Without a doubt, my new favorite breakfast and brunch restaurant in Central New Jersey! The food is exquisite with a healthy flair bursting with flavor! I finally found that amazing breakfast and brunch spot. I've been looking for for the longest time! I'm not going to be able to tell you when words how great this place is in my review today. You're just gonna have to go there yourself. All I'm saying is that this is far away the best breakfast and brunch place I've ever eaten in my life. And I understand that their lunches are also great which I'm gonna have to do someday but I'm so hooked on their breakfasts that I can't Break free of them. Their fancy scramble breakfast includes fluffy, soft scrambled eggs, along with sort of a Pusheta tomato base with fresh Muzzarella! This is about as close to heaven as you can get. Look at my picture and order this breakfast when you go. The only catch is that toast is not included with breakfast so I always order a piece on the side. Another time I had their Mediterranean omelette! Which is basically a Greek omelette which put me in heaven as well! I wanted to try something else on their menu and it did not disappoint. You could see my picture too, again with this dish I did order a piece of toast on the side. The vegan stack is also outstanding and a unique dish to offer for breakfast! Every bite delicious! We love Pauly!!! Thanks so much for a delicious breakfast. As a heads up, there's music playing and gets loud with all the customers. The daily French we split as an appetizer and was delicious! I also loved the vegan stack, side of lox, side of egg whites complete with sriracha and spicy mayo. :D Pauly our server was attentive and they have staff everywhere helping out. My boyfriend and I stopped by for brunch at around 1:30 pm on a Sunday and we were thankfully seated right away despite the place looking pretty busy. The christmas decorations hanging from the ceiling were cute and there was a welcoming atmosphere. We ordered the steak and eggs, chocolate milk, and avocado benedict-ish. The chocolate milk was lacking in chocolate flavor and when the food came out, we were a bit underwhelmed by the presentation. As benedicts often come with potatoes/salad on the side, I was disappointed to see that it was just the benedict itself. My bf asked for his steak to be medium, but it looked more undercooked than requested. Otherwise, the meal wasn't bad and I appreciated the amount of avocado on both of our meals. The steak was flavorful, although questionably chewy at times. Overall, Over Easy Kitchen wasn't bad and is definitely a solid brunch spot, but I would say that there are better ones in the area. read more

Over Easy Kitchen is a breakfast and lunch staple in Central Jersey. I visited the the Holmdel location and they are focus first on providing excellent food, decor, and service. I definitely agree that their dedication holds true because of the the place was decorated beautifully with flowers hanging from the ceiling and sweet servers. I ordered the seasonal Ube Matcha and it did not disappoint! It was smooth, sweet, and tasted like high quality matcha. My only suggestion would be for it to have more ube because the flavor isn't too prevalent - however I still enjoyed it! My friends and I had a decent time at Over Easy Kitchen. The ambiance was cute, and the menu was easy to understand. We were definitely pushed to order fast and leave quickly, which was not the vibe that we were expecting. Food came out reasonably quickly. I got the steak sandwich which had a pretty strong mustardy flavor. I was also expecting the onions to be a bit more caramelized. One of the best restaurants places in Marlboro, NJ for breakfast/brunch. I've been here a few times because of how close it is to my house, but I don't just come here because it's close, but because it's also pretty good! Compared to similar places like Turning Point, Almost Home general, the wait times to be seated here aren't hours long, the service is good, and the food is even better. The coffee here has always been enjoyably strong here and the london fog latte I had this time was one of the best london fogs I've had. The truffle mayo fries I think were okay. They have come so far from when they first opened and the menu has expanded so much. The restaurant itself is beautiful, I would definitely recommend making a reservation if you are coming here with a larger group (especially on a weekend). Service is always excellent. I have been to this location quite a few times, to be honest they're very lucky with their location because they get a lot of Holmdel people who come here because it's trendy and they have the money to spend and be taken advantage of. Occasionally, my employer will get us lunch, last time I ordered a sandwich; it always used to come with the side salad. This time the spring mix which is MAYBE a handful is now a $3 up charge or else you get a crappy little plastic container of coleslaw. Another way for owners to be greedy and get more money, I will never step foot in this place again because it's overpriced and overhyped. read more

