So they finally opened this joint in the Circle of Orange after months and months and months....it is part of a chain but this is probably the best location. I have tried most of their toasted bagels and sandwiches and they are fairly decent. Good for breakfast or lunch and they actually have some healthy options. Oh, Bagel Me! Love this place. Always bustling, but we're usually in and out (or with bagel) in 5 minutes or so, so it's not a big deal. My favorite is the nutty monkey bagel (cinnamon bagel with crunch peanut butter and banana slices!) and my bf always gets a salt bagel. They employees are always really nice and happy to accommodate my annoying requests like "easy light cream cheese, toasted dark" and such. :) It's a prime spot for people watching in the circle, too! read more

Not my favorite bagel place. I've been here a couple times and I always regret going because there are so many better places in the circle. Is it really hard to toast bagels and smear cream cheese on it? My bagel is usually overly toasted. The only redeeming quality I find here is their bagel chips. Just not worth it. If I could describe thoroughly how disappointing every visit has been, you just might not want to come here. Briefly: The third to last time I went to bagel me, they "ran out" of half their bagels by 11am. I settled for an egg bagel. I specifically asked for 2 cream cheese on the side, letting them know TO CHARGE me because I did not want to have to get up after I start eating. Surprise surprise, I had to get up, order another cream cheese, and on top of that... Pay for a third cream cheese. My bf really likes coming here because it's 2 minutes away driving. The second to last time we were here, the bagels were so damned DRY that both of our jaws literally started to hurt and I absolutely could not finish my bagel. After this, I decided I really was not a fan of bad service, having to pay extra for them messing up my order, and for dry bagels that were over priced. The very last time, today. My bf and I are leaving town, he thought it'd be nice to quickly grab some food and hit the road. Because of past experience, I just grabbed a big cream cheese from the little fridge. My bf ordered a cheese bagel with turkey tomatoes mayo lettuce etc. I then ordered a cheese onion bagel. When we got our food my bf wanted to leave immediately. With their track record, I wasn't going to leave without checking the order. As I suspected, they screwed it up for the very last time. They gave me an untoasted, soggy, plain onion bagel. When my boyfriend told her it was supposed to be a cheese onion bagel, she said she only heard " onion". Well, little lady, I'm pretty sure I said "cheese onion bagel." Not "soggy onion," and not "cheese ONION!" so that all you hear is onion. Bad news travels fast. In his economy, you don't have room for consistant bad service. People hardly spend money, but when they do, it better be a well rounded place. Fortunately, I learned my lesson. They do not deserve our business. I will no longer return to this establishment. Well, here I am again. This is my "go to" place when I work weekends. The bagels with cream cheese are always tasty no matter which one you choose and the bagel sandwiches are always amazing. As always, I ordered the turkey, bacon and avocado with a side of fries and of course, it was delicious. Not sure how people can complain about price when it's clearly listed. If you don't feel that the price is fair or reasonable then it's pretty easy to not make a purchase. As far as the wait...well, this is a small place with a small kitchen, so if you have a simple order it is still worked on in the order it was received. And the service has been better. One of the managers from Bagel Me read my review sent me a message apologizing for my bad experience(s) in the past and said that they were working on improving the service there.... I LOVE YELP!! (so, to be fair, I am changing my original two star review to a three star review) Bagel Me has service that is basically non-existent. I have made many trips here and have even phoned orders in and it never fails that they screw up my order. It takes them 15 minutes to toast up a bagel which being on a break just doesn't cut it. I had on two occasions have to ask them what's up with cold fries that I paid extra for and on top of that they serve fries like there was a shortage of potatoes. I must say that the sandwiches are good.... But, I can make a bagel sandwich faster than they can... Screw sitting in the patio and taking in the antique-y scenery. How does a bagel protect itself? I really like this little bagel shop located in the Orange Circle. It seems that anything trendy or corporate doesn't do very well in the Circle (I'm talking to you Cherry on Top), but Bagel Me has that corner bagel shop feel. The location is nice, the staff is friendly, and the bagels and other food taste great. Typical selection of bagels and spreads, along with your greasy bagel omelet, and assortment of coffee and smoothies options. The bagels themselves are large and have a good fresh taste. I love coming here before football starts on Sunday and picking up a few toasted bagels to start the day. It's also a neat place to sit and people watch if you choose to "dine in". The only negative is that Bagel Me can get very crowded in the late morning on weekends and there's nowhere to really stand around a wait. Other than that, I have yet to have a negative experience. And the fact that you can order online if you are in a hurry is a HUGE plus for the Bagel Me restaurants. read more

