There were maybe 5-6 banchan as well. The service was really quick, friendly and accommodating as they helped bring plates and utensils for the cake at the end. We felt bad because we were the last ones and they were waiting for us but we didn't feel pressured to leave by them at all, it was just us being mindful. Happy anniversary to Baegopa (10/10/21)! Was able to drop in for a great meal and as always, left extremely pleased. Service continues to stand out and make Baegopa one of the best kbbq spots around here. There's definitely bias with service for friends, so you might see them visit the table next to you four or five times before coming to you, but honestly they glance and are aware of whether or not you need service (i.e. more meat, food, or a grill change). Other than that, you may still have to flag someone down, especially if you want more banchan or more rice as that's harder to identify with a simple glance. Still, at least I get my grill changed often (usually each rotation of meat) compared to some other places where you have to ask and then they still "forget." It's also nice that they allow you to order the soup as part of the all-you-can-eat option rather than provide it. Helps reduce food waste for sure and not force you to eat something that you weren't planning on (in case you were focused on the meat, for instance). They're also adding more meat options which is great. They used to be rather limited which was the main "con" of this location. I am disappointed that the ribeye is gone though but in it's place there's now garlic beef and garlic pork. Brisket, pork belly, marinated beef, galbi, and chicken still remain. I like It! It's tasty and the service is nice. Usually they have a lot of people in, but when we visited they had just opened and we were like the third table lol. The only downsides we can find to this place is that parking is a struggle and sometimes you have to ask multiple times for the rice paper before it makes it to your table. Also I can't recall them having bulgogi on the AYCE menu, but they did have these new bulgogi wraps which could be purchased separately. I know it's a Korean barbecue place, and it's probably best as a sit-down dinner with the AYCE, but I work in the area and I coworker and I were hankering for Korean. Located in Chinatown, this AYCE kbbq spot is super convenient to get to with the LINK (for UW students at least) compared to others that are farther away. There are a decent amount options available to choose from, with a couple soups included too, and you choose 4 at a time. I do have to say that the garlic pork was super salty, but it could just be our batch. The sides were pretty good too, my favorite being the salad. Rice is also bottomless. Fair quality for higher-than-average price. Based on the menu pricing, it makes much sense to AYCE than a la carte if you're ordering 3+ meats. There are no fume hoods! so avoid my mistake and wear appropriate clothes & protect your hair. We tried most of the offerings. Beef brisket and shortrib are great: cooked tender and rich with juices. Marinated beef is not the same as your typical bulgolgi; the marinade has a distinct savory taste without any sugary sweetness. Pair these meats with the tofu soup! The soup is freshly made from the kitchen and sports a tasty broth. Things that could do better: side dishes and rice were cold or dehydrated by time they reached my table; fried chicken was overly fried and lost any texture except its crisp; and sticking to one music genre (bounced between Kpop, rap, and R&B). We came on a sunday evening right after opening, we made reservations 2 days in advance via phone to ensure there would be seats. When we arrived there was no one at the front entry way so we waited for about 5 to 10 minutes. I think they are likely short on staff like everywhere else, but once the guy came out he greeted and seated us as soon as possible. The service - was good, despite their only being two workers they checked in often and changed our grill plates frequently. They always remembered our order and asked us ahead of time if we wanted more. The only thing that was a downside is they brought us pork belly when we hadn't ordered any, but otherwise great service! The ambience - was busy and bustling. The restaurant looked trendy yet clean, but there weren't large fans so it did get a bit smoky. The grills themselves had fans below, but perhaps were not strong enough. The food - we got the AYCE bbq and it was good! I was a little sad they didn't have spicy pork, but their brisket and LA Kalbi were delish. They also offer soups to order and fried chicken. The tofu soup is seasoned well and quite tasty! They also offered some bon chon plates and side salads which were decent and provided dipping/ spicy sauces which were good. They had a pretty good variety of dishes on the AYCE menu and the meat was all fresh and tasty. Parking -was chinatown street parking so it can get a little full, but was not a bad experience. The food was fine and the price wasn't terrible for AYCE...but there