We didn't realize that you have to make reservations 24 hours ahead, so just a heads up when visiting. We arrived at about 10:30AM on a Saturday with a party of 6. we were able to get seated. However, we were asked to leave by 11:30AM due to other reservations that were to come. The restaurant is in a plaza, so parking is also a breeze. The décor inside was really awesome! They had two items on special. My cousin actually went with the one special for $20, a short rib eggs benedict served on a waffle. I did taste it, and it was delicious. The only thing I would have liked personally was. If I had ordered the dish, it was more hollandaise sauce. I went with the caramel dream for $6.00 along with the birria grilled cheese for $20.00. It was really delicious. The grilled cheese had short rib on it, which was outstanding. My only complaint is that it was a grilled cheese? And the cheese wasn't even melted. Yummy brunch spot in Marlboro area that has really kicked it up a notch! Haven't been here in awhile but glad I made the comeback. Usually busy but staff is nice and accommodating. This place is BYOB and they have juices for champagne. Additionally they had some specials going on, including a Flan French Toast that was decadent!! I tried the fancy burrata toast and I felt real fancy! The burrata, pesto, arugula, and poached eggs were everything that I needed on a rainy Saturday morning. I was honestly impressed by how good it was. I would definitely recommend it as a nice savory brunch meal. Of course, we had to get the Greek fries on the menu!! We opted for the tzatziki sauce on the side, and boy, was that another great decision!! The fries were perfectly cooked, and the sauce was phenomenal and I wish I got some to go (lol). Everytime I see this picture i just want to throw up. How could something this big not be caught while prepping a meal? My poor 4-year-old was gagging after seeing this. After coming back from the bathroom, making sure my child wouldn't throw up, all the manager could say was, "Sorry, our salads are pre-washed." They took care of the bill. Ok so the prices are a little steep. I'll say that right away. BUT, the quality of even one slice of toast that you're paying $16 for is worth it for the craft and quality of the dish. The toast itself is so beautifully toasted, buttery and almost caramelized to become something else entirely - a rich, slice of gold. The "⁣C.R.E.A.M" (Brioche French toast, roasted peach, blueberries, matcha whipped cream, toasted oats, maple honey syrup) was incredible. I had the pleasure of having lunch with my wife here after "blackballing" it a few years back upon having a not great experience. They have turned this place around. It has been expanded on the inside and it is now warm and inviting. I started with a nice hot cup of mocha coffee....which arrived with a nice stenciled "OEK" on top of the froth. Well made and tasty. I ordered the burrata BLT and my wife had the steak sandwich. She received the regular fries and I splurged for the truffle Mayo version. We shared our food so I can report on each. The burrata sandwich was well presented and contained prosciutto and a breaded beefsteak tomato with a great dressing/spread that added to the flavor palate. Her steak sandwich was moist and contained cheese, peppers and onions as well as a chipotle Mayo which was ordered on the side. She asked for another sauce on the side in addition (I forget exactly what it was) but it worked better with the sandwich and REALLY elevated it. The truffle Mayo fries were simply outstanding. They maintained their crispy texture even with the Mayo drizzle which was definitely generous. Overall experience? Excellent! They will now be part of the regular rotation. This is a divine brunch spot! This is my review from my visit in early November 2020. There are a lot of great choices on their menu that aren't found at most breakfast or brunch restaurants. I HIGHLY recommend the lemon ricotta pancakes! The berry compote was sooo good and the pancakes were very fluffy. I think the whipped cream was homemade too, sooo delicious. The pancakes were very big and worth the price! However they don't come with syrup, you have to pay extra for maple syrup. I think it's pretty standard at restaurants that all pancakes should come with syrup, then charge extra if you want maple syrup. I ordered a side of home fries also, and they were so savory, seasoned well, and had a nice crisp. My friend and I sat outside since we weren't comfortable sitting indoors at restaurants. Their outdoor dining was minimal, just two tables, which made sense being it was November, but also because the restaurant is in a small strip mall. Totally okay--I understand with Covid everyone is trying their best to accommodate. It was just a randomly hot November day (I'm talking high 70s!) and unfortunately the sun was blazing down on us and I felt a sunburn forming lol. There was no shade to escape the burning sun. We also felt like we were forgotten about because we were the only party sitting outside, so we had to wait awhile for refills on water or napkins, etc. I felt that was the only downside to our experience.
