This diner / restaurant is located in the heart of Klein. It's been around for a while. I tried this place in the past, but did not care much for it at the time. Recently, I brought my child here for dinner since Yelpers mentioned that they serve macaroni and cheese. (My son love mac and cheese) When I came in, I sat down and placed my order. As I waited for my food, I could tell that the place was full of regulars since the staff knew most of the customers by name. After a little bit of a wait, our food came out. It was fresh, hot, and oh by the way bacon. Then bacon bacon bacon decided to bacon and bacon bacon. In case can't tell, I LOVED the bacon. So did my son. All of the food was really good. I would definitely come back. My only suggestion for a better experience is speed. If the orders came out just a little quicker I would dine here multiple times a week. Used to eat here a lot. Kind of old and maybe a little dirty but good comfort food. Drove by a day before the Electoral College vote 2020 and there was a huge offensive sign for Trump 2020 that had the word "bull#hit" in the banner. They have lost another long-time customer. I went there the second time this morning. I felt uncomfortable the whole time and the food was nothing special. I had the garden omelet and the veggies in it were few and far between. What they call hash browns were actually cottage fries, which were excellent but a small portion. The biscuit was awful. If I wanted a big square piece of cake I would have ordered it. This was no biscuit. I left most of it on my plate. They don't do social distancing like they are supposed to and every table or both in the joint was available. No employee wore a mask which is mandated. By the counter where you would go to pay is a large display that says Trump across the top. If you are a Trump supporter do so on your own time; I don't need my meal spoiled with politics I will NEVER set foot in this trashy place again. read more

Once again I've fallen victim to my craving for chicken fried steak...... I can't seem to find decent chicken fried steak anymore. I went in to this place hoping for a little county side diner (because it looks like a hole in the wall) One waitress on duty, she was friendly and the whole place had about 15 tables. She told me about the special chicken fried steak and chicken. Now she said lunch special so I'm thinking 8.95-9.95 tops because the steak was thin and small. When I saw a bill for 33.00 for 2 people who ordered 2 lunch specials and 2 drinks, that's ridiculous!!!!! Now to the food. The chicken fried chicken is better than the fried steak. It melted in your mouth. The gravy, it wasn't that good. Our waitress said everything was homemade so when I saw the macaroni and cheese I fell out laughing (see photo) it's definitely boxed Kraft. Mashed potatoes decent, beans just ok and macaroni worse than terrible. Service was ok but we didn't get refills. This is not a place I'd go back and visit again because of the price. Maybe other things on the menu are good but what I had was a little bit less than ok. read more

Came for breakfast with the fam and it was delicious! I saw a one star rating stating "they" are very racist. I am Hispanic and 100% disagree. I was treated very kindly and experienced absolutely nothing of the sort. I had biscuits and gravy. The portions here are large and enough for 2 people to share. My husband and daughter each ordered a full breakfast plate with eggs, bacon, hash browns, etc. They both said theirs was great as well. Our waitress was friendly and very attentive. Every time I come to Bailey's they never disappoint me. They food is always cooked to perfection. There's always open seating and the lady's who work there are very friendly. I've had there breakfast to items off the lunch and dinner menu. My advice to anyone reading this is if you haven't ate there then you need to go and see for yourself. Thank me later. read more

Yesterday was our first visit to Bailey's. We were waited on quickly. We both ordered a cheeseburger basket. He had French fries and i had onion rings. It did not disappoint. This was an awesome burger. The waitress made sure our drinks stayed refilled. read more

Disappointed in the burger and fries we ordered this evening. The bun was stale and had tons of pickles covering it. I had the fries which were good but there were only a small portion. A diner like you would see on triple d. A few tables and booths with some funky decor. Today there was one waitress, but she stayed on top of things. Our drinks were always filled and our food came out quickly and piping hot. This place had a lot of regulars, some came for the daily special, just got whatever it was. We started out with fried mushrooms. The batter was crispy and not greasy. It was so fresh the mushrooms were bursting hot with their juices squirting out. It is served with ranch and/or white gravy. The gravy is good and tasted like pioneer mix. Mom got a blt and chose pinto beans as her side. The beans come in a big bowl with huge slices of bacon. The blt is on toast. The bacon was cooked right and lettuce and tomato were fresh. I had a cheeseburger. The patty is thin, how I prefer, on the same size bun. This was every bite has meat and bread. It seemed hand formed as it was not uniform, cooked well, and not greasy. They serve it with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and mustard. I got the fries and onion rings mix basket. The fries were cooked crispy on outside, tender in all with a sprinkling of spices. The onion rings had a good batter on them. Neither were greasy. Great diner and their breakfast looks good. I had never eaten at Bailey's before but I saw the sign advertising the Jumbo Burger and decided to stop in and try one thinking it must be something special. The Jumbo Burger was also featured on the menu, I ordered one and not only was it not special it was god awful, Big Mac's are better than the Jumbo Burger. I will never eat there again. read more

