We went again recently as we wanted to try their thali. We placed an order for a thali and a family style biryani. After 30 mins and several reminders we got a regular size biryani and the thali. Upon asking if that was intended family size they realized they misplaced our order and asked us to wait and meanwhile have the biryani that they served. The biryani was cold with some hot spots indicating it was heated up in a microwave. Needless to say I was disappointed, I tried asking them about it and the lady helping us mentioned that it was her first day and she wasn't sure about it. Best food I ever have, I love the biryani here since the spices are not too heavy. Chicken in the Mandi was falling of the bones and very flavorful. My favorite dish here which I get every week is the fried chicken. Service is ok, it is not bad for an Indian restaurant. Have recently started ordering from here and have loved their Panner tikka sizzler which contains two type of paneers and some salads. Love the flavor. Also had their Bagara special paneer biryani was very delicious. I did a pickup and the order was ready within minutes Sevice was pretty good. Having been to Hyderabad, I found the food to be very authentic and very expansive for vegetarians as well. When we think of biryani, we don't think about vegetarian options sometimes, but this place made sure to have so many options that we have leftovers and we have more things that we want to come back and try. Their service was amazing. All the waiters explained the dishes and explained what makes each dish very special and the ambience really reminded me of a nice homestyle restaurant. Orders are placed on the phone using a QR code on the table. Prepaid. They are one of the few unlimited non-veg thalis in the Bay Area, and the dishes the day we went did not disappoint. The roti and poori were both made fresh and tasted good. The chicken and mutton were well cooked. The shrimp was tasty. The standout dish had to be the Bagara Rice. We've ordered from Bagara's a couple of times now via doordash. I am conflicted about the rating because there were hits and misses. I think 3.5 stars is probably fair. We've tried the Meghana Chicken Fry piece Biryani, Mutton Ghee Roast Biryani, Karvepaku Chicken Roast, Chicken 555, Mushroom Pepper Fry, and Mutton Ghee Roast, The chicken biryani was very enjoyable but the goat biryani was so-so; the mutton pieces were more bone and fat than meat and the biryani could definitely use more masala - it was a tad dry. The chicken Karvepaku was unique - crispy, spicy and flavorful - haven't tasted anything like it before. The Chicken 555 and Mushroom Pepper Fry were decent. The Mutton ghee roast was fantastic - the meat was succulent and the masala was on point. Overall, worth a try, if you are into spicy South Indian cuisine read more

I have been ordering non-veg lunch box via WeBox at work almost every week. I absolutely love their food. So much so that I order it at least twice a week. I haven't been to the restaurant yet. But I definitely want to visit. Also, their roti and chicken items are out of the world. Please please stay this way and don't compromise on the quality and portion size. Any restaurant that claims to be authentic Hyderabadi kitchen should know the stakes are high. Unfortunately Bagara's failed to meet standards of a decent biryani place. So called Meghana's Fry piece biryani ( I assumed they were trying to replicate Bangalore's Iconic biryani joint) was salty and dry fried and lacks any flavor. Same goes with the biryani rice. should i have sticked to their Bagara rice and a curry? . In any case wouldn't comeback until yelp community says they turned the tables. Love the Bagara Rice and curries here. Some starters are good. Like the curry leaf chicken , mushroom pepper fry . Didn't like the Apollo fish that much though, smelled a bit too fishy. Order is ready pretty quick . Never dined in, but seems like a good place. read more

The thali says you can get as many curries that you want, if you ask them they will make you wait and even if yiu get those, it will barely have any meat, if yiu ask them again, they will say you will only get it once, but this clause is not mentioned on the menu and the taste is ok. read more

I've been a loyal customer at Bagara, visiting at least 6 times and ordering the same reliable item each visit: mirchi bajji. For the first 4-5 trips, it was consistently delicious with 4 solid pieces--crispy, spicy, and perfectly stuffed. That's what kept me coming back. But on my 6th visit, something felt off. I received only 3 pieces. When I politely asked the owner about it, his response was baffling: "The previous servings were a mistake." A mistake? Five times in a row? That doesn't add up--suddenly, skimping on portions is the "right" way? It felt like pure excuses to cover up inconsistency. He offered a refund on the spot, but by then, I'd lost all trust and just paid full price to get out of there. No accountability, no quality control, just lies that erode any goodwill. If you're looking for a spot where portions (and promises) shrink without warning, Bagara might be your place. Otherwise, save your money and find somewhere reliable. Ordered Gongura Mutton Biryani, It was one of the worst biryanis i ever tested in my life. Meat quality was terrible; the meat was so salty that I could not eat anything. Salan was a thick paste not sure when they put it in the plastic container. The only eatable thing was yogurt raita.
