Just got another Lox bagelwhich and that same gooey cinnamon roll. It was really soft and doughy and it satisfied my sweet cravings for some morning explosions of happiness in my mouth for my taste buds. I had a hot and black coffee to wash it all down too. If I could give this place a lower rating I would. I ordered a bagel and a latte yesterday from this place. Staff was EXTREMELY rude. I was called an idiot for asking a basic question about their cream cheese. When confronting the employee about calling me an idiot she responded that she was referring to another customer... Talk about being a coward wow! I don't know why there are so many five star reviews saying the food is good. It isn't. Bagel was bland and crumbly. Latte was crap too. While visiting my hometown I was so glad to find a bagel shop right next to the hotel I was staying at but I was extremely let down with the service and most importantly the food! The guy behind the counter was kind of rude and seemed like he was in rush but there was no one else in line behind me, and when he asked me if I wanted cream cheese I said "no I would like avocado"... THE BAGEL CAME OUT WITH A SINGLE SLICE OF BROWN AVOCADO. My everything bagel was dry and tasteless (I ONLY TOOK ONE BITE) and my partner who ordered a sausage and egg bagel said his bagel was dry and not too great. I'm not sure if the guy doesn't like people visiting Sonora or what his issue was but if your gonna be a jerk at least make good food. I came in today at 10:45 for a half dozen bagels to bring up on a camping trip. They told me rudely that they would not sell me 6 bagels because the 15 that they had left was all the had for the rest of the day. They could only sell me 2, maybe 3. Aren't you in the business of selling bagels, and you're going to turn down customers who want to buy from you?? I drove all the way from east Sonora to not be able to get everything I needed and had to go to a grocery store to get the rest. We went to the Bagel Bin for the first time. The man that helped us was very rude. We told him that we wanted to buy a dozen bagels. He asked if we lived local when we said yes... he said we should call a day before. But he would see what he could do. We asked for plain and everything bagels. He asked if we could pick a couple different ones. So we chose a jalapeno pizza and a jalapeno cheese... So he puts 3 everything, jalapeno pizza,jalapeno cheese and the rest pizza... no plain and we didn't even ask for pizza... when we asked to put plain and not pizza he was huffing and puffing about cause of the inconvenience I guess. Then I asked for cream cheese and lox... he didn't even mix it .. saying he didn't want us to have to wait... The customer service we received from him was horrible. First off the lady making the bagels in the back was extremely rude and impatient. She doesn't like to answer questions about what's on the menu. The lady, taking the money in the front at the register helps with the bagels. She did not wash or sanitize her hands between taking money, helping customers and going back to help with making the bagels. Someone came in after is that they clearly knew they prepared his food first then we had to sit and wait for about four minutes after he left to get our food and we had ordered before him. the bagels themselves were very dense and had no flavor. We are visiting in town and Apple reviews were good. We went, and the address listed is not where they are, I think it is the bakery part. Nice walk and we arrive. The girl at the counter was sweet. I ordered and asked if I can have cream cheese put on my bagel sandwich (with egg and sausage) and how much, not wanting the cream cheese to overpower. I asked if I could have the cream cheese on the side, and the cook yells "don't these idiots know the cream cheese always comes on the side?!?" I told her I had never been to this business, so no, I did not, and she (the cook) said she was talking about another customer, which would only be the elderly couple, so poor form. She apparently wasn't ready for the customer to respond to her directly. The bagel was not a bagel but a roll. Apparently they don't know that you boil it first to get the shiny, chewy texture. The food mediocre, and the cream cheese did NOT come on the side. Latte was so hot I burned my tongue and had to wait about 45 minutes to drink it. If you come to Sonora, avoid this place. There are so many places to eat, I cannot fathom how this place is still in business. Should have checked Yelp first, as apparently the feeling is mutual among other diners. read more

Absolutely the worst service person I have encountered in Sonora. I placed a deal dash order to have delivered because I am very busy at work. Next thing I know I get a text that says I can pick up my order. I call the girl who answered the phone was really rude!!! I told her I had ordered it for delivery, she stated not our problem, we just make the sandwich's! So I go over there to get my order a sandwich and a Dr Pepper. I give her my name at the counter and she points to her left, my right. This is the first time I ordered from them, on the app gave them a 15% tip, which I wouldn't have given. So finally she walks and shows me it is on an end table in a bag. At this point I am beyond everything. I left got back to work and realized I hadn't gotten my beverage. The sandwich was not goo either, old wilted lettuce, mushy tomato. I will never go back there again!!! Rude service people, lowsy food, thanks I don't need this kind of thing in my life. I'm seeing here that everyone coming from out of town was treated badly and I guess I'll just say the same. First off, when I walked in there were a few customers and nobody wearing masks (including the people working there). I was pretty shocked but tried to order anyway and was treated very sarcastically and rudely by the man who took my order. I then get the bagel and it was absolutely inedible. I ordered the turkey sandwich on an everything bagel, a salad and a cinnamon roll for later. The sandwich was terrible. The bagel was burnt so it was hard, crumbly and REALLY dry. They put 2 very very thin slices of turkey so I couldn't even taste the turkey. The salad was iceberg lettuce, tomato and a few red onion slivers. It wasn't terrible just plain. I ate the cinnamon roll later that evening and it was so stale and dry that it was inedible. I even tried microwaving it a bit to warm it and was hoping it would soften it up a bit. All in all it was pretty terrible. There are so many other places to eat in Sonora that are really good so I will never eat there again. read more

I ordered a bagel basket for some friends and what I got was so much more than I expected. There was a variety of bagels with everything you could want for toppings; sliced onions, tomatoes, capers, cream cheese, lox, and jam in case they wanted something sweet for the plain ones. There were also huge cinnamon rolls and fresh fruit (oranges and a banana). The goodies were arranged in a lovely basket, protected in a cellophane bag with a ribbon bow. I was amazed and happy with the care they took for my order. Not to mention, everything was delicious! The lox was outstanding, the bagels and all items were fresh and beautifully presented. Add friendly service to the order and it was a top notch transaction. The Bagel Bin will definitely be one of my go-to places for good food in downtown Sonora. The staff has personality and the interactions with them require a quick wit, sarcasm, and a healthy dose self-deprecating humor. I walked in and asked if he had coffee.. he shockingly looked at me for a couple of seconds and then said .. not expensive coffee. I then said that's fine. It was a little sweet so I went up with my half drunken cup and asked for more seltzer water. Woman with dark hair stared at me. Went in the back starts opening a can of seven up and comes out sighing that we don't use seltzer water it's seven up and I had to open a whole new can for you. I said you could have simply said it is not seltzer water, but seven up. Then I would have been fine. But thank you. From my table I can hear her in the back telling her crew about the girl who came up and wanted seltzer water. Like we have seltzer water and I had to get another can of soda and on and on.