Husband had a craving for bagels before we hit the road up north to the bay. So, I googled bagels and came up with this place. We took a shot in the dark and headed towards Bagel Me and were delighted to find it in this cute little sunny plaza. We entered to find a variety of yummy looking bagels and an extensive menu. My husband and mother in law had bagels with flavored cream cheese while I ventured for the veggie omelet. My veggie omelet was basically a melange of vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, bell peppers, etc.) and cheap cheddar in a basic omelet. Edible? Yes. Delicious? No, definitely not. The rest of the family's bagels were decent, but with a very meager portion of cream cheese. They screwed up the tea by giving us green tea when we asked for black. Turns out they were confused because none of the tea bags said "Black". We had to point to which tea we wanted... apparently Green was closer to Black than Earl Grey. Also, please, please, please keep in mind that their coffee is the worst coffee that I believe I've ever attempted to drink in at least 2 years. Just disgusting, really. Do NOT order coffee here. Fast food I'm sure has better coffee. Overall, this place was inviting at first, with a great location, but a sore, sore disappointment. read more

The staff is always friendly and the bagels are always good. I also enjoy the Peanut Parade Smoothie as a quick after gym snack, but Liz doesn't care for my breath afterwards. Call your order in ahead of time because they usually have a line out the door. And if you hit them between bagels coming out of the oven, they might be out of your favorite flavor, though I've often waited 10 minutes for a fresh batch to come out of the oven. This place is pretty good but a little bit pricey for me. I usually get a bagel with eggs, cheese, bacon, avocado, & tomato on it & it usually comes to abt $11 with tax. I don't mind splurging on foods but for me I think $11 is a bit much for a bagel sandwich. So I don't go to BagelMe often. Tucked into a quiet corner of the downtown square, they have the ideal spot for a late morning breakfast. Bagels are boiled, crunchy on the outside, nice and chewy on the inside. Cream cheese is spread mighty thin though. I know it costs money for cream cheese, but please, a bit more isn't going to kill your profits. I love bagel me, but there's been something off about this one since it first opened. It takes a little longer to get your food here, the staff is a little more rude. I don't know. Today I called my order in. When I arrived, my order had been accidentally given to somebody else. No apology, just an "I know" when I told her I was in a hurry and that's why I called it in. The girls were chatting with each other and standing around while there was a massive water spill by the drink station that nobody attempted to clean. I get it, mistakes happen. Ok apparently I have not been here for a year or so because everything has gone down hill. First, the staff is not very friendly or helpful. Second, the food I ordered was HORRIBLE. I ordered the Lox and a egg and bacon sandwich. There was 2 very small pieces of salmon on each bagel that was covered by a small slice of tomato. I'm 90% sure I was given the wrong order they took back from the gal that was ahead of me because by the time I received it the bagel was ice cold. The egg and bacon was pretty bad as well. The egg looked like something I get when I stay at a holiday inn express, something of the synthetic origin. It didn't even get near the edge of the bagel. I can only hope that Bagel Me follows in the footsteps of RadioShack and leaves the circle so we can get someone in who cares. read more

The bagels and cream cheese we have picked up in the past have been good, but my latest experience was less than great. They told us they were out of the bagel we wanted, and then after we had ordered we noticed that they were right there in the case. The cashier didn't bother to check. When we got home and opened up our food, one bagel had a passable amount of cream cheese, but one had barely anything and was warm but not toasted. A bit frustrating considering a bagel with cream cheese is pretty simple. I have a tough time leaving negative reviews but this place needs work. read more

Once I get there they tell me it's a five dollar minimum, so I had to leave as I only had a credit card and am unwilling to buy more just so I can get a bagel. The signed said they opened at 7am yet the doors were still locked and no one in sight... not a great first experience. If you say you open at 7:00am then have the decency to do so.. I had ordered an onion bagel with jalapeno cream cheese after my doctor's appointment today, my version of the lollipop you get after seeing your pediatrician as a kid. I couldn't wait to devour it! Once I had ordered it, I started reading all the reviews which were mixed. The people that worked there were really nice and while my order hasn't gone through right away through Yelp, the guy at the front helped locate it and made my bagel right away. This bagel place had all the bagel combos you could want egg sandwich, pizza bagel, toasted, cream cheese. They also have drinks smoothies and coffee drinks all very good. During Halloween they have a pumpkin bagel which is super delicious with butter and cinnamon! I highly recommend it one of my favorites during October!! read more

This place has good cheese bagels. They're expensive though. The lox and cream cheese is overpriced for how much they put on it. I paid $10 and ordered a jalapeño cheddar bagel with lox and cream cheese without the chips and added avocado. They put a barely decent amount of lox but they couldn't at least cover the bagel with a reasonable amount of avocado. And they got my order wrong it was just a jalapeño bagel. No cheese. They weren't busy I was the only person in there. And for $10 a bagel it would be nice if you could at least get the order right and make it decent. They put a lot less cream cheese on this time too.
