The food was absolutely outstanding. Everything tasted homemade and well balanced--not overly salty or greasy. The menu offers a great variety of traditional Vietnamese dishes, so there's something for everyone. Whether you're craving Bun Rieu , vermicelli bowls, rice plates, fresh spring rolls. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food.
They used to give a generous portion, but I guess not anymore. I only got about four small pieces of duck and one thigh that was mostly bone with very little meat. The portion was really disappointing compared to what they used to serve, especially for the price.
Nothing is better than a warm bowl of banh canh when it's chilly outside! I've been on the lookout for a banh canh place and everything pointed me towards DK Cuisine. While banh canh is on the menu, they also serve a variety of different Vietnamese dishes! The interior is more modern than most spots in Bolsa. Super approachable, friendly, and, most importantly, serving up some amazing food! I got their Banh Canh Tom Cua, also known as the seafood udon soup. So comforting and just what I needed! This thicker seafood broth is paired with chewy tapioca noodles. It had tons of toppings including crab, shrimp, quail eggs, mushroom, fish cake, and more! Squeeze in a splash of lime and add a dash of chili and you are golden.
Good selection of Northern dishes from DaNang and Hanoi plus the owner has a northern accent too. Well done here. Super Duper tasty and fast friendly service with 4 service staff and seating available for 12 tables comfortably not bad for a Wednesday afternoon at 13:00 pm. Nice clean restaurant newly renovated and nice clean restroom too. Lots of free parking here today and still busy after 13:30 pm. We like the clear broth and real paddy rice crabs from Vietnam which gives it that Authenticity to each dish. The hot chili paste is very spicy so be careful. Please be patient as good food and quality service takes time and attention. Definitely recommend this new restaurant in Bolsa. Enjoy the sunshine today.
Xin Chào! At DK Cuisine, you can find plenty of comforting Vietnamese dishes. Bun Cha Hanoi: This northern specialty is the ultimate deconstructed noodle plate (or plates?). The main bowl contains grilled pork patties that are soft and a bit smoky. In addition, there are grilled slices of tender pork resting in a fish sauce-based dipping sauce / broth. This is topped off with hefty slices of pickled papaya and carrots. There's a plate of rice vermicelli noodles. Finally, you have a big plate of lettuce, mint, and perilla leaves. Add noodles to the bowl, tear the herbs and greens and throw them in as well, and swish it up. Take bites of the grilled pork and pickled vegetables, then the noodles, and keep repeating. Add some of the red chilies for really spicy heat. After the heat wears down, you can almost taste a bit of citrus. Banh Canh Tom Cua Thit Trung: The tapioca and rice noodles are thick and slippery while softer and lighter than udon. The orange broth is flavorful from all the seafood, as well as thick and starchy. The crab meat is shredded so it can quickly get lost in the mix - try and munch on it first. The pork is sliced into large and thin pieces. The fish cake has a nice supple texture and flavor and the quail eggs are creamy. Parking: The parking lot is huge with plenty of spaces.
Thanks to Yelp, this place was found when I wanted some comfort food close to home. Ordered their popular udon crab shrimp. This was like a 3 out of 5. It's a bit too thick for my liking. I did like the flavor, The one that i did like was the bun cha Ha Noi. That smoky flavor with their rich broth is sooooo tasty. And the abundance of vegi that accompanies is delicious! Service was swift. They had a full house and a lot of to-go orders. The place is decorated cute for a little viet restaurant, and I'd come back given their reasonable Priced!
DK Cuisine was so good. I've had a lot of udon, but their seafood udon was on another level, super flavorful broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and a generous amount of seafood. Easily one of the best seafood udons I've had. We also tried the bún riêu, which was solid and comforting. The portion size was very generous, and they did not skimp on the crab meat at all, which I really appreciated. Portions overall were great for the price, service was quick and efficient, and the place itself is pretty big, so it didn't feel cramped even when busy. Everything came out hot and fresh, and the menu has a lot of variety if you're coming with a group. Overall, this is a spot I'd happily come back to: great food, generous portions, and fast service. Definitely worth checking out.