Tonight around 7:30 my husband and myself walked into Baileys for some hamburgers. We were the only customers at that time. One young lady was on her phone with her back to us at the counter. For about 8 minutes she never knew we were there. Another worker wearing a green Baileys shirt came out from the restroom and told her we were there. She apologized for not seeing us, but she mentioned we were not her table. Our waitress was the blonde girl and she never came to our table because she was on her phone. I had to get our drink refills because either young lady cared. Honestly the blonde needs to be FIRED!! A customer made an over the phone order and she was complaining because they asked for their white gravy on the side. She was complaining she doesn't understand why anyone says that with to go orders, of course it will be on the side. We were there over an hour and she never came over or looked at us. She put her earbuds in her ears and was singing with her music. Wow!! The other young lady was taking care of two to go orders while the blonde laid herself over the counter on her phone. Last time for us to go for a nice burger. We will pay s little more for better service. read more

Great pancakes. Wonderful friendly service. Little hole in the wall place kitty corner from Klein H.S. We heard about their pancakes on the radio so we had to try them. They were very, very good and served with hot syrup. Only complaint - they need a filter for their water. Coffee tasted bad as did the glass of water (city water - post Harvey). I would come here all the time if they had great coffee. Then again...if they had great coffee, the place isn't big enough to seat the crowds that would surely come. There are maybe 8 booths and 8 tables. There is counter seating as well, but not much. This is a not a fancy place at all. Since I love old school diners, it worked well for me. Breakfast lunch and dinner served. $6 for two large pancakes. $3 coffee. Not bad. But I'll skip the coffee next time. read more

Love Bailey's for breakfast! My girls love their pancakes! And My husband and I love the Omelettes, their hashbrowns (breakfast potatoes), and the HUGE biscuits. There are some comments about the pricing... But EVERYWHERE has gone up. Businesses have to raise prices. If you are going out to eat, expect to pay for it. Used to eat here on a fairly regular basis. I always thought the prices were quite high for the food quality served. Used to be immaculate which I consider a must. Then that went away. Then in the past six years the owner decided to join a cult (MAGA) and as cultists do, she decided to hang banners and images throughout the place. Not appealing to anyone other than those in the cult. Last time there, a Sunday, my wife and I entered and the place was half full. You usually had to wait a good while on Sunday's to get a seat. All the unoccupied tables had yet to be bussed and cleaned. The wait staff yelled out it would be a while but to just sit anywhere. We just turned around and left. Sadly, as a lifelong resident of Klein this was once a "go to." We used to go here after Mass and during the week as my wife and I both work for the local school district. Sorry to say, we have eaten our last meal here. read more

I mean, I never leave feeling happy or clean. But there's the rush of the moment: scarfing down a deep-fried chicken fried steak sandwich and a combo of fries and onion rings chased with a gallon of sweet tea - let's just say I challenge you to come up with any sorrow that greasy mess can't smother. Drove to Spring to meet with our wedding photographer, suddenly I was hungry for just some good ol' country home style food. Did a quick search on yelp and this place popped up. Exactly what I wanted. Soon as we walked in, I thought we had traveled back to the 90's. That's the decor the got going on. Also, went there on a Saturday afternoon. Place was dead. Had to call and make sure they were open. Service was incredible, but then again, my wife and I were the only costumers there. LOL. The girl was super attentive. Best attitude ever. The food was good. Home-style. She got a burger, I got the frito pie. and a root beer float (and they only use Blue Bell ice cream!) I was more than satisfied with the taste. Kinda reminds you of the way your mom's burgers taste on a Saturday family picnic. They also have this fresh made sauce. ask for it next time you go. There's another country place across the street that honestly looked even more inviting, but we gave Bailey's a try instead and left with happy tummies and fully satisfied. Great old school small town feel diner and one of the few things still around for us native Houstonians although it was at a different location. Old pictures on the wall bring back memories. Breakfast was OUTSTANDING! Good size portions, tasty bacon, home fries dead on and the biscuit, my oh my! Baked high, cut in squares like sweet cake! Service was great too! Wait a minute! I got here at 0930 Seating is very limited. Country cafe atmosphere. Bailey's is the kind of place local law enforcement and ambulance crews frequent because they know the food is good! 0950 still waiting for food. They do need to update their furniture - booths are torn. Chairs are ripped. Plaid curtains are dated and ugly. They also need new ceiling tiles in the kitchen area. Air ducts are......well-seasoned. 0955 food is served. Eggs were great! Bacon was chewy and had very little flavor. Biscuit and gravy very good. Service was good and friendly. Although I was disappointed with the bacon and the furniture, I like this place! I'll definitely come back. I think next time I'll try the omelettes. They looked delicious! read more

Baileys has the biggest biscuits that I've seen! Their breakfast food was awesome. My only complaint would be the rudeness of the Manager. She will yell at you if you attempt to seat yourself, especially if you attempt to sit at a table that wasn't wiped down. She seldom smiles and I even witnessed her getting into an argument with one of the waitresses in the middle of the restaurant. Despite the Managers rudeness, we still eat breakfast there. Amaaazzzinnng alllll daaaaaay. My parents live here for breakfast. I'm not huge on breakfast but their pancakes are the size of your plate and fluffy and amazing. Leanne is the sweetest woman I have ever met and almost knows customers orders by heart, and always helps smaller tables get their orders in before big tables. Now dinner, I love going to dinner here with my dad. Burgers delicious, cheeseburgers? even better. I have never had a better chicken fried steak. The fish is good, the chicken sandwiches are good, the chicken strips, the gravy...pretty much everything is amazing. If you want that small hole in the wall mom and pop eatery all to yourself.
