Greeted at the door on a lazy Friday not long before closing, we were greeted warmly at the door seated inside the spacious and rustic-homey feeling dining area. My wife ordered the Smash Burger. A delicious two-patty delight with a special sauce. I had the Loaded Potato "Pizette." A 14 inch flatbread with mozzarella cheese, pillowy home fries and garlic aeoli, this was delicious, the bread perfect, not too hard, not too soft. I love taking my fam here for breakfast. There's something on the menu for everyone! There's very traditional breakfast options but also fun and unique choices as well. These pictures are from our most recent visit but everything I have ever tried has always been delicious and the portion size has always been substantial! The last few times I came I had some of their pizzas and they were so so incredibly good! I personally love a pizza for breakfast option. I personally had the prosciutto sandwich and it was so fresh and yummy, I didn't finish so I reheated the next day for lunch and it was just as good! I love when I can trust food to be good leftovers! The service is always great, the servers have always been so friendly and offer awesome suggestions. It was such a cute little surprise. From the outside, it looks like a total hole in the wall, but once you walk in, super cute, nicely decorated, and definitely a vibe. I ordered the berry cream frappe and my boyfriend got a coffee. Both were pretty good! For food, I had the chicken and waffles and he got the bacon, egg, and cheese. This is such a hidden gem. Benedicts can always be hit or miss but theirs is cooked perfectly. It would be so nice if there was an option to add a third egg as an up charge because the eggs felt a little light compared the other other ingredients. Even still, it was delicious. The iced latte also comes with whipped cream and a drizzle Service is quick and friendly and there is a cute little vibe in the dining room. A cute homely brunch spot in Sayerville! It appears to be a converted pizzeria to a brunch place, but they still have some pizettes on the menu as well. The decor is very adorable here with rustic taste and half-wall mirrors to make the place feel roomy. The food here is pretty decent, with extra points to the plating. They are definitely heavy on the sauce for both the chicken and waffles and the eggs benedicts. The chicken and waffles though are nice and crispy because they use a bubble waffle base. The eggs benedict was very chopped up for an eggs benedict, but made the sauce drench the dish and become a lil saucey. I loved the omelet though, as it was a fritata style omelette which was nice and moist. The house-baked bread was definitely a highlight, listed as a bread crisp on their menu because it is extra toasted (and not going to lie, a lil burnt on the sides), but it is delicious with a little butter or paired with the omelet on top. I was excited to see a "live performance" aspect of the cafe del notto, which is basically just coffee milk, but they shake up the espresso and milk in front of you. Truly not much to see and for $8 for 1, I would have been pretty upset, but $12 for 2 made me feel a little bit less ripped off. I think I went on an off day because my experience was unique. Their coffee machine had broken and our order were diluted and room temperature. They comped us for those beverages at least but it put a damper on my experience when you're really expecting a cup of joe to start your day lol. Service was kind but a little slow especially for a weekday. Food was average. I'd give them another shot at redemption though because the menu seemed like they had a lot of great options. I think this place used to be a pizzeria because the front of the restaurant has a large pizza oven and a decent sized area where guests waiting for tables can sit. It kind of looks like it used to be a pizzeria at one time. Located in a small strip mall on the opposite end of Sayreville and real close to South River. This place is small in the front as you walk in. But opens up for a good amount of tables in the back area. For starters, what else but 2 cappuccinos. They look almost like goblets in size. :) We ordered two breakfast bowls. For her a Gobble Benny that had turkey bacon/turkey sausage, spinach, plus a garlic sauce. I went for the Uncle Benedetto bowl. They look very similar. But this had crispy pancetta, fresh mozzarella/arugula, a lemon hollandaise sauce drizzled with garlic aioli. Service was excellent. I finally found an AMAZING place to eat close to home! I'm a New Yorker that just moved to NJ. As such my go to eateries were in downtown Brooklyn and Manhattan known for their incredible ambiance and food. Walking into this place I felt like I was back in NY. Gotta add another one since this one was for their catering - but for NYE we ordered a half tray of lasagna and the pesto chicken. First off- this lasagna was HEAVY, and the aroma coming from that and pesto chicken made me salivate in the car. We cracked it open for a sneak peak and I almost felt like I was transported to Italy on the express plane from flavortown. I couldn't wait til the evening to assess how dinner would be as the mystery was consuming me, so I took the plunge into what would be some of the best 5 minutes of lasagna history. As the tears rolled down my face in pure bliss, my wife heard me from the other room wondering as if something happened. I had to reassure her that everything wasn't just fine, it was incredible, beautiful even. As I took another bite, I plunged deeper into lasagna and pesto heaven so she decided to partake in this adventure with me, equally enamored by the beauty of this meal. I've been here for breakfast 3 or 4 times. The food has always been delicious and interesting. The berry french toast I had was delicious, and others in our party at our last visit loved the frittata and also the avocado toast (with tomatoes, mozzarella and pesto).