We knew this place was going to be amazing when we noticed the staff all wearing sweats and all the costumers were older Vietnamese folks that didn't speak any English. We order Bún Chả Hà Nội and Bò Là Lõt. It was so damn good. I've been thinking about that meal, like it has been haunting me ever since. I've been thinking about my next visit. The place was quite busy for a Monday at lunchtime.
Good spot if you want to try other Vietnamese noodle dishes that aren't just pho. My group got their list of recommended specialities. We got #3 Bahn canh tom cua (seafood udon) #4 Bun vit so mang (duck breast & wing with noodle soup) and #6 Canh bun cua dong (patty, shrimp cake in shrimp soup) without the blood cubes. It was my first time trying these types of dishes and they were all very strong in flavor! I wasn't expecting the shrimp soup and seafood udon broth to be so thick, so keep that in mind. The #3 duck itself was nice and tender, with a cleaner broth but heavy on the bamboo flavor. Overall, all the dishes were good and heavily packed with flavor! Service was quick, came on a Saturday with a bit of a wait time but once seated, the food came out quickly.
For the place being busy the service was still good and the place had a homey vibe to it. I got the most popular dish, banh canh, and I thought the soup overall was good. The broth wasn't as thick as I like it but the noodles were nice and soft and the broth had a good flavor. The pork and shrimp eggrolls were delicious, and my partner enjoyed her bbq pork dish with shrimp eggrolls and vermicelli noodles.

The soup was very flavorful and full of different meats. The Chinese donut was crispy and soft, perfect for the soup. The food came pretty quickly and the staff was really nice. This was my second time here, and honestly... the food is life-changingly good. I first saw this spot on Instagram a few weeks ago and finally made it in, and wow... it completely exceeded my expectations. I love trying new foods, especially soups lately, and their bánh canh was incredible. The lemon zest, the crunch from the fried garlic, that thick, the meat and shrimp, flavor of the broth, and udon-like noodles all worked perfectly together. The space itself is super cozy too. Everyone was quietly enjoying their meal, Vietnamese music playing in the background, it genuinely felt like eating in someone's home. The servers are very fast and take your order the moment you sit down. I already came back a second time, and I'll definitely be back again soon.
We waited about 15 minutes to be seated, with two other parties ahead of us. The restaurant felt a bit cramped, as the tables and chairs were very close together. I also wasn't a fan of the cushion chairs -- when I sat down, my jeans felt damp, as if something had been spilled and only partially cleaned. I had to switch to another chair. The food took quite a while to come out, but the flavors were generally good. I ordered the bo la lot, my daughter had the bun bo hue, and my mom got the nem ran cua be. The bun bo hue was okay, though it wasn't as spicy or flavorful as expected. My bo la lot, however, was very tasty. My mom's nem ran cua be took forever to arrive, but it was crispy and packed with crab filling, so it was worth the wait. I also ordered banh canh to go, and it turned out to be quite flavorful as well.
First time going to an viet place that serves other than pho! Service is fast and food is filling. DK cuisine is located in a large plaza parking is tricky but people are going in and out so we eventually found parking. Restaurant is small with table seating, luckily we only waited 10 min due to fast service. They have various of rice and noodle dishes none I've hear of, I got the seafood tomato noodle and hubby got the tomato blood sausage noodle. Food came out within 10 min. The soup was thick warm not too overpowering with fish sauce, seafood was well cooked, lime on side helps cut the richness. Hubbys noodles were interesting, his was a bit more acidic and fish saucy. Overall solid eatery not too expensive and filling. Would love to try the rice dishes my next visit! read more
came here because I was craving their seafood udon and my friend recommended this place so we went together. Banh Canh is bomb! If you love seafood, especially crab you will enjoy it so much. They have plenty of other signature dish and I can't wait to be back and try out different food. There's plenty of shops as well and plenty parking too in the plaza. read more

