Had two separate friends recommend this place when they heard we were going to Key West, and it did not disappoint! Dinner was excellent! We had the tuna steak and the filet mignon. Food was spot on we cleaned our plates. I hear their brunch is excellent as well but haven't tried it yet. Would recommend making reservations, as walk ins we were lucky enough to get the last high top but shortly after the place was booked full. Given the food I understand why! read more

So disappointing. Not sure how they got so many good reviews, our meal was mediocre at best. Came for brunch, cocktails were good. I got the huevos Ranchero which was just 2 eggs on corn tortillas, no beans nothing special at all and my potatoes were Luke warm and not fresh. Temperature was an issue with every plate at the table. Nothing was hot. My sisters cornbread on the Benedict was ice cold, she returned it and had warm cornbread but with room temperature hollandaise. Ugh. Overpriced and not worth it!! read more

The food was ok. My seafood linguine was a bowl of salt, and I like salt! The worst part was our server who was incredibly rude. She couldn't stay at our table long enough. It was like we were an inconvenience. We had barely gotten our order out before she ran off as fast as she could. Never introduced herself. We didn't dare ask questions, and don't even know what the special was that night. At the end of the dinner she threw the dessert menu on the table and said, "dessert menu" and ran off as fast as she could again. Cute, delicious restaurant. They have yummy brunch options as well as lunch. For brunch I would definitely recommend the banana French toast. It's delicious! Just keep in mind that the syrup is very sweet and thick. If this is a concern, I'd order it on the side. Otherwise the classic corn flake toast is just as good! read more

We made a last minute reservation and we're seated on the outside balcony which was so lovely. The cocktail list is refined and refreshing. We shared a variety of things: the Brie, the pear salad, and the grouper. The pear salad was nothing to write home about, but the grouper with the risotto primavera...oh. My. God. One of the best dishes I have had in a really long time. Everything was cooked perfectly, and it was a generous portion for dinner. If you get it, I would get a light app or skip one altogether. Definitely worth the money. The server also split the salad and grouper into two portions since we were sharing which was so appreciated. Very disappointed. Have been twice this month and requested in our reservations upstairs indoor seating in A/C. The first time after arriving for our reservation, we were told that the upstairs was closed. Not too long after we were seated downstairs in the open air bar area, we began noticing the hostess taking guests upstairs to dine. Today we went with friends who had suggested the same accommodations as we had previously. We arrived and were taken upstairs to the outdoor seating, not the indoor A/C. The hostess told us the only seating we could get " indoors " was the high top table in the upstairs bar, which we took. Clearly reservations mean nothing. The food was just ok. Certainly not worth what we paid. As locals, had we had a good experience, we would return. Two strikes for us is enough to keep us from going back. read more

We had a delightfully amazing dinner while visiting Duval Street in Key West. We sat out on the front porch people watching and listening to the band over at Hogs Breath Saloon. I had looked at yelp reviews and this place came highly recommended. I'm so glad we came! I ordered the Brussels sprouts for an app and they were delish! For my meal I decided on 2 appetizers. The mussels was absolutely outstanding. The sauce was so tasty. Dipping the bread in it was amazing!!! I also got the lobster Mac and cheese. I was full but it was good. I picked the lobster out mostly. There wasn't as whole lot of lobster but it was good. My husband got the swordfish. It came out but wasn't hot. It was actually cold so he sent it back to get warmed up. They cooked him a new meal and rushed it out. Well, unfortunately it wasn't cooked. The whole middle was raw. He really couldn't eat it like that which was unfortunate because he couldn't send it back a second time. His experience wasn't half as good as mine. I really loved this place. Hands down the best restaurant we ate at in Key West. We were here 4 days and ate here for 2 of those days. I didn't get to enjoy any of the food unfortunately. I booked reservations and when we came in I was told that we couldn't be seated or taken care of. After some confusion, I pointed to my name on the reservation list and emphasized that I made reservations. She then rolled her eyes at me and said, "you have 10 minutes." After being sat, I was greeted by 2 different servers and she said to me, "you have 7 minutes." I totally understand, the kitchen was closing. The server was polite but I'm surprised that a fine dining restaurant lacked general hospitality. It would be wise if they updated the reservations. read more

So we really wanted to like this place because the location is perfect right on Duval it's cozy upstairs nice ambience but the food not so good. We ordered the brie for appetizer it was hard and on the chilly side the crackers that it came with were stale. We shared the wahoo dish and it was just on. Nothing extraordinary. happy hour, super hot inside though. I got the french toast and it wasn't cinnamon at all it was more just fried toast but it was good. My bf got the tacos and he liked them but it was too much egg it was super filling. It was still expensive even on happy hour and us getting everything pretty cheap. Happy hour portions were huge so i couldn't imagine getting full size meals. Bartender was okay but there was animosity in the building and she was talking crap about some kid that worked there, not really the vibe you want for breakfast and when you're paying 50$ for a happy hour meal. Management should maybe hire bartenders that provide a better experience but she was yelling at the manager across us and in our faces. Based on that alone I wouldn't return. read more

She then offered the special which we had been told (by her) they were out of. Once my fish came to the table, It was not cooked fully. Food also took awhile. Cocktails were overall pretty good. This was one of our favorite restaurants while visiting Key West! The ambiance and atmosphere were exactly what we were looking for while on vacation! The restaurant is an old renovated home making it super comfortable and homey! We sat on the porch while it stormed outside! Listening to the rain was enjoyable and relaxing while waiting for our meal! We started with apps and bread! The Lobster Mac was amazing as well as the Brie! The wedge salad helped to round out the apps! Each of our meals were well seasoned! My daughter claims her seafood pasta was one of the best she has ever had! Undoubtedly one of the better restaurants on Duval Street in Key West -- a destination full of eateries (both good and bad) but somewhat short on fine dining. Great ambiance in a Victorian-era house with both indoor and patio dining options, paired with very good service. Fish dishes I tasted were well-balanced. well-prepared, and well-presented. Ironically, the one dish that I though was meh was the Key Lime Pie, which my waiter bragged about. (Some of the basic eateries in KW had better versions, IMO). Yum stopped here off a cruise. Our sever Dave was excellent. The only mishap was the hostess was a little rude when we went to sit at a 6 top... I can understand since there was two of us but she need not be so rude about it. I was happy she was not our sever. I had the crab cake.... you get what you pay for it was delicious and full of crab. The waiter had no problem answering all our questions and was very knowledgeable about each item on the menu in terms of ingredients and food preparation. We made reservations for 4 on our first night in Key West and sat on the porch. We shared the Brussel Sprouts which were cooked perfectly. My wife and I shared the Duval salad which was the perfect combination of mixed greens, apples, bacon cranberries and blue cheese... wow!
