Owner (or counter person) is always rude. My fiancé and I went in this morning at around 8:30 and ordered three bagels with cream cheese and avocado slices. After taking our order, the counter person flung a takeout menu at us and said to just call in next time because they only had 2 people working. He also gave us wildly incorrect change after we payed, and harshly claimed we completely "wiped him out". We are terribly sorry to have inconvenienced you sir. Don't worry, we won't be coming back. I don't even know where to start, today I had the worst experience in my life, first off when we came in the young blonde lady that was taking our order was very impatient when I was trying to figure out what I wanted, when we ordered a breakfast sandwich the other older lady with dark hair came out from the back and said with attitude " this is the last breakfast sandwich I'm going to make today" when we got our order I asked her if they stopped doing breakfast at a certain time because we would have been more than happy to order something else, she said we close at 3:30 mind you it was 11am I told her that her comment made us very uncomfortable and made us not even want to order because we felt like a burden, as we started to walk out they both shout from the back "never come back" I was so shocked that they treated locals this way it's a shame because food was great I have just never been treated so poorly, I get customer service is a tough industry but you should never treat people this way. read more

Will never go back here ever again.. My boyfriend, cousin, and I came 1 hr from out of town and found this small spot to get a quick breakfast. As soon as we walked in we felt unwelcome by Reyna. She kept rushing us to order and when we were ready, we got serviced with a very sour and poor attitude. She gave us the impression that she didn't want to be there. When we were ready to pay she gave us a very passive aggressive response, couldn't we see that she was preparing the food??? and we could pay when she finished. I didn't appreciate the aggression at all. When my cousin went to pay, Reyna told us that we should call next time and place the order.... I only gave 1 star because the breakfast bagel was okay, the eggs didn't taste fresh, and she used the microwave to heat everything up. We were hungry and settled. Overall, uncomfortable experience and the employee could use more people-person skills and a more positive attitude, that's FOR SURE. read more

This is my all time favorite breakfast spot in Sonora! I actually get it for lunch more often! The pizza pesto bagel with Chicken Salad is my jam! Sarge is awesome, I always see people complaining about him and his attitude but he honestly doesn't need your business, he's been doing this for long enough, I think he's got it figured out. If I could come here everyday I would, I did for about a year in Cosmetology school and Sarge and I have grown close, he knows my voice when I call always makes me a killer bagel! Atmosphere was nice even though covid still has the inside of most places closed. Me and my wife both had a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel. As a passing tourist I stopped by this shop to purchase a dozen bagels for tomorrow's breakfast for our group. This was mid June, 2013 in the height of the summer tourist season. The male behind the counter was talking to a local who was quite chatty. I waited patiently as I did feel it was right to interrupt. However, the male employee made no effort to curtail the local's discussion (gossiping about someone) or to multi-task and help me while listening to the story. Anyway, the male employee told me he could only sell me two or three bagels as he didn't have enough and didn't want to run out for the lunch business! Seriously!? Since when do you not have enough bagels to sell a dozen at 11 a.m? So selling bagel sandwiches is more important than selling bagels? The male employee was not very kind about it either. Apparently the owner of this business doesn't want to be profitable and doesn't know how to operate a business, staff or employ decent employees. Give this place a miss and go somewhere else. Better yet, skip Sonora entirely. It's dirty, crowded and they only allow parking for 3 hours. Seriously Sonora...this is how you want to attract tourism??? Go to Murphy's, CA where they are friendly, dog friendly and want your tourism. read more

I ordered a whole wheat bagel with cream cheese my first morning in town and I got a cold hard bagel with a stingy serving of cream cheese. After smearing the cheese onto a small area I consumed it in 2 bites and threw the rest in the garbage. This guy doesn't get it----People will pay a lot of money for a good product. His quality and quantity are just mediocre and who wants that other then some local schlepp who doesn't know better. He could charge a lot more if he gave you a good product. read more

My issue with this place is the hygiene practices. Well, I actually did not see any evidence that they practice hygiene. Here was my experience today: The man at the register cut my bagel and put in toaster with bare hands without washing. Then he took my money and operated the cash register before taking out my bagel again with bare hands. Then he handed the bagel to the owner who had to put down the broom and dustpan he was just using to grab my bagel with his bare unwashed hands and prepare the sandwich. read more

I travel for work, and I had a gap in my schedule so I spotted this local establishment. I walked in around 11AM, not busy and most of the bagels were practically gone. I took a chance and just ordered. I got a salmon lox sandwich on a jalapeno bagel. BEST SANDWICH EVER! Not only was the bagel soft, but just everything about this sandwich was on point! Try it, you won't be disappointed! I see why most of the bagels were gone by 11AM! So glad there was a jalapeno bagel left (which is my go to bagel at any bagel shop). Probably spoiled in the city, but by far the worst bagel breakfast sandwhich I have had aside from fast food. Maybe, it was because the guy who prepared it left it on the counter while I was on a business call instead of bringing it ten feet to me so I knew it was done. Half warm didn't hel any. Small. Cramped. No wi fi. Door bangs annoyingly and the sign on the door to close it doesn't seemd to get noticed so everyone who comes in is asked to close the door. It could be a nice little nook. What is it with such foul service people? Were they dot com leftovers doing wahtever they can for work? It wouldn't surprise me these days.