I have been on a banh canh kick since I had it in Vietnam, and I mean it when I say this has been the best banh canh I've had in OC since Vietnam! The consistency and color is perfect, and the toppings are generous. It is also a decent portion, as we all got to eat a lot of it and shared other items too. I also had their bo la lot, cha gio, and duck noodle soup. The bo la lot was also delicious, because it was a build-your-own-spring roll type of dish. Now, this is a traditional Vietnamese restaurant, and you should know what to expect when going to a traditional asian restaurant. It may not be the cleanest or the most attentive service, but the food will hit like no other. There are a lot of banh canh places in OC, but so far this has been my favorite. Finally got to try this place and of course I had to order the banh canh. The noodles were nice and chewy and the broth was thick. I also added their chili and that added a nice kick. The only thing I think it was missing, which is a personal preference, is lemon to give it a good tangy taste! read more
For our Sunday family get-together, my mom was craving for some bun cha Hanoi (BBQ pork slices & patties with vermicelli), so she recommended DK Cuisine. In her opinion, it's the "best" bun cha in Bolsa, so I was game and up for the challenge to Yelp rate it. Newly located in the Liberty Square plaza on the corner of Bolsa Ave & Brookhurst St, DK Cuisine is on the far side (away from Quán Vỹ Dạ). Parking in this plaza in general can be madness, but thankfully we got lucky and found a decent sized spot, away from the crazy Viet drivers. It's bigger inside than it appears from the outside, but definitely a small mom & pop/hole-in-the wall find. The staff was attentive and nice. While the whole fam practically ordered the same bun cha Hanoi dish ~ $15.99 (#16 in the menu), I opt'd to be different from the clan and ordered their other popular authentic Vietnamese dish..banh canh tom cua thit trung cut ~ $14.50 (#3 in the menu) which is a seafood udon, w/ crab, shrimp, pork, quail eggs, fish cake, in a tapioca noodle soup. My hubs went in the middle and stuck to his usual of bun cha gio tom thit nuong ~ $14.50 (#18 in the menu) which essentially like the bun cha Hanoi but it only has the BBQ pork (not patties), grilled shrimp, and egg rolls served over vermicelli. } to which he enjoyed & liked. We all shared 2 appetizers: the goi cuon/spring roll ~ $11.99/for 4 (#2 in the menu) } it was ok, nothing too memorable for that hefty price and their peanut dipping sauce lacked flavor & denseness to what I'm use to and the nem ran cua be (aka crab meat egg rolls) ~ $15.99 (#17 in the menu) } which was different and good, just a lil oily. To wash everything down, I ordered my usual soda chanh, which was meh and slightly watered down tasting for my liking & a bit too sour and not enough lemony soda for me. I was able to semi-correct it, by asking for more sugar, but I've had better. My daughter & mom (2 of the pickiest people in our fam lol) raved that THIS is their fav bun cha Hanoi, thus far. I tried a bite and it was legit good and had a memorable grilled/charred flavor. I'd rate it #1 right now, closely followed by Bun Cha 1008 as my #2 go-to. My banh canh was pretty good, as well. The broth wasn't overly thick. The udon was cooked to the perfect chewy consistency. There was plenty of friend onion, crab and pork. And the fish cake was flavorful. I'd order it again. In the heart of Westminster, so you already know the Vietnamese food is going to be good. I came here for the banh can and it didn't disappoint. I really liked the texture of the noodles and the fish cakes were my favorite part. I also got to try the bo pha lau and bun mang vit, and both were good as well. The servers were really nice, and the space is actually bigger than it looks from the outside. Everything felt authentic, and I'll definitely be back. read more

The other yelp review was pretty nice and it does have a homey comfort to it. The ambiance was great cause it looks like you're gonna eat food at a Viet grandmas place. So cozy and home vibe to it. The service is ok, nothing to complain and they're doing their job right :) I ordered their tamarind intestine and trip soup with a traditional baguette. The most traditional menu items I can think of during that time, so why not try it. That was so good and gamey, but clean. The tamarind soup is the perfect compliment to the gameness of the meat. This place was pretty solid, I only had one dish and it was the beef meatballs wrapped in some leaf. The fish sauce is so good with the chili and the fresh herbs to craft your own spring rolls is so fun. Overall lovely. Still one of the most consistent Vietnamese restaurants in Bolsa Under $16/ I believe Duck noodle soup with bamboo comes with plenty of duck. Salad on the side is still like crack and the noodle soup is still as flavorful. Fish cake noodle soup is my go to when I want something comforting without being overly indulgent. Every bite is chockful of flavor and the fried fish cake is one of the best. Lots of black pepper throughout and a nice chew. It's $1 for 2 or 3 more pieces of fish cake! When my husband and I went July 4th weekend, it was really popping (no pun intended) and the kitchen was a little backed up. Parking may be worse now because more boba spots opened up. This place has great variety of food. We got canh bun cua dong and banh canh. Everything is great. Both have a lot of toppings. The place is cute and clean. Great customer services. The main reason I came is to try pha lau but they sold out. I will come back and try out that in the future read more

