He took the time to listen to what I wanted to send and put together a great spread for them to enjoy. They made a variety of different sandwiches, potato and macaroni salads, fruit, a cookie tray and a box of coffee. There bagels are pretty good- they are big and airy, with a little crunch on the outside. The problem is when these bagels bake, they stick to the conveyer they are placed on, and the grate cooks marks into the bottom of the bagels. That also seems to take all the toppings off the bagel, so my everything bagel only had everything seasoning on the top. A little bummed about that. Cinnamon walnut cream cheese was too sweet and had too much cinnamon in it. The scallion cream cheese good. Overall, not a perfect bagel, but some of the best I've found in the area. read more

They are a very busy super-deli that make a lot of great food. Their bagels are top ten in the state, if not a little higher. They offer several different cream cheese options, from chocolate chip to walnut. They make different kinds of sandwiches and wraps and salads, and they also offer up a beverage bar! I tried their new donuts and got the white chocolate chip one, which was delicious! Super disappointed. I went very early in the morning, still dark out. Ordered an egg bagel with cream cheese. I get out to my car and on the road to work and take a bite, had to spit it out because my egg bagel was loaded with poppy seeds!! Why? Just why?? How disgusting and disappointing. This place is horrible when it comes to service I don't know why it is always packed to be honest . firstly they messed up our orders twice on two different occasions my boyfriend ordered a pork roll egg and cheese and they gave me someone else's order that had bacon, sausage and porkroll on it so they messed up that order . and then another time my boyfriend ordered a sandwich for me that had lettuce and tomato and it only had tomato. They don't even pack their bagels , my usual is a pork roll egg and cheese, and they skimp out on the pork roll with like two slices . Bagel boy is my favorite bagel spot in NJ! I always come here for a breakfast sandwich when I visit some weekends.. in fact I drive 15 minutes out of my way to get here from my mother's house. I could easily go to other bagel places closer to me but this is MY FAVORITE! I even buy in bulk (because I live in Connecticut) and freeze them. My favorite is the blueberry. Excellent bagels, excellent hours. It's in a great location and they are always baking something. The bagels are extremely fresh, doughy, and have terrific flavor. I've also had their bakery items and they are something not to forget! Their spreads are also very good. They are also always busy. The lines are usually to the door but they keep people moving so that helps out a lot during its morning rushes. The northeast has a plethora of bagel shops so there's never an occasion to feel really disappointed, but this one hits the nail on the head. Great spot to get your eat on especially early in the morning. This is where my co worker gets her bagels in the morning to drop it off in our work lounge area. My favorite here is the garlic bagel. Great bagel joint in Old Bridge, although in no way is it any different from any other bagel shop you'll go to in NJ. The bagels are good and they have a wide selection of different kinds. Unfortunately, can't say the same about cream cheese options. They do have quite a big array of breakfast items, sandwiches, and salads to choose from though if you're not feeling a bagel. Prices are decent and staff is good. There is always a huge line (a line so long, it's often wrapped around the establishment). The staff works hard to keep things moving fairly quickly though. This probably explains why they have no time to small talk or even smile when taking your order. I would definitely consider this my bagel go to when in the area. This is NJ. There is no lack of bagel places, so it is my belief a company with a lot of competition should never rest on it's laurels. For thanksgiving I called in an order for 2 and 1/2 dozen muffins. They told me it would be no problem and that I could come pick them up when they opened. I was there around 530. The muffins were wrapped and ready to go. I get a coffee, pay 65 bucks or so for them, and go to work to share the love. I open the boxes only to see that two of the muffins were absolutely burnt. I was so disappointed. Especially since I talked this place up to my coworkers. With the boxes being wrapped up I didn't get to see the product until it was too late. I can't believe I don't have a review in for bagel boy. This was a staple during my high school years, and now I take my husband here each time we are back in town. There's no bagel like a jersey bagel, and no bagel like bagel boy. My husband swears by this place now. When we're in town, he gets a dozen or two to hold him over until we return. He freezes them and they heat up perfectly. Their homemade cream cheeses are great too, make sure you get larges because you will run out! I ordered food from this place using their on-line service, as they suggest. It said the food would be ready in 35 minutes. I at Bagel Boy 30 minutes later. I waited in line and then told the man at the counter that I was picking up and gave my name. He looked for the order. Nobody seemed to know where it was. He told me it would be a couple of minutes. People walked in Bagel Boy ordered the same sandwich (pork roll egg and cheese) and got it and left. I was still standing there. I asked the man at the counter where my order was. Another man came over and started yelling at me that they had a problem with the system and they didn't know about my order. When I explained that I told the man at the counter about it 25 minutes later I got more yelling from this second guy and he told me to just wait there until it was ready. Finally someone asked for my name 20 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready. He apologized and said he would make it next. He then tells me part of my order can't be filled because now they're out of the item so I replace it. Food is just okay, severely overpriced but not as good as it is supposed to be. From a nasty tasting cheesesteak for 10$ plus, to a tiny little salad that was so sour I couldn't eat it , and to sum it up-a bagel and tuna salad, tuna fresh, but bland, no basic salt and pepper seasoning, I'm sure if I asked for that I would have been charged additional. I grew up in Old Bridge and have been a customer for years. However, I now live in Maryland so BB is always on my list when I visit. Not only do I love their bagels, the delicious tuna fish, and their spreads and lox...I have always been impressed with their employees. When I was a teacher at the high school, I always met with good conversation on my lunch breaks. When my dad was sick and on hospice, one of the employees that knew him well went above and beyond each time my mom came in to ask about him and make his favorite bagel at the beginning of his illness. She got tears in her eyes when learning he passed. Today I needed to send some platters locally to my best friend whose father passed. Skylar took her time assisting me with patience to make sure I got what was needed with SAME day delivery to my friend.
