UVA Wines Key West - a bottle of charpelet - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Key West, Florida

I LOVE this gem of a wine shop. I am VERY particular about my wine. Mark and I discussed my wine preferences and he suggested 3 bottles. I bought one and took it on the boat we rented for the night. I LOVED it. Probably one of the best wines I have tasted. We went back when we got back from the boat and bought two more bottles. One of the wine I tried and one of the other 3 he suggested. I can't wait to try it. I saw someone left a 1 star review because Mark was busy with other customers and all I can say is, I am sorry you weren't patient. That is what customer service is... talking to your customer and finding out what they like to steer them in the right direction. If you like exceptional wines then Uva is a must. If you will drink just anything and you really don't care, just go to Publix. read more

Excellent service. The owner was very friendly and knew a lot about the wines and the area. The selection is curated and on the higher end, but delicious. The store also has some groceries that pair well, including a stocked cheese cooler. read more

I see this spot already has 5 stars and I'm sure that's all Mark. UVA Wines was recommended to us by a local masseuse. She was right. Mark was so friendly, and funny, and recommended two great bottles of wine and we got two glasses to go. Plus I love the name of his no-love-for-Buffett band, Parrothead Massacre. Too good! read more

Absolutely the best wine bar/store on the island! We had a recommendation from a local to check this place out and we are very glad we did! Not only did we have glorious wines by the glass, but Mark helped us with dinner recommendations/reservations for the rest of our trip! There was also a jewelry pop up shop and I was able to purchase beautiful conch shell earrings while I was there. They have a few of her items available at all times too. read more

The perfect oasis, whether just popping in for some conversation and a glass or two - or the full dinner experience. And he does a great job with gift bags for clients and friends as well! read more

Legit place to grab wine. While it is certainly a solid place to grab a wine and go, it is even better to sit and relax. Enjoy the fantastic wine you just purchased with a pairing of cheeses that go well with the wine you purchased. The wine will likely go well with the very generous ~25$ of cheese you can order. Mark is a thoughtful, experienced person who knows wine. He also gives a great commentary on life. Make sure you tip Mark well! He may be a one-man show, but his heart is in the wine business--it really shows read more

Great little shop to explore... the owner, Mark, is knowledgeable and friendly, and he cherry picks the wines he wants to carry. My first experience with UVA was when a very dear client sent me an UVA gift bag for my birthday. Not only was the bad delivered to my office personally by Mark, but it was a really nicely done gift. A bottle of wine, rosemary crackers, a block of fancy cheese, and a too die for jar of spicy, red wine jelly. It was all FANTASTIC! Shortly after this delivery I had to try the place in person, and was not disappointed! Now, I cannot say enough good things about this place.