Ordered what seems to be the most popular dish at this place. The portion is SMALL. I'm a petite person (100 lbs) but still hungry after this bánh canh. I don't like thick bánh canh broth either even though I love thick soup such as clam chowder, soup măng cua, beef veg soup, bò kho, curry, etc. Was eyeing on bún vịt but after this experience, I think I'd stick with my regular spot that offers bigger portion for the same price; I have to divide my portion from my usual place into 2 to finish read more

Today, Tuesday March 3, my boss Kevin Do treated four office staff members, his wife, and me to lunch at DK Cuisine during the lunch hour. The first challenge was parking. The restaurant is located in a plaza shared with several other businesses, and during lunch time it was very difficult to find a parking space. After we were seated, my table happened to be directly under an air-conditioning vent, which made it extremely cold. I asked the waiter for a cup of hot water, but instead he brought me a cup of ice water. I ordered Cơm Bò Lúc Lắc. Unfortunately, the dish did not meet my expectations. The beef was very chewy and difficult to eat. The white rice was quite dry, and the sauce was overly sweet. The bell peppers and onions were thrown in together with the sauce and were not properly cooked. To be fair, the portion size was reasonable. However, considering the price, I believe there are other restaurants where you can find better food quality and preparation. Combined with the difficult parking situation during lunch hours, the overall experience was not very pleasant. This was my first visit, and based on this experience I would not recommend the restaurant. I understand every restaurant can have busy periods, and I am simply sharing my honest experience during this visit so others can make their own decision. read more
My family recently discovered DK Cuisine through a friend's recommendation and we have been in love since! This place hit hard whenever we crave authentic Vietnamese food, especially dishes with vermicelli! Here are some of our go-to dishes: Banh Canh Tom Cua/Shrimp & Crab Vietnamese Udon - one of the best banh canh in Little SaiGon in my opinion! The broth is full of crab flavor with the right consistency (not too thin, not too thick). Bun Cha Ha Noi - this is their best dish! Also is the best bun cha I have had! The fish sauce is a perfect balance of sweet and salty! Bun Rieu - my mom really like their bun rieu! I have had better bun rieu, but still really good! Their broth is light, yet flavorful! Bun Cha Ca Nha Trang - this dish was surprisingly good! I have had really good Bun Cha Ca in Nha Trang, since that's where my family is from. They got the flavor spot on! They give you a lot of cha ca, too! Overall, I think they give big portions for a good price! They have a lot of seatings, so perfect for family dinning! Staff is friendly with good service! i feel like the service really makes the experience when eating out. first time trying this restaurant and the service was horrible. i work in the food industry, so i understand that sometimes a younger crowd coming in may have a stereotype at restaurants, however the treatment received was unacceptable. we came in and it was decently busy, so we waited to be acknowledged because there were open tables and no one else waiting. the server pointed to a spot to sit, so my friend and i sat down. the servers made EYE CONTACT with us multiple times and didn't bring us menus or water while they waited on every other table pretty well. we sat down and waited like 5 minutes before having to flag a server down for a menu, at which we just looked at yelp to decide what to order. so when the waiter brought us menus, we gave our order right away. the table next to us sat after us and got their order taken right away. once our food came, i asked for lemons and the waiter never came back with it, so i asked again after they dodged seeing me raise my hand for a few minutes as well. the food is mediocre, there's better places. plenty of seating and casual restaurant. to be honest, i don't think i'd ever come back because the service was probably one of the worst i've ever experienced. completely unprofessional to ignore your customers. read more
