My favorite Onion Bagel w/ Cream Cheese
    Chun M.

Sometimes when you're driving to work early in the morning, you go on auto-pilot and then your stomach does the rumblies and you're hankering for some breakfast. So if you're going up the Clearview Expressway, you can see this light off the overpass, and you quickly take the 35th Ave exit because you want a freshly baked bagel at 6AM. A warm onion bagel with a generous schmear of cream cheese is just what you need. $2.89? Eh, it's aight. Take a quick bite of the chewy, bready, creamy, crunchy texture and I turn around to get right back on the highway. I'll finish the rest off later, otherwise the cream cheese is gonna squish out all over the car. Mmmm...

I don't care what anyone else says this is the best bagel I've had in NYC. I am German and in our home bread is a big deal. I grew up on bagels. I eat bagels several times a week and I've tried all the best places and only one other place has great bagels like these and it's in Williamsburg. They are always busy and it's worth it. But the line goes fast. They have a good system going so you never wait long. In all the years I've been coming they've never made a mistake on my order and they are friendly. I do wish they'd make more cheese flagels but that's my only complaint. They also have wonderful pastries.

Scooped out everything bagel scallion cream cheese and lox

Um, figured I'd give this spot another try. It's been a long time since I've been back here. When I buy bagels I almost always get my favorite thing which is... Scooped out everything bagel scallion cream cheese and lox. Cost about $10 here... So I got home and they gave a ton of cream cheese... Some people like that. I thought it was a bit over kill. I could of made a 2nd bagel sandwich using it. Honestly, I just didn't like any of it. The cream cheese tasted kind of strange. I remember their bagel tasting much better before this one taste kind of stale. Omg their lox, was not good. I usually eat this sandwich in quarters...so I open up half then divide the lox and chow down. Sadly I ate 1 quarter and was disappointed threw out the rest. Had to make myself cereal instead :( Guy helping me was nice and did the best he could. The place was pretty busy. From the last time I was here their setup inside the store changed. Maybe due to covid... I went on a Saturday or Sunday... Service was a bit slow and still there was a line leading outside. While waiting outside I noticed the health dept gave them a "B" rating. Not a good sign... On a positive note... I didn't see the old guy who used to be grumpy and try to help people lol... Guess the only reason the place is open is due to the location. Schools near by, access to the parkway,... So convenience... If they put in some actual effort it could of been an amazing place

Burnt Flagel they gave me ... it's a brunt regular bagel!

You're on your way to work. All you want is an everything Flagel with veggie CC to enjoy with your coffee. I'm willing to pay $4.64 for this Flagel to support a small business. So you grab the bag, pay the cashier, your back in your truck, and on your way.... Then, you open the bag and unwrap this! If you're the owner of this shop, ask yourself, is this how you want your business represented (?) Be careful business owners - when you're hiring, remember the good workers are taken, and you're left with the bottom of the barrel from available quality people to hire... your business will suffer because of things like this. Work and traffic SUCK - your morning Flagel SHOULDN'T!

This is me and my friend Andrea G's breakfast grab n go spot before our beach day. I absolutely love their Asiago Cheese Flat (usually gets sold out pretty quickly). My favorite spread is the Spinach and Garlic cream cheese mmmm The line is always out of the door because the bagels are so fresh and their cream cheese spreads are so delicious with many varieties to choose from...you know =) You can use your credit card with a minimum purchase of $10.

First time trying NY bagels and they did not disappoint. Service: We ordered about 5 different bagels and the person helping us was able to remember all of it with her only asking once again for one of them. Though it took a while for them to be ready, the fact that she remembered all of it and got our orders right is great. Quality: I personally got the honey wheat with lox. The bagel was dense, but not hard. The lox cream cheese is a bit salty and didn't have salmon pieces like others I've tried, but it was still good otherwise. My bagel had a generous amount of cream cheese and it paired well with my honey wheat bagel. The only thing I wish they had was a label or a menu for the bagels. Aside from the common flavors (e.g. plain, everything, raisin, etc), there seems to be way more than that and I wasn't sure what else they were.

This is my bagel with cream cheese.

I'm getting pretty tired of this place. I think it's mainly the old guy that works there. Every time I go there my bagels are so skimpy. Practically no cream cheese. I ordered my bagels scooped and toasted but look at the photos. You can't even tell there's cream cheese in this thing. Come on. I have to order 1/4 of cream cheese on the side and add it to my bagel to have a decent bagel? I don't want to be that guy but if I go back I'm just going to have to avoid him and just refuse to let him serve me.

Walking in, you see green, lots of it in the form of lush plants and flowers everywhere. There is no over powering scents and the high ceilings do make the space feel open and calm. The counter to order is closer to the rear of the store and there's plenty of cafe style seating and communal seating all around. In warmer months, they put small tables and chairs outside on the sidewalk. The artisanal coffee here is what sets them apart. Bold flavor choices, robust and velvety varieties. Many options to choose from, check out the menu pics. I had the Americano and loved it. We also ordered hot food while hanging out. As they are popular for brunch, Jo and I shared the lemon curd blueberry pancakes as well as the savory salmon lox pancake. We likely over ordered but didn't mind, as we're always open to trying more dishes. The lemon curd blueberry was our favorite. I liked that there was extra lemon curd on the side and the blueberries were fresh. They were lightly dusted with powered sugar and thankfully not bathed in syrup. It was a light and satisfying dish even though it was pancakes. Didn't feel heavy at all. The ice cream was a nice touch so you could consider this as a dessert. The lox and eggs were really good as well. Those pancakes were topped with tomato, greens and avocado. Like a full meal on a plate. So glad we shared everything. I'd totally recommend a dine in experience so you can try the food once it's prepared. We both bought sandwiches to go for our family and those held up well considering it needed to be transported home. I recommend the ham and cheese croissant sandwich.

The tables are close enough and small enough to hear what your neighbors are saying to each other, imagine what they think of you? LOL I noticed speaker music was playing a bit louder then the last time I was there. The fact that patrons have to shout over each other while sharing speaker music doesn't help with the ambience of enjoying a delicious cake over an interesting conversation. I ordered something new this time, a delicious lava cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Why didn't I see that description on my check? Strange. I also visited their website online, and noticed a lot of Stock Ai made photos and videos. I even found the website hard to navigate as well because it wasn't loaded with actual cakes and up to date pricing. So quite honestly the online website wasn't helpful with what they had in the shop. * Perhaps a future improvement between tables might be an above head moveable divider which actually could provide some privacy. They are open before the crack of dawn at 6am until 1am on Friday & Saturday nights. I imagine that the ovens never cool off and the bakers are there on the overnight shift to bake plenty of cakes ready for the next day. It's not unusual to still have a line to order out at 10-11pm and the display cases are still packed with cakes & pies.
