The food was amazing and the owner was super friendly. They had free samples of bread, but you'll want to buy it then.

Visited Krust Café Freehold today for the 1st time. It definitely will NOT be the last. The place is small but cute. The food absolutely delish. I was greeted by a man who I now know from videos is the owner. Very nice helpful and welcoming. He showed me bread samples and I opted to taste the chocolate bread. OMG No words. I ended up buying the last loaf. He gave me suggestions for lunch and I chose the Fancy Bird Shooters. Delish!!!! And the chips that come with it.... Wow! Plenty of food also, I could not finish it all. You can eat in or take out. He did say he is working on extending hours. I will definitely be back!

Krust is the definition of a hidden gem. I can guarantee in a year they won't be so hidden. The place is awesome baking their own bread and letting you sample pretty much everything. The pork roll egg and cheese on homemade bread is one of the best in the area. We also bought a sourdough loaf fresh out of the oven and it was divine. The proscuitto sandwich with burrata also lovely. They are also the nicest people in there. Highly recommend.

Been to krust cafe multiple times and gets better and better each time. 10/10 breakfast joint

    Worst breakfast ever.

I tried so very hard to like this place. The decor is cute, the staff were very friendly. The cafe was extremely clean. If I was reviewing those things the cafe would get 10 stars - however, I'm rating food and this was one of the worst breakfasts I've ever had - and when you are a breakfast cafe you had better get it right! They didn't come close to getting it right - not by a long shot. I ordered orange juice, they were out of it. The coffee was hot but that's truly the only nice thing I can say about it. My scrambled eggs were overcooked by at least 5 minutes - they were inedible and not eaten. The bacon had great flavor but parts were cooked nicely while other parts were either raw or burnt. The sourdough toast was not toasted - just barely warmed up and doughy. I asked where my home fries were and were told they were also sold out. For a breakfast place to be sold out of two mainstay staples, serve coffee that only qualifies because of its temperature and to serve eggs that my cat wouldn't even consider eating is just very sad and pathetic. I might have given this place a second try but by the look of my eggs and the eggs at the tables near by I assume that they feel this is the way eggs should be cooked and served so a second trip would be just wasting another twenty dollar bill. Take the extra 4 minute ride and go to the Freehold Grill on Rt 33 - they know what they are doing!!

Every time my son and I go in there, the food is great and the owner and staff are always so friendly and very attentive.

I ordered the burger, which was pretty big and juicy. The fries were nice and crispy as well. For dessert, we got the banana dulce de leche gelato and ice cream cookie sandwiches. The gelato was so unique and rich. The ice cream cookie sandwiches were perfect for me and I loved the side of Nutella with nuts on top which added a nice crunch. Their commitment to hospitality beats most restaurants I've ever visited. In our reservation, I noted that we were celebrating a birthday. When we were sat at the table, a birthday card was waiting for my mom. Our waitress Bailey was so nice and accommodated my mom's request to not draw too much attention to the celebration. I also adore the atmosphere in 618. The lighting is so elegant with the many chandeliers and the flowers on the walls. 618 has easily become a top restaurant for me.

Very cool that Venue 618 was the only NJ restaurant to make the recent Yelp Top 100 restaurants in the US. Sitting at the bar, we were served by Zoey, Steve, and Mike. They've re-done their cocktail menu to include beautiful color illustrations. I enjoyed "One in a Melon," a well-balanced whiskey cocktail with Frank August small batch bourbon, melon, poblano pepper, Aperol, and lime. This was followed by a tasty whiskey sour. My wife ordered a Lemon Drop martini, followed by a decadent chocolate-pistachio dessert martini. All of the cocktails were well-balanced and delicious. On the food side, I munched on a baked macaroni & cheese with chorizo. It was perfect! The Death of Hospitality brand thrives on personalization and unexpected surprises. Mixologist Steve, realizing that I'm a whiskey afficionado, surprised me with a small pour of Rock Hill Farms Single Barrel bourbon. This is a difficult bottle to find in New Jersey. Rock Hill Farms was incredible, with a super long finish. Thanks for the memories 618!

When I walked into the restaurant, there were 6 people standing ahead of us at the hostess stand. Tables were emptying out but no one even acknowledged our existence for - no exaggeration- 15 minutes. We made conversation with the people around us that it was almost comical that no one even said they'd be with us in a moment. It was odd and we almost left and walked to The Buttered Biscuit down the street, but we stuck it out. Once we were seated we were given a tiny placard to scan the menu with our phones. Service after being seated was surprisingly consistent after our long wait time to be seated with no acknowledgment from staff. I have a gluten allergy and the online menu did not have specific information showing what was GF or GFA. When I asked the sever about it she rattled off some GF options but of course I couldn't remember all of them, having them marked on the menu would be so helpful. I ordered the Birria Omelette but chose to have the tortilla strips on the side since they were in a shared fryer. The dressing for the side salad was light and tangy. The omelette was supposed to be French style but wasn't creamy in the middle. Birria meat was tender and kind of overwhelmed the overall taste of the omelette. I also had an iced decaf mocha latte and it was good, not too sweet and pretty much coffee flavored chocolate milk. My dining companion had the classic French toast, which looked delicious and he really enjoyed it but I didn't taste it because "gluten." Ambiance is really nice, tables are well spaced and the restaurant is well decorated. Not sure if I'll be back but glad I tried it!

On Mother's Day Sunday, there were several groups waiting outside to be seated, so my boyfriend and I were concerned about the wait. Fortunately, they took our name and number down and ~10 minutes later, I received a text and we were seated! The inside is cutely decorated and nice and bright! The menu has many options and there was even a Mother's Day specials menu. We got the avocado toast and chicken sandwich with turkey bacon on the side and sweet potato fries substituted for normal fries. The food came out relatively quickly and everything looked delicious! The bread of the avocado toast was very thick and I could tell that fresh avocado was used and smashed for the toast! I do wish that the bread itself was toasted more and maybe with butter, but it was still delicious! The side salad was also refreshing but could use some dressing. Overall, I was happy with my avocado toast! My boyfriend enjoyed his chicken sandwich and noted that the chicken was juicy and the fries were good as well. We enjoyed our experience and would definitely come back! We noticed that a nearby mom received a complimentary compact mirror from the staff in celebration of mother's day which was cute.