weren't many options for anyone wanting a smaller portion or side dishes for a reasonable price. We ended up being here for a very long time (like almost the entire time you're allowed to sit when ordering AYCE). I would come here if you love Korean bbq and want friendly service and know you can eat a lot. The interior was quite spacious and modern. Even better, we were a reasonable distance away from other tables. Of course, we went for the AYCE option ($32.95) and ordered everything except the marinated boneless chicken. Overall, the food was pretty good. Unless many other spots I've tried, there was good ventilation, so we didn't walk out smelling like pork belly or marinated beef. Here, you have to grill the food yourself. The waiter mainly delivered our food and changed the grill consistently. Our waiter was super attentive and refilled our banchan several times, especially the fish cake and kimchi. While cooking the galbi, the grill charred easily. I recommend cooking the entire plate at once. The only downside was that everything was pretty fatty, so it was good to pair with rice. Best KBBQ I've had in a while! I had passed by Baegopa several times before they had opened and was so excited that an AYCE spot would be closer to the downtown Seattle area. It was super easy to make a reservation - you can either email them or message them on Instagram and they'll put your name down! We came in a little earlier than our reservation but was sat right away. There seemed to be only one person working but he was great - he did a way better job of hitting all tables with customers and meeting everyone's needs, than a group of several servers could do. I was super impressed with the quality and speediness of the service! Now on to the food - 5/5 stars for sure. There aren't a TON of different choices, but for the portions you get, it's definitely still worth it. We got every selection of meat except for chicken and only made it about one full round of 4 choices, plus two additional. The banchan and even the salad was impressive too. Everything tasted amazing, and was refillable so our dishes were never empty. The sauces were good, the flavors stood out, and the soup on the side was hearty and spicy. Solid AYCE Korean bbq spot with good quality meat. There are six choices of meat for AYCE now and our favorite was probably the beef brisket. Service was super attentive and nice- constantly checking on us and changing our grill. We went there at 5pm on a Friday and half the restaurant was already filled so if you come during peak hours def make reservations. Portions were also rly good and generous. We only got a second round of beef brisket bc we were stuffed. The only reason it's not five stars is it wasn't blow my mind Korean food/ bbq. after living in NY and eating Korean bbq at flushing, I've probably become spoiled by a huge selection of banchan. So if you're used to amazing Korean food from LA or Flushing Queens I would lower your expectations. Waffled a bit on the rating but I'd rate 4 stars overall. The AYCE option is priced pretty well and it's nice that they include tofu soup as part of it. Pork belly was good, but not as tender as the belly at Exit 5. Brisket shaved a bit thicker than Exit 5 as well. I prefer the thinner shaved brisket. The marinated boneless short rib was really good. Nicely balanced flavor and very tender. The item that we liked the least was the garlic beef. I'm not sure what cut they use, likely a cut from the chuck, but it had a big chunk of hard fat in the middle and meat was very tough. I would avoid that item. We didn't end up finishing it but we also weren't charge for the leftovers. If they used a more tender cut, it could be great because the flavor was good. My wife really liked the tofu soup and the banchan was good. Nothing special, but good. We also ordered the yuzu wings and although a little spicier than we were expecting, the flavor, crisp and juiciness were great. Overall a solid spot for AYCE kbbq with reasonable pricing and variety. It's really rare to find quality meat if it's an all you can eat option, but this place got it down. Nice ambiance, easy to get to, and great food. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Since it's AYCE, I'm not expecting great quality meats, but I am expecting leave with a full stomache. The place was very spacious. A lot of space and no wait even on the weekends. As a KBBQ enthusiast, this should have been my red flag to turn around. The meat quality was far below subpar - almost inedible. The garlic beef was saltier than the marinated beef. The beef brisket was thick and tough to eat. The side dishes were incredible salty - especially fish cake and bean sprouts. My party and I left immediately after ordering our first round as our appetitive dwindled and the meat was not edible. As for service, we also waited good 10 minutes to be asked if we had ordered. After we requested and check and paid, 2 other servers asked if we were done. The staff was kind though; just seems like there's a bit of disorganization from management.
