and English because it is sticky. They have nice bright giant windows, but no AC in august heat and no air circulation. Prepare to sit in a hot glass box for an hour waiting for your food. 8. They also use low quality matcha. 9. Saw this place just opened up so we decided to give it a try. We ordered 3 dishes: fried tofu, cơm chiên bò (beef fried rice) and bún chả Hà Nội (grilled pork Vermicelli) . Fried tofu was stale because batter was undercooked. Couldn't eat it. The vermicelli dish is mediocre, nothing special. The rice dish was the worst! Rice was soggy and flavorless. The "beef" tasted like it had just been boiled and tossed with margarine.. Disgusting! To make matters worse, they charge 3% for card payments. Overall, we will never come back! read more

After months driving by Brookhurst and saw them renovated the outside really nice but then they torn all down redo it not as eye catching as before. Finally they open, so we want to give it a try to see what up. I like the design inside of the restaurant, it looks open and bright, but because it has big door open and without the air screen so I see many flies try to taste my food. Service poeple are new and unexprience so don't expect good service. Maybe they should pay little more to get better service poeple. Owner is cool and thoughtful, he cameby and apologized for bad services. My wife ordered bún mộc but it doesn't taste good, the chicken were so dry and chewy , it was over cooked. I ordered xôi mặn, it taste ok, they gave some shredded chicken and a big chunk of pate but very few small pieces of lạp xưởng. It maybe good to eat this for breakfast but not for lunch or dinner. I see many table order the whole chicken, it comes with salad and xôi but it look messy to eat and cost about $52. Sorry, I can't afford that so I will stick to my Costco chicken. Btw, I ordered egg coffee and macha drink but it doesn't taste good. I think there to many competitors around here with better drink and food. I really hope this place improve SIGNIFICANTLY before their grand opening, otherwise they can not compete with many other Viet restaurants nearby. I was looking forward to trying out this place as a possible new go-to Northern Vietnamese food restaurant as I'm searching for a replacement for Bun Cha 1008, especially after watching a couple of reviews on YouTube. So I brought my out-of-town visiting friends there 2 weeks ago. We all quickly concluded that we would not come back. Here's why: - They don't turn on AC despite mid-summer heat - Their table seems to have a sticky residue, typically of not being wiped clean - Their food lacks flavor and authentic taste (we ordered 2x Bun Cha Ha Noi which don't seem to be charcoal grilled and the meat is chewy, not tender. The lettuce leaves were not washed thoroughly, we can see some residual dirt. My friends ordered the grilled chicken, supposedly their specialty, with Xoi Xeo, which are bland and mediocre tasting. The mung bean on Xoi Xeo is so dry, coarsely grinded, that it looks and tastes more like Xoi Vo. To top it off, the Nem Ran Cua Be tastes no different than a regular Cha Gio! SMH) - Portions are quite small for the price. - We all concurred that overall food quality, taste, price would be worse than food to go places in Little Saigon. So, my search for a good Bun Cha Ha Noi continues, definitely NOT here. P. S.: We also wanted to order the whole chicken (Ga Nuong Tay Bac) but they said it would take 30-45 minutes. Why wouldn't they precook some to have ready, especially on a Saturday which there will be many customers wanting to order that? If they have left over, they can easily choose them up and sell as individual potions/plates with rice on their menu. read more
